Just here to point out that Kuvira lowkey had a lot of screentime during season 3 already
She was one of the dancers with Beifong when Zao Fu and the Metal Clan were introduced. Just shows how good writing can be for TLOK when they actually write a story across more than one season.
yeah. I even think she has been in every single metal clan episode so far. And I think she has few lines in all of them even/angry groaning at zaheer during their duel.
She also was on the back of a newspaper in one scene. Plus she's interacted with the gang several times (she was the captain of the guards) -- they just didn't give her a name until now.
I think Kivira's presence during book 3 is severely underappreaciated in general.
S3 probably should have just given her a name sooner. They clearly had her planned to be a character, there was no reason not to do it.
"So P'Li's dead? No, I don't think she's dead." Uh my guy, her head got blown off. She's beyond dead. LOL. Good reaction though!
They are fucking terrible at paying attention in every show they watch because all they do is talk over each other. Rena is the only one that actually pays attention
Didn't see her head literally get blown off... But it's likely her head would look like a burnt marshmallow then she'd Die after not being able to breath under the Metal Mask.
Fucking Suraj is the worst offender, he often goes on and on about nonsense, non related to the show or even correct in context.
bro for real. Mickey kind of annoys me. All he ever talks about is the animation and then he misses important things. Plus his man-bun bothers me lol
They were just shook calm down
Remember what the Guru told Aang. To master the Avatar state he had to let Katara go.
Normal people dont have the Avatar state but apparently unlocking all their chakras let's them master their bending powers also. "Let go your earthly tether" Katara was Aang's, Pi'li was Zaheer's. After she died it became much easier to let her go and he was instantly able to unlock his last Chakra and master Airbending to an extent it hadnt been in decades.
Captain Marvelous So nof a bitch
I wonder what the other elements’ ultimate ability is
Decades? More like 4,000 years bruh
I feel like Aang never let Katara go tho
@@minecraftpro110 letting her go meant that he had to choose the world over her as his duty as the avatar to unlock the avatar state. Not that he can't love katara. He had to let go of the tether which causes him to do dumb decisions.
Ghazan/Ming Hua: So you can fly?
Zaheer: Yes, there’s absolutely nothing and no one left I care about to tether me to earth.
Ghazan: ...No one at all?
Zaheer: Nope.
Ming Hua: ...Not even a little?
Zaheer: Nope.
Ghazan: ...
Ming Hua: ...
Zaheer: ...
Ghazan: Well this is awkward.
Rachel Espiritu underrated comment
Friendship isnt quite desire or lust.
I mean I like my friends, but not "prevent myself from reaching enlightenment" like.
This is such a huge misconception people have. Letting go of your earthly tether doesn't mean you become cold or heartless or that you don't care about people. You can still have friends. It's just that you're not attached to them. You are able to let go. You don't depend of anyone or anything in the material world to achieve true happiness and enlightenment. Only by letting go of the material can you achieve the spiritual. Which is the better option.
Well they're just buissnes partners.
Zaheers introduction in Episode 3x1 foreshadows his new power pretty neatly:
_"Guru Laghima lived four thousand years ago in the Northern Air Temple. It is said that he unlocked the secret of weightlessness and became untethered from the earth, living his final forty years without ever touching the ground."_
And then you have Zaheer constantly repeating "Let go your earthly tethers. Enter the void. Empty, *and become wind*" all throughout the season to further foreshadow his new power too.
@@lalalalisa41 They learn their lesson for season 2 by repeating it
This moment was the only moment that made it possible for him to do it. Not just because his lover died but because he was able to let go of all that anguish and sorrow in a moment of serenity just after her rather brutal death when those emotions are the strongest.
Lalisa T I think he meant to include the part where he is in prison floating the rest of his life. as in "Living his final forty years without ever touching the ground"
idea:what if Zaheer was guru Laghima the entire time!
Lol how could Pi'li not have died? This isnt a jet situation. Metal wrapped around her head and we saw smoke coming from where she was. Zaheer didnt have that reaction because she was captured ya know.
Lol maybe he was just in shock
She was just firing off one of her explosions too right when metal wrapped around her head xD
Also, just before it cuts away, you can clearly see the metal glowing. She did shoot off her sparky sparks - they just never left her head.
