Have been looking for answers for 3 months and exactly the same problem. Thanks so much for your help

loved this video...great knowledge and explanations. very helpful! thank you
Great vid, quick, clear, and good visual demonstrations 👍🤘 only thing that would make this vid even better would be additional footage of the other issues mentioned besides the actual fault found, for supplementary guidance.
1A Auto instructionals are great! What about having bad shocks or struts or rear suspension though? Also possibly bad balance shafts?
Thank you for providing your train of thought during the diagnosis. Really helped.

Great video! I love your videos. They are Very well done and well explained. Thank you
Outstanding video!! Thank you!!
Ahh! Thanks! I finally have something to look into!! I ruled out the cv shafts, as I'm used to the joints getting noisy and eventually tugging the steering wheel.
When I got my 2010 mazda3, the engine was nearly falling out, all of the mounts were shot. I bet the axle pulled out and damaged or lost the clip. I'll be back with my findings!
EXCELLENT VIDEO, THANKS
She’s GOOD! Excellent description throughout!
+Windmill Last Thanks for the feedback!
@@1AAuto I have a 2012 and a 2013 ford edge and both vibrate on acceleration around 30 to 45 mph. not highway speed. Could this be the same thing? the 2013 vibrates the steering wheel the 2012 you can feel it but doesn't shake the wheel
That’s pretty damn scary looking.
Also I love watching you work Sue! Very knowledgeable and great at what you do.
VERY DETAILED WHICH HELPS ME NOT JUST THROW PARTS AT MY CAR AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. I CAN ACTUALLY REPLACE THE RIGHT PART AND BE DONE WITH IT.
What a pro, buy Sue a drink she more than earned it. 👏👏👏
I love the way she brakes everything down for us all she is the 1st person in woman to save my car I. I'm 31 I have had over 100 outta my life time it's a long story but thanks for this video

I come to see the video to make sure my 2013 explorer has a cv axle problem, nice video
Awesome video!!
Excellent, thank you.
Wow I’m glad I found this video, my car has the exact symptoms. The car still shakes like crazy even after I replaced all the bushing and mounts, when actually it’s just the damn axle clip that popped out.

Hi Sue. Is there a clip on the front passenger side axle. I replaced it but didn’t see a clip and now when I go over bumps I hear a popping noise and when I go on sharp turns. ‘03 Honda Element. I checked and it seems there about 3mm play between the transmission and axle. I pushed it back in but keeps coming out slightly. I feel a vibration when I go over 80. Thanks for the great videos. You make it seem so easy lol
Outstanding!
Good job
Think this is the same issue that's occurring in mine. Same year make model. Submodel is a Limited with the 2.4 when I hit about highway speeds I can feel a shake, vibration in the steering wheel and visibly see the passenger seat move. When I deaccelerate, coming to a stop I feel the vibration in the steering wheel as well. Thought it could be rotors since I had them replaced awhile back but after seeing this, I'm leaning towards CV joints. And I say that because when I do hard turns when reversing or turning, I can hear the click click sound...
With what you have found, what wld the ballpark price to fix be?
Great , and thanks
Thank you very much! Extremely helpful :)

Depends on how old the car is, or the last time you changed trans fluid. The torque converter will shutter and not lock up properly. You need to change trans fluid and maybe add a friction modifier to the trans and it will go away. I had checked everything she talked about here and couldn’t figure it out until a tech told me to change the trans fluid and it stopped. It felt like you were running over rumble strips.
Hi
I have got a similar problem..got any suggestion?
I had off-market cv axles put into my 2016 Subaru forester. I have had severe vibration and shaking just like in this video.
I had the same problem on my 2015 highlander, whenever I step on the acceleration pedal the front of the car shakes, when I left my foot off the acceleration pedal the vibration is gone. I definitely check the CV Axle on my car. Thx for sharing the video.

Got a vibration sound more of a humming noise near the driver foot area when lightly acclerating. The humming vibration is strongest with light accleration, less with higher speed of 40+. Of course the cold start are really strong. 220k miles Sienna 2009
Great vid
I replaced both the struts AND half-shafts on my 03' Grand Am GT;
But I have a metalic, grating, grinding noise coming from the
driver's side. I believe it's the strut-mount. It's possible I didn't
tighten that middle securing nut when I installed the spring
over the new strut.
Great video.

