Follow along for a FULL manual lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) routine for lymphedema or swelling in BOTH legs. I describe the techniques and sequence I use as a certified lymphedema therapist to reduce leg swelling and also address fibrosis. Looking for lymphatic drainage massage for one leg? Just one leg from knee up to thigh. Not lower leg or feet. Advise please.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this informative video! I gave it a try last night, my legs felt more ‘alive’ and I could actually feel movement.
A few hours into my night time sleep, I woke up completely have soaked my pants and shirt in sweat. When I did a google search on side effects from lymphatic drainage massage, it said “You'll experience an increase in sweating and body odor, a sign that toxins are being eliminated.” Awesome! Thanks so much. ❤
Thank you ✨💎 Truly helped my big legs. I was actually told by someone I had a lymphatic drainage problem but I never payed attention to it. I finally realised something was wrong cause my "fat" kept going to the same places. Be careful of drinking a lot of water....it can turn against you. As soon as I started doing this, my legs started shrinking more. Because we tend to be an ignorant society, fat isn't always fat x
Pls tell me about your journey, i am having the same issue, kindly tell me for how long u did this for effective results??
1:32 It will take a few days to see your results. This is a life long journey, not a quick fix. If you discontinue this practice, your swelling will return. This video was much more thorough than the therapy I received. And much more effective.
How hard do you press?
Not very hard, too much pressure can worsen symptoms. @@lisamader5270

Thank you for this timely video. After my mom got out of the hospital from pneumonia, her legs were swelling badly. I used this video to give her daily massages while I was helping her recover. It was so interesting to see the improvement and feel the fluid move around. Just a couple of weeks later and her doctors are amazed that the swelling is completely gone!
That’s amazing!
Thank you for publishing this video. I am 73 and 6’4” & 300 lbs with below the knee amputee on right leg. This is exactly the therapy I got in South Florida. However I live in Mexico and can’t find a therapist. I can do everything but the lower leg & foot and I can get my wife to help me with that. Thanks again - David
Came across this video, thank you so much saw quick results. So easy to do when I wake up, before bed, and when I'm in bed watching tv. 😊❤
This worked like magic on my legs. Thank you! ♥️
Thank you for posting this. Very helpful. Not too many people offering this advice open source.
Thankful for your kindness!
I use this technique on my elderly clients, one of my friends is physical therapist..it helps them so much.. thank you for your support as well, I incorporate your techniques as well! love your channel 😊
Thank you for your thorough explanation video. I used it and really found relief with my groin and swollen foot and ankle. Hope to see more of your videos. Thanks again.
WOW! THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I LOVE THESE EXERCISES. GREAT STUFF A+
Thank you so much for these videos i watch everyday. God Bless you 🙏
Thanks for these simple exercise for the lymphatic system.
Thank you, I have not been diagnosed with cancer, thank goodness, and blessed be for all that have to go through that. 20 years I’ve been going to doctors here take this muscle relaxer, and every time I was told on like there is a tip of the finger lymph node there in my back. Oh that’s on related to the back pain., they never wanted to talk about those nodules I would find in my back 5 or 6 of them, but I have done 2 videos with you. The gut one & this one that includes some gut, but my calves were so sore. Two videos in one week and the last two that I had there this morning going I do not have any lymph nodes in my back for the first time, and I don’t know when - thank you so much for your time and caring
Oh, and the throbbing in my knee caps went away within a couple hours it seem
Thank you Kelly for this leg exercise. In just 2 days doing it, I can see the difference. I am from the Philippines. 😊
Last year I mentioned on another of your videos this tip my LMT gave to me. He recommended getting a paint roller with a soft brush cover to help reach the lower parts of the leg and feet I had trouble reaching because of bad knees and swelling from lymphedema making it hard/painful to bend at the knee.
Thanks
thank you for doing both legs with your explanation. it was great
Thank you very much Dr for the valuable information so I can share with those who needs it.
I cant thank this creator enough. Been having lipedema issues for a few weeks now and knew I needed to start doing something since it was interfering with exercise (which can ALSO help) and after doing this routine I went from having exessive buildup causing stiffness around my hips which prevented me from being able to squat properly- to being able to dip almost as deep as I used to be able. This is such a wonderful day, because I was distressed at the thought of having to pay a ton for physical therapy or massage to help me. Thank you SO MUCH