There wasn't much of the explosion or the aftermath. Kinda like how they avoided directly saying or showing Jet's death. It was ambiguous
There is nothing ambiguous about that.
mickys333 nah it all happened very quickly. The thing is that if they had just surrounded her head with metal she could have been taken alive, which I probably would have preferred to the half assed way they portrayed her death. Don’t get me wrong she definitely died but they cut out the sound so you don’t hear the explosion and cut away from her before the explosion happened. But that’s what happens when you got a not-kids show on a kids network.
I love how Rana has been answering the rest of their questions throughout all the reactions lol
Fun fact: Sokka called his feeling whenever Aang and Katara kissed 'Oogies'. Tenzin called his bison 'Oogi'. Tenzin named his Air Bison after his parents' love.
😂ya from the comics the harmony restoration movement
P'Li's head just exploded I'm sure she's fine.
She'll just have a little headache. Nothing she can't sleep off.
Yea no head no pain
Tis but a scratch
Maybe a little headache but nothing else
-Mickey
"Oh no, it's platinum, she can't metal bend"
Micky: "Doesn't really matter, she can just metal bend it"
*Throws armor around P'Li's head just before she fires*
Micky: "Should have done that just before she fired"
Go get some sleep and bring your A-game for Season 4
Micky only talks to try and point out plot holes and "why don't they just"s anyway.
CouchPotatoCNPB Micky just has a habit of not hearing certain things like important information and Rana talking
jkjk lol
Mickey really thinks he's the smartest. Lol
Rana is literally always right and the only one enjoying herself. The other three come up with like the most ridiculous theories I have ever heard of & not only that feel the need to constantly point out every little thing that could have been done differently in terms of how the characters act & fight.
Chill dudes... They're just being themselves..
hey everyone! let’s finally make the pun we’ve been alluding to this entire time
wasn’t P’li’s death...MIND BLOWING
Lol gtfoh😂😂😂
HAHA Priceless
Micky wont get it 😂😂
I see what you did here
P'li and sparky sparky boom man both went out with a BANG!!!!!😂😂😂
Remember when Micki was soooo convinced that sokka and katara's mother was still alive the whole time? Lol.... yeahhhhh, sparky sparky boom bae is dead for sure haha
Yeah micki's not really a smart guy given his theorizing on dragon ball super
Micki just says a bunch baseless theories and hope they stick.
Literally Katara in the very first episode, "...Ever since mom died..."
Rana just gets it
Average Joe Reads yeah she makes these reactions. She’s enthused and engaged and is usually right about things.
I agree. She's very intuitive and smart
@@azulaeatingmochime2353 what's that gotta do with anything?
She actually pays attention lmao
she does her job lol
Zaheer has immersed himself in Air Nomad culture and philosophy for years while he was locked up. He's pretty much an Airbender mind, body, and soul. I believe that he was playing his part not just as a villain, but also the part that he believed was laid out for him. It's kind of like a villain taking the teachings of his enemy and applying them to his own knowledge and life goals. It's villains like him that inspire me to write stories like I do everyday.
Great point. It's the world of avatar being realistic (like it always is), any creed or ideal, when enough people follow it, will create multiple variations based on their individual interpretations. Zaheer took the "detachment and freedom" philosophy of the airbenders to the logical extreme, but with his own dark interpretation.
@The No.1 Guy - Never said I was perfect. You make it sound like you never made mistakes. You can't judge anybody.
Don't forget that's Zaheer proclaimed a self profecy he lived is final 40 years in prison flying as he entered the void. Just like Guru Lahaima
Yea. If I had to pick his alignment, I would say he was somewhere between the realms of True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral.
The best part is that he's not overrated like Azula, Kuvira, etc.
Rana it wasn’t adrenaline. Buddhists strive to release themselves from things that connect them to the physical world. Do you remember the Guru from Airbender? How he was getting Aang to release his bonds to the world. So with P’li gone there was nothing to bind Zahere and he was able to fly.
But that grew still doesn't understand the point of the avatar they need to have an earthly tether so they can interact with humanity better. It's even explained that in the digital comics they made in between book 2 and 3
but he's not a buddhist or an airnomad. He's just studied them so much that he can use their abilities - for things that are the exact opposite of their principles, like attacking defenseless enemies and killing people.
Throughout the entire series: "That's death."
When an actual death happens: "I don't think she's dead."