Been trying to find this issue on my car for a while, will be looking tomorrow snd fixing right away if that the case, thanks a lot.
Didn’t see any signs of failure but took a chance on the drivers side drive axel as I did recently hit a curb hard. Did not fix the vibration in the front end. Will be checking the wheel bearings in the morning but after that is passenger cv axle, so close.
Turns out it was the 2 front wheel bearings, car is finally running smooth, no vibrations.
wow forsure solved my problem can’t wait to get home, i kept researching and coming to my transaxle but it looked ok i never knew it could slip out like that, im 1000% sure this is my problem. i also seen a fluid that didn’t look like grease on the boot & was wondering where it came from since boot had no tear. once again thanks superwoman lol😂❤️

Pls, advise as I have a major problem with my reverse gear Ford Taurus 2011. After driving only, when I STOP and shift gear from drive mode to reverse, there is a big hammer clunk sound from inside maybe gear tooth or axle not sure, even mechanics are not sure due to zero error showing in gear computer. I have done gear formation but still, there is sound. Surprisingly there is no loud sound if I change gear after 4-5 secs from drive mode to reverse. Also on parking if I change from P to R or R to D there is no sound. Not sure is it becoz of AXLE and appreciate your feedback, thxxx
I really wish i could find you guys in dubai... love your videos 😍

I was thinking CV axle while you we’re driving the car early in video. I had one that stumped me for a month.
I have a 0.5 to 1.5 second vibration coming out of a stop and accelerating. My transmission was "rebuilt" a year ago, but I don't trust them. Any idea what it could be? It also vibrated from a stop sign where I gave it a bit to clear the intersection, and lost the usual engagement to the rear wheels (old BMW). Then it engaged suddenly and my rear wheels squealed. I need to find out what's doing this.
you reckon this is possible on a 2019 Accord? mine does the same vibration at highway speeds
Great mechanic, I've recently replaced shaft crafts and CV joints on my car, the only unsettling part is when I do a 90 degree turn that's when I hear this worrying sound like an old steal being bent.
I'm clueless with cars, it vould be nothing but dang its uncomfortable especially when one bought a used old model car.
I have a very similar problem on my nissan micra 2007. The car is shaking when the rpm is between 1000-1500.when the rpm is more or less than that it doesn't shake.what is the problem in your opinion and please explain me why it vibrates only at this range of rpm?
Thank you very much
That's a nice light! Where can I purchase that at?
you ma'am are awesome I work on cars a little but wish I could learn from you I am learning from the video too I got a 2012 4cyl buick lacrosse 66,000 miles had it 5 yrs haven't had any troubles but a camshaft sensor right now I can be driving and it will do a little jump when I slow down I really can't tell if somethings going on cause it has auto stop so when you slow way down almost to a stop it feels like the auto stop. could it be spark plugs since they haven't been changed wanna nip that in the bud before it turns into something big

Great bit of fault finding.Your name is Sue, how do you do ?
I will be diagnosing using these techniques on my car. Cause there’s a nasty vibration that just developed recently.
My pickup Chevy Colorado 2018 had a vibration at 50 + mph...well going thru every posible scenario....a body shop guy suggested me to do a check on the chassis...sure enough the truck had a bad wreck and chassis was out of whack just a bit but caused major vibration at high speed....cost me 200 dollars to correct the problem now i am loving and enjoying my truck👍❤
Have the same problem on Chevy Colorado how can I check on the chassis if it’s damaged
How can that problem was fixed the truck was also in a wreck before
I think my motor mount is broken! My steering wheel shakes when i get over 60 mph so i have to turn my steering wheel a certain way to prevent the noise… also when i brake on reaction my steering wheel shakes uncontrollably… is that the problem?
Got bmw 120d with steering wheel wobble. Had front wheels balance and bearing ok and coils good hard to lift the car myself coz bmw lift points lol. Can back wheels make your car wobble or front disks it’s at low speed
Very helpful 👍

Can you please help me with some issues Im having on my 2016 Jeep grand Cherokee?
Wow nice
What's normal play for where the inner axle connects to the transmission? Was the axle toast and that's why the whole thing was replaced and not just the clip?
That was helpful i have the same issue in my kia optima thanks for the video .
+Lone Wolf Thank you! We love empowering our customers and showing how to perform DIY auto repairs with our high-quality auto parts. 1AAuto.com
Ive got one now in a new kia proceed. Sent to dealer to diagnose.
What would happen if clip was in Transmission? I was sideswiped and had to have repairs--strut, wheel, body work on passenger side. Vehicle ran great for 6 months then the axle dislodged (I believe from transmission); they said it must have been knocked slightly loose by the accident and then missed by mechanics and insurance adjuster. Anyways, there has been a slight vibration on both pedals and floor board every since the made the axle repairs. Took it back later and they replaced tie rods and steering column, but it barely helped with the vibration...
OK Sue how'd you video that while driving? On a rack?
Sue...how about a vibration that you feel in gas pedal and seat and dashboard that is intense at cold start but lessens (but still annoying) after warmed up? Vibration is better after 2nd or 3rd start while running errands. Motor mounts already replaced.
Did u figure out what it was
I have a 2011 GMC Terrain 3.0 AWD. While in Park, I can press on the gas and the car noticeably vibrates at 1500-2000 rpm, then smooths out above 2000 rpm. Any guesses!
I have this very same issue with my 2020 Hyundai Kona fwd. I checked the wheel balance and axle bo issue. Couldn't find where the wobble is coming from and it's driving me nuts.
Thanks