Thank you I’m learning so much from your videos. God bless you!
Thank you for your help and learning about my legs.🌺
Thank you so much!!! I am scheduled to be able to work with a p/t, but she is not available for months. This gives me a sense of control and hope! I just bought my first brush as well from your links :)!
THANK YOU! good video & explaining complete lymphatic function & massage
brilliant video, thank you!
This does work. Takes patience and effort. I like to elevate my feet while doing it and right afterwards, so that lymph can continue to drain after you get it moving.
Thank you so much for explaining this so people can understand . 💜🇦🇺
I’m happy to hear it is helpful 😊
Thank you so much! Just doing this for the first time with the video was soothing. My knee feels better. Looking forward to continuing this.
I am a Burn Survivor 6-1/2 years out. I have 60% of my body burned with damage going into the muscle tissue from below my knees up to and including my groin. My arms were burned to muscle under my arm pits and they had to rebuild my hands. I have also had skin grafts on my chest and pectorial area. My edema started about 18 months ago. I was prescribed water pills from my General Practice Dr. and he also suggested compression socks, with not mention of how and what the real problem was. Through my own curiosity and suggestion from my massage therapist, I determined that I most likely have lymphedema and started drainage exercises. I was on CZcams and your video was shown in my interests. The information that I found also explained the swelling that I have in my groin and under my armpits that I had just blown off as old age. I am 61 years old. Thank you for your information. I will follow up in a couple months and let you know how things are changing. My skin grafts are very thick and have little feeling. I am not sure how much pressure that it may require with the scaring. Thank you.
I still followed these exercises and will continue to. I retain no fluid as of now & seldom. But I feel it will do good for my circulation especially since I am old with many discepencies
Thank you a lot dear 🙏🏻 I really needed this after my lipedema surgery
Thanks Kelly for yet another well explained video. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for the support, Teresa!
Thank you so much for this information. It was very helpful I will try to do it every day. I have been suffering with swelling for six months now,and the doctors have no answers.
Thank you so much for sharing this information, it was very helpful.
Wow, this is great - thank you!
Thanks for this, Kelly.
You're an excellent teacher. God bless you. I sure wish you were in Vancouver, Wa. I'd bring my mother to you.
I enjoy doing this with you whenever I can, thank you
I was diagnosed with lymphedema about six months ago. Prior to that I'd never heard of it. This is a more in-depth massage than my therapist was doing. Then I had hip surgery at the end of January and the lymphedema treatments stopped. But my doctor ordered compression sleeves for my legs to help with that. I think this is something I can do in conjunction with the compression treatments so I don't have to go back to the binding bandages. Thank you for this.
After doing this once, I feel so much relief. The instructions and explanations are detailed & easy to follow.I’ve never had swollen, tight legs before. I have been so uncomfortable for two days and am extremely grateful… thank you! 💐
I’m 52. I have never in my life seen loose skin around my ankle. But this home lymph work is working so well my ankle skin is loose at times where there has been so much congestion. It’s crazy.
I’m gonna keep going. My knee (front & back) is the worst. It fills back up each day.
It’s also improving my CVI symptoms.
Thank you again for demonstrating like this.
Hello how're you doing?
CVI can now be cured or hugely improved if the underlying cause is treated by a qualified Phlebologist. This has nothing to do with the Lymphatic System and everything to do with Venous Insufficiency. You need Duplex Vein Mapping Scan to identify which veins need treating. I know because I have been through all of this and I have learned that very few people are aware that there is now a cure for Varicose Veins, but it is extremely hard to find the right specialist, especially in the US. I’m from England and had my treatment in London. Our NHS is unable to deliver such specialist treatment.
Thank you for your knowledge. I will start and know there is hope for me.
Thank you. I have lymphoedema. I have lupus and fibromyalgia and the swelling is so uncomfortable and painful I'm going to do this thank you
Thank you for all you do ❤😊
WOW!
EXCELLENT! MOST Valuable video on my issues with my " lymphede! Thank u. Instructors technique is soo easy to follow! Thank u!