Kuvira voice actor is Zelda William, Robin William's daughter
Answering Machine *Robin Williams, Robbie Williams is a singer
Aang could never learn to fly or any other avatar for that matter because they can never let go their earthly tethers. Because as Yangchen said it is the Avatars sole duty to the world. Also Aang had too many relationships with others to let those go, it was easy for Zaheer after he lost the only person he truley cared for. Aang was skilled enough to have been able to learn it but never could because his duties lie with the world.
I disagree. Of all airbenders an Avatar would be the ideal person to learn the ability of flight. The key to unlocking the Avatar state also has to do with letting go of your earthly attachments just like one of the keys to unlocking flight. You are misusing Yanchen's quote implying that the Avatar has an attachment to the world and therefore could never learn flight but it's just not true because Zaheer is also deeply concerned about the world with his own principles and ideology. In other words: Both Aang and Zaheer believe they have duties to the world which is why your "attachment" argument is hypocritical. I would agree that Aang couldn't learn it because of his attachment to his friends (NOT his duties) but another factor to unlocking flight is to also "believe it" or "believe in yourself". It sounds cliche at first but it's not so far-fetched because apart from having a near-death experience, believing in oneself was a reason why Bolin was able to learn lava-bending for instance. Tenzin also said that he didn't believe in the ability and therefore probably hasn't given it the same thought Zaheer has, that's a reason why Tenzin couldn't learn it. Let me know what you think, thanks for reading. Cheers!
irishboy9780 it sucks that Aang could never fly but maybe a really shitty avatar could fly
I don't think any avatar can because of that fact.
irishboy9780 I mean, Zaheer also got farther than any other airbender in combined spirituality, faith, and airbending. There’s a reason he was only the second person to ‘fly’.
Theoretically, yes. But that would take a very strange combination of extreme discipline and wisdom, combined with selfishness and immaturity.
Who's kuvira? OMG......... they notiched her
Atiq Khan they know, she gets her screen Time.
The fact that they noticed her will make the next season even better for them.
Atiq Khan they noticed her because someone spoiled her in the comments
@@_UPRC How so? She doesn't do anything this season. She doesnt become a better villain because she had minimal screentime in this season. It's more like, "Oh yeah, she was that soldier".
They noticed her because she just introduced herself and the screen panned in to emphasize her importance. How could they not have noticed her?
Lmao Mickey predicted false death so much time but missed Pei Li
“Death! That’s death.”
Kuvira: You can call me Kuvira
Rana: Who’s Kuvira?
Kuvira: uh, me!

Lets just say that Kuvira plays a role in Book 4 to say the least.

Where?
Caduceuz In Germany it didn't.😸
not in my country
Alexander Mercer Where got it taken off, in which country?
Our lava-boy Bolin though 33:20, slowly hyped up to get some well-deserved skillz! And Korra has grown so much from them last seasons! That unison screech at 10:58!

Micki does a pretty good job at missing stuff ;)
manimax3 right?! Dude was late to everything today lol
Lol dudes just not bright
Shoot my bad I mixed micki and nahid up
Yup
He did predict Kuvira for book 4 though.
“but now he’s like evil Superman” 🤣🤣
Lol yeah, P'Li is very much dead. Like most likely blown up into pieces. Honestly though, first time I saw that, it left me pretty shocked and even horrified, because I thought the Earth Queen's death was going to be the last time this season would shock me like that, but nope! This was just savage.
The Tonraq/Korra vs Zaheer was one of my favorite parts, especially the part where Korra rolled under Tonraq while he simultaneously jumped over her. They were just so in sync and I loved seeing that father-daughter dynamic in the fight.
Bolin lavabending was also one of my favorites as well! Especially if you pay close attention to his face in those moments before he lavabended as you can literally see his face going from desperation to acceptance within seconds! He knew death was immediate for all of them yet he accepted it and charged forward. A lot of us at the time were actually contemplating the possibility of Bolin being a lavabender. I mean, Ghazan was first introduced as being a lavabender, Bolin was having a really difficult time metalbending, and then the whole thing with his father of Earth Kingdom and his mother of Fire Nation descent, and you got something building up! Then this moment happened, and I knew Bolin was going to do it because he was literally thrown into a life or death situation.
So! Zaheer finally gave up his earthly tether, entered the void, was empty and became wind!
Also, notice how the way Zaheer is flying around is very similar to how the air bison would fly around.
Awesome editing, Suraj! :D
@Kingdrago101 It's nice that you think that. It leaves more brain cells for the rest of us.
