- Megan Fox was the “It Girl” of the second half of the 2000s. When she showed up as the love interest in Michael Bay’s Transformers, she quickly became one of the most desired women on the planet, but Hollywood didn’t quite seem sure what to do with her for the longest time. While Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a hit, she was famously written out of the third film. Her roles in movies like Jonah Hex fell flat, while her big star vehicle, Jennifer’s Body, was a flop - albeit one that’s been reappraised recently.
While a lot was made over the fact that she compared her Transformers director, Michael Bay, to Hitler, there seems to be no love lost between the two, with him casting her in his two big-budget Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies as April O’Neil. They failed to launch an enduring franchise, and now Fox is mainly known for the notoriety of her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly. But, and here’s the kicker - while her low-budget movies haven’t been particularly well-received, her acting in them has often been quite good, surprising critics that otherwise pan the movies. With a prominent role opposite Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham in The Expendables 4 (aka Expend4bles), could a legit comeback be on the horizon? I loved Megan in Jennifer’s Body and during her relationship with Brian Austin Green, they seemed like they were really happy together…..until Megan and MGK started dating and now I can’t stand to hear about them. I swear every time mgk and Megan are in the news, i just don’t understand what they see in each other and if Megan is with him because she’s going through some mid life crisis then idk.

What a shame that Megan Fox didn't continue til the 3rd Transformers movie, Dark of the Moon, 2011. You could see that her acting in Revenge of the Fallen (2009) has improved and the relationship between Micaela and Sam was definitely better in the second movie than in the first one (if everything else of the story failed). I wonder how much of her career would've changed, if anything?
The answer to her blunders is her Mouth & character behind the scenes.

I actually DID see Jonah Hex, but some time after it came out on disc. I don't really remember much, except for the obvious; scarred faced main character, and western theme. That's about it, TBH.
I tried so many times to watch it through... I just couldn't. Even with Megan Fox there, it was just boring beyond comprehension...
I like it but mainly because I'm a fan of the character and its comics but even I have to admit that that movie was a train wreck.

Megan Fox is the latest iteration of Bo Derek. Extremely good-looking, can't act, and has an attitude of entitlement, because so much came to here because of being so beautiful. Meanwhile, Meryl Streep is considered one of the best film actresses ever, and people do their best to find new ways to describe her: exotic, interesting looking. Anything but plain looking. All she has is talent and ambition and a tremendous work ethic. Oops, almost forgot to include Gal Gadot. A model who has no acting ability.

That movie is criminally underrated. You do need to suspend disbelief for a moment to accept her role as the lead of a group of tough mercenaries accepting dangerous jobs in Africa, though. But once you get past that, it is a surprisingly very good movie!! And one where she actually had to show acting chops as she didn't have to show skin not even once, believe or not...

Jennifer’s Body is actually a great movie, and Fox is good in it. Sure most of what she worked on is crap, but that one holds up. No one is good in the Transformers or TMNT movies, because they are just not good movies. I’d say she did what was required of the role.
