Think this is the same issue that's occurring in mine. Same year make model. Submodel is a Limited with the 2.4 when I hit about highway speeds I can feel a shake, vibration in the steering wheel and visibly see the passenger seat move. When I deaccelerate, coming to a stop I feel the vibration in the steering wheel as well. Thought it could be rotors since I had them replaced awhile back but after seeing this, I'm leaning towards CV joints. And I say that because when I do hard turns when reversing or turning, I can hear the click click sound...

Depends on how old the car is, or the last time you changed trans fluid. The torque converter will shutter and not lock up properly. You need to change trans fluid and maybe add a friction modifier to the trans and it will go away. I had checked everything she talked about here and couldn’t figure it out until a tech told me to change the trans fluid and it stopped. It felt like you were running over rumble strips.

After driving only, when I STOP and shift gear from drive mode to reverse, there is a big hammer clunk sound from inside maybe gear tooth or axle not sure, even mechanics are not sure due to zero error showing in gear computer. I have done gear formation but still, there is sound. Surprisingly there is no loud sound if I change gear after 4-5 secs from drive mode to reverse. Also on parking if I change from P to R or R to D there is no sound. Not sure is it becoz of AXLE and appreciate your feedback, thxxx

I have a 0.5 to 1.5 second vibration coming out of a stop and accelerating. My transmission was "rebuilt" a year ago, but I don't trust them. Any idea what it could be? It also vibrated from a stop sign where I gave it a bit to clear the intersection, and lost the usual engagement to the rear wheels (old BMW). Then it engaged suddenly and my rear wheels squealed. I need to find out what's doing this.

What would happen if clip was in Transmission? I was sideswiped and had to have repairs--strut, wheel, body work on passenger side. Vehicle ran great for 6 months then the axle dislodged (I believe from transmission); they said it must have been knocked slightly loose by the accident and then missed by mechanics and insurance adjuster. Anyways, there has been a slight vibration on both pedals and floor board every since the made the axle repairs. Took it back later and they replaced tie rods and steering column, but it barely helped with the vibration...

OK Sue how'd you video that while driving? On a rack?

Sue...how about a vibration that you feel in gas pedal and seat and dashboard that is intense at cold start but lessens (but still annoying) after warmed up? Vibration is better after 2nd or 3rd start while running errands. Motor mounts already replaced.

I have a 2011 GMC Terrain 3.0 AWD. While in Park, I can press on the gas and the car noticeably vibrates at 1500-2000 rpm, then smooths out above 2000 rpm. Any guesses!

I have this very same issue with my 2020 Hyundai Kona fwd. I checked the wheel balance and axle bo issue. Couldn't find where the wobble is coming from and it's driving me nuts.