@Kingdrago101 All right. I'll explain my side, then let's see if you can reply with your own explanation.
1. Bolin's mother being from the Fire Nation gives a basis for Bolin being able to lavabend, since we know bending is at least partially hereditary.
2. Bolin's inability to metalbend sets him up for some sort of breakthrough later in the season.
3. His interactions with Ghazan set up the later rivalry that came from them both being lavabenders.
Ghazan committed suicide because he refused to wallow in prison for the rest of his life. It was completely in-character for him to do so, unless you have evidence to the contrary. Thank you and good day.
@Kingdrago101 He's certainly not a master lavabender. In the video, he's displayed as only doing basic push moves to keep the lava away from him. He certainly never pulls the shit Ghazan does in order to escape the White Lotus.
"But they take stupid L's to Bolin and Mako" uh, you DID watch the show, didn't you? Mako and Bolin are some of the best pro benders in Republic City, as well as being quite clever. Mako beats Ming Hua not out of skill, but by being smart. In fact, he was quite clearly struggling against her even when she only had enough water for two tentacle things. He electrified the pool she was standing in and knocked her out. Bolin, on the other hand, was likely going to lose against Ghazan until Mako stepped in to help.
Ghazan couldn't beat both of them, so he decided to end himself and try to take them with him. I noticed you didn't even try to justify how Ghazan's death was an asspull, so I assume that's a non-issue.
Any questions?
Yuh
-Who's kuvira?
Foreshadowing
One of the things I love about Zaheer as a villain (besides his badassness and philisophy) is that he always chooses the correct battleground to compliment his powers.
- Earlier he tricks Korra into the spirit realm counting on his superior control of his earth bound body to reveal her location
- Spends the entire fight against Tenzen running away and gaining height so that he can both delay for his comrades and get cover from P'Li
- Fights Korra and Tonraq on top of a mountain where air benders are strongest - allowing him to go toe to toe with both at the same time
- Takes to the air to utilize his x-factor flight in the finale
Just a smart villain.
The best, you see why he's the leader of the Red Lotus
P'Li blew her own head off guys.
Avatar Yangchen said that the Avatar can't be detatched like other Airbenders. That's why Aang couldn't fly.
can't be *
Fixed.
couldn't fly in the same way Zaheer could. All benders are technically able to fly, just maybe not for long. Remember Azula and Ozai?
@@layabstar Waterbenders and especially Earthbenders cant....And those Firebenders were only flying like that during the comet.
@@jsmithers. katara has her own version of flying in the comics
Tonraq and Korra chained up vs Zaheer, the tag team combos gives me life
This was the first episode that I realized how fucking tall P’li is 😂
According to avatar wiki she’s 6’8”, which fun fact: is the height of the standard doorway (and it’s also the height of my pe teacher from middle school xD )
Well if she is the Same lineage of sparky sparky boom man it makes sense. He was a tall beast of a person
Zaheer "entering the void" is basically Airbending's version of the Avatar state. Remember how Aang was told that in order to go in and out of it at will that Guru told him to let go of Katara?
I know this is a REAL old comment but felt compelled to comment.
It's more closer to Buddhism and how to achieve enlightenment in their religion/philosophy. Airbenders ARE supposed to be based off of Tibetan Monks and Meditation + foregoing earthly attachments is how they believe to do that. So Airbenders are essentially just that.
@@Durbit428 interesting
Boom-bae's death was *Mindblowing*
☞゚∀゚)☞
Ragnar Lothbrok _ nice pun I love it!!!
She is captured.

If you think about it, there was alot of bravery shown in this episode. From Korra deciding to give herself up, to Bolin throwing himself in front of the lava, to Lin willingly giving herself up as a distraction in the P'Li fight, to Zaheer attempting to unlock flight when he falls off the cliff peak.
In a way, all of them entered their own voids. There was no more turning back after each decision.
Bruh if aang let go his earthly tethers/let go of katara and able to fly, he would be the last airbender like the last last
Nah bro, you dont need to be "tethered" to pump one out onto a few Air nomad groupies. 😉
Captain Marvelous You have a point😂
letting go your earthly tether is practically becoming celibate. earthly tether also means sex and love, not just people and material things. it means severing yourself with all things earthly
Lisa Leyendekker thanks for ruining the joke bro🙄
Uh he can’t. Cause he’s the Avatar. And his duty is to the world.
