Just because this is playing in America doesn't mean, that this is Final Destination. No. Now Spoiler alert! This would be my solution: Let Light kill the bully BEFORE Ryuk comes. The next day he goes to school - where he doesn't read the DN in public - and Mia tells him that it's good that the guy died, nobody will really miss him. At home he kills the murderer of his mother. Then Ryuk shows up, Light freaks out, but calms down after some time. After Ryuk told him, why he dropped the book and that he can relinquish ownership, Light asks Ryuk, if the DN can fall into the hands of a person like the murderer of his mother. Ryuk answers with yes and Light says he wants to keep the book. Then we have the plot like in the anime: Light kills a lot of criminals and afterwards Lind L. Taylor shows up. Light gets upset and kills him. After Taylors death the real L tells Light that he tricked him. When Ls monologue is finished, Light wants to know, how far L and the police really are and finds out, that L and the police suspects a student to be the criminal. He get's the idea to change the times of the murders and so on. While Light and L are fighting, Mia gets attacked and thinks she will die, until her killer dies of a heart attack. Now Rem enters the stage and Mia gets her Death Note. She makes the deal with the eyes and searches for Kira because she should have the same backstory as Misa Amane. She finds him with her eyes, after he got rid of the FBI agents, only Raye Penbar is left. Another Difference from the anime: "Raye Penbar" is also a false name, but Mia kills him, so every agent is dead. Like in the anime, L suspects the two families and cameras are set up, Light uses Ryuk to find away around, we have the chips scene and so on. Now we have a good Death Note movie.

だって弥助なんてほとんど記録が残ってないくらい重要性がない人物なんだもん そいつをモデルに話なんて作れるわけないじゃん。仮に無理やり作ったとして、ほとんどがでっちあげのファンタジーになり下がるんだから。 そもそも弥助は侍じゃなかったし、滞在してたのは１年くらいなんだからその間に侍と渡り合えるだけの戦闘スキルを身に着けるなんて無理に決まってるじゃん 弥助は按針みたいに重要な人物じゃなかったから、常に通訳が付き添って重役と会話するみたいなシーンも無理だろう これだったら最初からアフロ侍みたいな完全な創作の方が制約がない分マシなストーリーが作れたんじゃないか？
