It wasn’t a burden to her lol. Girl had like $100k worth of surgery and procedures done by the time she did Jennifer’s Body. She didn’t make such a substantial investment on something that would hurt her career. She has great business instincts.
In fact, her looks are what saved her. A lot of the hate toward her was because of her being typecast as the mean, popular girl, with few other types of roles on her resume.
Other actors who have been bullied for the same reason have left acting entirely, left the spotlight to switch to theater, and, in some cases, literally unalived themselves.
Megan’s looks helped shield her from her how bad it could have been, helped balance the criticisms out, and helped her career withstand them.
Which is not to say her career wasn’t impacted at all by it, and certainly her mental health was - but she still ultimately fared better than 99% of actors who go through similar.
She is also got a goofy personality😂

I clearly remember seeing her for the first time in the first transformers movie when I was in middle school and when I tell you I was STUNNED. But not only by her looks... that obviously influenced me too but the thing that I loved (and still love) about her is the way she carries herself, her charm and just her overall aurea is so enticing and attractive to me. As (at the time) a 12 year old girl I distinctively remember thinking “damn, she is so cool, I really wanna be like her” but not really in the sense of “I wanna have her body and her looks” but more as a “I aspire to be this charming and cool when I grow up” kinda thing.
This women never fails to amaze me. Keep your head up sweetie, we love you. And it’s true that Hollywood failed her so hard, but to me she will always remain the icon and the role model that I saw when I was 12😊

Jennifer’s Body is an overall underrated movie. They hyper-sexualized the trailer and targeted the wrong audience. It’s one of my all time favorites because so many girls had a best friend like Jennifer and it was such a metaphorical masterpiece.

Masterpiece? Uh no. It seems like you don’t want that many movies. While I did enjoy watching Jennifer’s Body you can’t compare it to La La Land or Get Out. Films of higher quality and caliber or The Shining.
Not to say that I don’t like Megan Fox or anything like that. I also enjoyed her on Confessions opposite Lindsay Lohan... what Megan really needs it’s to re-invent herself. She needs to desperately break out of the “hot chick” and dedicate herself to higher quality material. Break out of the mold she’s been in for so long.
For example both Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie are doing really good and both are super smoking and are choosing really good projects to work in and aren’t afraid to break out of the hotness they live in.

This woman is articulate, talented and yet sooo underserved by the movie industry. I’d love to see her in a dramatic roll where she would be the female lead and get the respect she deserves. Yes, she is beautiful - but she has so much depth of character and she’s a spiritual person, too. I admire her.
She is outspoken, she talked about with what happened in Transformers, but on the one hand, she admits that she made a mistake, but on the other hand, this happened and now she logically says there is no point in being sad, offended and regretful anymore. later it seems like she solved the problem with Michael Bay because in Ninja Turtles are with him again she worked together. Also, she doesn't seem to have a problem with the Transformers movies now because she still loves them and talks about them.

Looking back it's really terrible how she was treated by the media and public. I was very young when she was doing Transformers promotion but I remember her constantly being objectified, people (mostly men) would only ever talk about her looks in a demeaning way. NO ONE sees themselves the way others see them. And like she said, she didn't grow up being told she was beautiful constantly, that didn't happen until she got big in Hollywood. But also, it's one thing to develop into a young woman and begin to feel attractive. It's another to be heralded as the MOST beautiful women ever, and only be recognized for your sex appeal. It's very sad, surreal, and alienating. I don't think even confident people with no insecurities (which doesn't describe Megan) could accept themselves as THE number one sex symbol of a decade.