Being the avatar tethers him to the world

Those shine-in-the-dark crystals seem to be all over the Earth Kingdom, there were some in the Cave of Two Lovers, in Omashu and the caves underneath Ba Sing Se are filled with them. It seems like every underground place inside the Earth Kingdom we've ever seen has those crystals.

I don't understand why some people don't like LOK. It has amazing action scenes and villains
It actually makes sense that he can lavabend, seeing as how he has parents who are are from the make up of lava
The earth kingdom, and the fire nation.
I thought it was because the Bender's can change the temperatures of the elements, like how water benders can change the water to make ice or Steam, so the earthbender should be able to change rock into lava.
Lol, that's not how lava bending works.
@@Z3AL yea thats exactly how it works my whole point is its also a matter of genetics as well.
Like how anng and Katarra had three children one beacme an airbender because he had the potential to become an airbender, thanks to who his father was same with kaya.
@@Z3AL I think It works differently than Water bending otherwise most earth benders would be able to Lava bend and since they obviously can't then it has to be a rare skill most likely because of his parentage....OR it is exactly like Water bending but since lava heats up to a 1000°C, only the most skillful earth benders can do it. But I think I'm gonna go with the former, that his parentage has something to do with it since Bolin never actually had official training with a master.
@@darryljack6612 But it's not a matter of genetics. Having a parent who was a firebender and one that was an earthbender doesn't mean you'll have a child that can lavabend.
Didnt they all say that Zaheer was a weak and lame villain at the start of the season?
premature judgement. Happens to the best of us
Thane Kyrell yeah I always consider zaheer and amon were imo the best korra villains.
They were coming off season 2 final that left many answers

This isn't a proven theory but I'm just gonna bring up about what guru patik said to aang about letting go earthly attached. I know he meant about mastering the avatar state, but could he also be teaching aang how to unlock flight? Just a thought
I never thought of that! But it makes sense! Aang could not do it because since he is the avatar he is atached to the world. Also the villain did it after P'li died, but Aang still had Katara.
That makes sense but then why couldn't guru p himself not fly?.......or could he 🤔
@@BhlackBishop because he wasn't an air bender, wasn't any kind of bender in fact.

We have seen the Eastern Air Temple. That's where Guru Pathik lived and where Korra and Jinora entered the Spirit World.
I can confirm the 4th season aired on the nick website. Every Friday to be exact. I should know because every Friday morning, I’d wake up and turn on my computer to watch it before I had to get ready for my college freshman classes.

Lmao Nice of him to mention it.
Also part of me wonders if Bolin lavabending has any relation to his bicultural/biracial heritage... he had an Earth Kingdom Father and a Fire Nation mother (Earth + Fire = Lava).
no because you cna only have 1 bending at a time unless your the avatar

“Did P’Li just die...?”
Micky: “you know it was very unclear”
I loved when Bolin could lavabend. Makes sense seeing as he comes from a firebender. Would've been cool to see other mixing of bender children and the abilities that could happen.
Lavabending has nothing to do with firebending or a mix of bending parents
omg they are so dense sometimes, though it was a bit over the top this time. not just completely missing the fact P'li blew off her own head. but talking about how earthbending has multiple subsets, but then immediately getting confused that air bending has multiple sub bendings too (flying and astral projection)

"nah she's not dead."
just as i was about to crack open my beer , perfect timing ^^
For any new viewers wondering about some Sub-Class bending.
-Lava Bending -
We could either guess that...
(A)any Earth Bender could potentially bend it, its only restricted by the mentality of the bende. Bolins bending has always been loose, light, and flowy, then his mentality is similar and isnt rigid and tough like most Earth Benders, which is why he struggles with metal. or
(B) Its easier because he has Earth and FIRE heritage. He has the potential for Fire or Earth in him, but he was born with Earth Bending. The fire energy within allows more possibilities.
-Glass Bending-(Kiyoshi can do it. Glass is SUPER refined so possibly only someone like an Avatar can bend it)
-Spirit Bending-
Everyone can do it, Lion Turtle specifically said so and its older than elemental bending. Its just more difficult because its a lost art as well as the spiritual energy in the world was weaker. Examples and potential users who might not even know they are doing it
Guru Pathik- On top of extended life, he uses Spirit Bending to found Aang for Appa, Foresight, and Vision.
June- Super strong, outpowering a bodybuilder level guy without even trying.