Great video! Just had PAP FLAP reconstruction and my thighs are so swollen. I followed along with you from begining to end and I feel a total difference! Real time videos are always the best_ THANKS SO MUCH 💕
My surgeon suggested latissimus flap, worse surgery & never ending side effects. It should be outlawed.
I have been thinking about relax this part very helpful thank you so much I really appreciate it see you again
Thank you so much for spreading useful healing self care
Thank you so much. Exactly what I need. 👍👍👍

Thank you for your execellent explanation! I Greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for this .I am in extreme pain in my joints and this really helped..❤😊
Thank you sooo much,it helps right away
I been suffering alot of pain and swelling in my right leg. I been True alot of test and they can't find anything wrong. I didn't know the proper massage you are teaching here today but I been getting pain relived by massaging my leg will keeping it up. I will try your methods and I'm sure this will be help me alot. Thank alot
Both my legs have severe vericose veins and I have worn compression stocking for years. I recently had one knee then the other replaced 90 days later. Swelling in my legs has been extreme and I have been determined that my 2nd knee replacement from 10 days ago goes better than the first one. This video is WONDERFUL to help get backed up fluid out of my leg. I can feel the difference after 20 minutes of self massage done the right way. I actually had lymphoma 23 years ago in my neck and chest. I never realized you need to stimulate the entire lymphatic system for best results. Thank you. Anita
Having varicose veins leads to venous insufficiency and therefore will cause swelling. It is all very well working on the Lymphatic system, but if your veins are damaged no amount of massaging would help. You need the underlying cause of your varicose veins treated. Not many people are aware that varicose veins can now be cured or hugely improved, but of course would need to be paid for. I know because I have been through all of this and it had nothing to do with the Lymphatic System.
@@eveoakley6270 Several natural herbals reduce & normalise varicose veins - and acupuncture / acupressure can also be helpful - it is worth checking options - I healed and normalised a nasty 45+ year old enlarged vein on my inner calf which I had had since a teenager ( I remember always being aware of & it used to hurt on occasion ) never underestimate what natural medicine can do for you.
Please what was underlying issue and what did you do about it?
Loving this exercise can I do use a massager also
Thank you so much...I did exercise with you & going to continue...feel so great...
Thank you I’ve just by accident came across this. Just finished extreme physical therapy and now wear compression panty hose which are very hard to get on. This will help on my own care.
Thanks Kelly
Hello, this is Nathan and u do a great job on your videos dear. Keep up the good work 🤗 ❤
Thanks! I'm primarily home bound. The Dr wanted to send me to a PT. This exercise is just what I need to help my swelling. It's not that painful. Unlike the exercises my Dr. recommended. After doing these for a while, then I can move on to the ones my Dr. gave me. 😊
I’m so happy to hear the videos are helpful! Thank you so much!
Kelly thank you for your video, today (12.22.2022) my nose started running like a sive for the entire day. It's 9:30 pm and I just found your videos and tried the face lymphatic massage, and i was amazed at how fast it works, my nose stop dripping and I have experience some major relief.
Keep up the good work I will be watchig more of your videos for a full body lymphatic self massage.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge.
I've recently noticed my legs are swollen by the end of the day, so will definitely be doing your exercises. TY
Thanks for the upload!!
Thank you!! I have lipedema and this is very useful. Make sure to mention lipedema which may cause lymphedema as well. But only with lipedema legs will swell !! You will reach a higher audience as 10% of women suffer from this horrible tissue disorder. Thank you!!!
I have lymphedema and I don’t know what you mean because my legs swell too. So don’t let people think that they only swell with lipedema. Thank you,
Thanks again for a great vidéo simply explained 💞💞
Thank you. Very useful. Other videos concentrate on one leg. Good info on coping with with both legs.
Thank you Kelly 👏 🙌 👏 🙌
Thank you so much for your help. I really feel so much better and can feel the difference
Thank you so much! I had immediate results! My feet and ankles have been swollen for a couple months. I've been so embarrassed about my cankles! After doing this, actually, WHILE I was doing this I saw the swelling go down and completely vanish! Thank you so much!!! I'll make sure to drink a lot of water after this!!
Eat meat meat heals
you had a massage every day?
Thank you so much! I am traveling abroad and don't speak the language here. This was just what I needed in order to help myself while away from home. I'm grateful to you!
thank you so much for your videos they always help so much.
You’re so welcome!
Whew! I was told that I wasn't doing the stroking technique correctly some years ago when I was taught this and Dr Reed's technique is much faster and less fussy, too.
Thank you! This was a very good video. Very informative and easy to follow.
Thanks for a great video. It is very helpful
Your channel is so helpful! Thank-you ❤️
Oh I am so glad to hear that! Thank you for reaching out and being here 🙂
I started riding again.( horses!) Any fluctuating oedema went, was my left arm due to mastectomy. Perfect workout for entire lymphatic system, and great fun too.
Thank you for this video.. as someone who was healthy and then one day diagnosed with a rare blood disease called Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP)- I had to have plasma exchange, high dose prednisone and targeted chemotherapy. My body has been left swollen and with joint pain. These videos are so helpful and easy to follow ❤
I’m sorry you’ve had to go through all of this. But I’m happy you are finding the video helpful!

Hi 👋how are you doing?
My legs ankles and feet have been stolen with lymphendema for 30 years, the swelling has never gone down. They are tight and full of fluid all the time I ve done most of these remedies, without any change.
Perfect. Thank you.

Hi Kelly. This is a great video. I can relate on this video more than the other videos you got. Even the ones your topic is about knee surgery. This video is really helping me. My question is. If I had my left knee replacement. Do I still have to do my right side massages? And also, how often do I need to do it?
Love your videos ❤
everytime i travel for work my legs will swell, my hands will get so bad it hurts my fingers. this helped so much. i am a "healthy" individual as well
Great video. Thank you.
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! Even if one does one quarter of the regime!!! AMAZING.. I do this before getting of the bed : I am able to JUMP out!!!

You are doing such good work here :) When I am on other sites, & people seem confused, I refer them to you as much as possible. Many, many thanks!
Thank you for a clear and well demonstrated video
Very helpful, nicely explained.
Very impirtant thank you valuable information for those
Your videos are very user friendly. To regain and improve lymph health needs to be addressed with lifestyle and dietary changes that, in my personal and professional experience, are not addressed within the allopathic medical world. Organs of excretion, as well as endocrine need to have their functions understood and improved. The lymph system is integral to all others, and I have yet to meet one physician who explains this to patients. If anyone who reads this has found one 👍
Unless the removal of what is being dredged up by the lymph self massage is improved through our bowels, urine, breath it is impossible to find real healing, which in my experience had to be found outside the pharmaceutical, injection, surgery paradigm that allopathic medicine offers. It is extremely unfortunate that this is how things are.

Have you tried any of this gentle lymph drainage massage on your baby? Or, asked your pediatrician? Sadly, some just write prescriptions. I would search lymph drainage massage for babies.