Yuyan Archers- Most likely their training/physique strengthens their senses using their spiritual energy
Aiwei- Meditate into the spirit world
Unalaq- combined Spirit bending techniques into water bending
Water Healing- is putting in your own spiritual energy into water and stimulating another living being
etc...
this is definitely my favorite episode this season!! so many crazy twists and turns that was not expected at all... WOW
Did Suraj seriously just correct KORRA'S pronouncation of Ghazan?
Fun fact: combustion man also died in season 3 episode 12
Earth has always been my favorite element it's the most creative and versatile. The eastern temple we saw in the second season in "The Guide" episode.
At 8:27: you can see Tonraq's undershirt is likely sleeveless, but at 8:36: suddenly it has long sleeves.
how did u guys not realize that poli did die cos her explosion happened right when the metal wrapped her head lmao
Is it just me or does Zaheer's scalp looks like a red Robin's hamburger bun.
I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this, but Lin Beifong is voiced by Mindy Sterling, who some of you probably know better as Frau Farbissina, from the Austin Powers movies.
Anyway, I love the final moments that Korra has with her friends before she goes to turn herself over to the Red Lotus. Everything was so tense and dire, but when Korra and Asami shared that hug, it made Korra smile and hug Mako, who actually didn't shy away this time. Hell, even Bolin got in on the hugging action, because he's Bolin!
Also, almost nobody talks about it, but Korra's teamwork with her dad is insanely impeccable. Can you imagine how much better they would have fared if Korra wasn't chained up?! I'm not saying they would have won for sure, but they would have definitely stood a better chance. No matter how much I see it, I gotta give mad props to Bolin for discovering the power to bend lava, saving the lives of Mako, Asami, and Tenzin.
I really can't get over how human the villains in this season are! They don't act like typical 'evil for the sake of being evil' villains, they're motivated by a common cause and they have genuine respect for each other. Hell, even the brief romantic moment between Zaheer and P'li is surprisingly touching. Although, you guys kinda talked over the bit where they exposited how they met. Speaking of the evil lovebirds, it's pretty damn telling how much Zaheer truly loved P'li, if her existence in the world was the one thing that was keeping him from unlocking the power to fly.
Next week, comes the finale... T_T
Flight is the highest Airbender skill. Look at the air bisons flying.
It was implied that the AVATAR can't learn the ability to fly because to fly you need to detach from the world, but the Avatar is attached to the world.
Should’ve put the book 3 finale today too. Hate the week wait for y’all reactions
What. An. Episode!!! Honestly, it was so good and the next is just as nostalgic for Last Airbender. Plus, can't wait for you to react to live action Airbender in a few years!
I've said this before but it makes so much sense that Bolin can lavabend. He is the son of a fire bender and earth bender. If anyone's going be a lavabender over a metal bender it's him.
List of Subsets of each element
EARTH: Sandbend, Metalbend, Lavabend, Seismic sense, Truth detection
WATER: Bloodbend, Healing, (Water in ice and mist forms)
FIRE: Lightiningbend, Fire healing (we can see an old woman using this in Korra in the episode beginings part 1)
AIR: Astral Projection, Fly
It's a theory i have, i don't know if it's actually legit or not, so hear me out, about Bolin's Lavabending. the books that took place after the show had ended had some talk about cultural unity, specifically with family and offspring. if bending does get passed on, the children develop a type depending on the parents, like X and Y chromosomes. but one thing to note is the evolution of their bending. 2 firebending parents can have a child who is more likely to improve his bending to direct lightning, earthbending parents can have a child who develops metalbending. when you mix the two, the possibility is still there, but not always certain. since Bolin and Mako's parents were earth and firebenders, so even though Mako could learn to direct lightning, Bolin's development for metalbending was pretty much impossible. but due to bending miscegenation (which is the mixing of races, but in this case, the mixing of both races and possible bending), something like Lavabending was much more likely than metalbending, because of the firebending chromosome. this doesn't mean everyone in his case can do it, but it is possible.
Also there's, if you didn't realize, a reason as to why the Air Bison are the original Airbenders. humans who discover they can use Airbending are bound to the earth by their desires. money, power, etc. Air Bison, have no need for such things. they only stick to the ground when they essentially want or have to do something that doesn't require flight. when they have children, they stay on the ground to protect them till they learn how to fly as well. they don't essentially care about anything outside of who they're with, but even then as long as the people, like Aang and his friends, are able to travel in the air with him, there's no reason for him to stay on the ground, as the ones he cares about can travel with him and not get separated. even then, they can fly to locate them.
Nobody's gonna read this, dude. So, I'm just gonna summarize and say that it's because his parents were Fire Nation and Earth Nation.
@@dbzking02 I read it
dbzking02 meh.
Lavabending has nothing to do with fire nation lineage. A pure earthbender can bend lava because lava is just molten earth. Just think of this way: Waterbenders can turn water (liquid) into ice (solid). Earthbenders can turn earth (solid) into lava (liquid). They're just basically opposite. Ice is just water in solid form as Lava is earth in liquid form. Lava can create fire, but it ISN'T fire itself. The only thing a firebender could do with lava is just probably to extract the fire from it and the lava would basically just becomes solid earth again. A firebender cannot move the lava itself because lava is just earth.
thats not really how it works, lava bending isn't because one parent is a fire bender, there is no fire involved lava bending is because the bender can control the minute traces of earth in a cluster of ground, they can vibrate and isolate them until friction occurs and speed up said friction until it molts
as for the bison, they don't fly the way zaheer does. they fly the same way any airbender does, by bending the air around their gliders in the case of the bison it is their massive glider like tail
Zaheer still the most woke character on the show
Yeah.
More than ATLA's Iroh though?
Shitstirrer god no he’s woke But not quite that woke
@@crapstirrer yeah iroh fell asleep
Mickey definitely zoned out for this entire episode.
I remember how confused I was when halfway through this season my cable stopped recording the episodes. I then went online and found out that Nick took it off their channel for being too dark, and the episodes would only premiere on the website. Didn't understand why until when in the next episode, Zaheer suddenly just straight up murdered the Earth Queen. Good times.
Aang could never fly, cuz even if he didint have katara or anyone, his duty is to the world, so he could never trully live without an earthly tether, if he was just a regular air bender then yeah i think he'd be able to, but I feel like to reach a level of cold emotion like Zaheer, Aang would never reach that, hes too nice lol
I don't think you understand what "let go your earthly tether" means. It has nothing to do with having a cold emotion.
Not true. Remember one episode was all about letting go of his earthy tethers aka katara. If he had he probably would have been able to fly.
@@appledough3843 yes I do. I dont mean he has to be emotionless, im just saying that he must reach a mentality to where he no longer feels bound to something or someone else.
Zaheer's line "enter the void and become wind" is just epic. As P'Li dies, he truly becomes free from the world and unlocks the power of weightlessness. However, since he is now free of his earthly desires, his plan to brainwash Korra is rendered mute and, so he jumps from anarchest to extremist by choosing to end Korra's life and end the cycle of the avatar. Many people find his transition to be rushed/unnecessary but it fits with the idea that he had to let go of his ideologies due to his ascension.
Yup
No, Toph bent metal by bending the tiny bits of earth in the metal. Platinum is super-refined and unable to be bent. And the Eastern Air Temple is where Aang met Guru Pathik and where Korra & Jinora meditated to enter the Spirit world in Book 2.
The Eastern Air Temple is where Guru Pathik and Aang had their training. And in season two of Korra it is where she trained how to enter the spirit world.
Them: "Got no respect for a bunch of freedom fighters."
Me: ...they're fighting for freedom of the people not the rights to preserving ancient architect.
Also that whole bit where you started making fun of Zaheer because of how shocked he is when his girlfriend, the woman he legitimately loved, is dead? Even if they are the antagonist no one deserves that.
Hhmm...Who's Kuvira? I say Earth Nation...😀😂
@Purple Citrine no kingdom anymore...
*Earth Empire. All hail the Great Uniter!
If you think about it the first example we had of an air bender showing the ability to fly was Appa.
Our cuddly friend entered the void long ago.
20:22 Azula everyone
They are so dumb sometimes, but I still like to watch their reactions lol
"Hmm what you gonna do cry?"
Emm yeah his GF died he's evil not emotionless
Fr😂
28:30 The machinist also built the Drill. If you look closely in the episode of the Northern Air Temple, in the scene where the mechanist and Sokka are his "office" (if that's what you'd call it) and discover the way to find the gas leak, right when they switch to the scene of them two together, you can see him working on the early plans of the drill...
But I'm pretty sure you already knew that
