Thank you for this helpful video. I'm thinking of ordering some of these to help with the noise of the torrential rain we're having these days. Do you find these helped to reduce the noise of rainfall on the windows at all?
Hi there, does the adjustable mechanism slip around while using ? I read a review on Amazon that said it doesn’t lock in place . It looks pretty good.
Thank you for this video. The instructions provide by Velux were terrible. Your instructions were perfectly clear. The downside is that the awning itself doesn't provide that much cover
Thanks! I bought one of these strimmers from a charity shop and had no idea how to keep the wire secure 😊
Wish there were a real connector for this.
Thank you very much 👍🏼
Great hack, just what I needed, thanks!!
Great vid. I just want a basic cheap power takeoff to use with chop saw. Might be no good if it takes a while to kick in though…?
Get some nylon spool it round the vac tube put some superglue on it to hold it and stop it unwinding etc and job done no need for masking tape
I wonder why you trowel it on when Knauf SPECIFICALLY say roller it on???
Thanks im looking into getting these. But my window is quite long and it won't stay in a fixed position so i don't think i could install the hooks from the inside.
Hi Wayne I saw your video about the vaccum hose my question to you is if I use my pool vaccum hose as a poor mans shop vac hose will it be fine for dust metal shavings etc as well as for liquids ? thoughts please thank you!
Waste of money! I bought three of these BM2 Battery Voltage Monitors so that I can check on my batteries of my stored/parked vehicles as well as my daily driver in my garage and driveway and I wanted to be able to check them while sitting in my home. The range is about 12 feet as I have to be at my front door to get a signal. This is typical of Bluetooth devices where they state 10 meters or 33 feet but in unobstructed view, but not under a hood shrouded in metal. If I need to be that close to a vehicle, I might as well pop the hood and take a DMM meter to the battery.
For anyone facing the same issue: Try a different charger cable/adapter combination. It worked for me. I had this problem. Both the LEDs were on, the 3.7 V battery was just being charged to 3.56V, and was discharging very quickly as well. I changed the charger and cord and now the same module, same battery is working fine and charging to max as well.

No

Ignore it. Seems to work
Hi will this cut off after a certain temperature has been reached?
Yes
Hi Wayne - would you consider making and selling me one of these please, if I gave you the dimensions please?
B@Q will cut the front sheet to size or a local timber supplier. Just need the wood batton which can be bought off the shelf to make the edges. Glue with wood glue of superglue. Another option is to make one from cardboard
nice review, do we need to have a bag in for the wet function?
No. Remove bag and fit the supplied sponge. Stops some water or debris going through motor
@@waynehendry9782 thank you so much
good review thanks, how much does it cost to run per hour
Online calculator came out at 10p an hour. That's if its running all the time which it won't as it only tops up the cooling plates when it needs to. We run for 4 Ish hours a day at the moment in the evening. It's such a small amount I don't even think I'll notice on the monthly bill. All part of winter running costs I guess for a better standard of living. I've got another 10lt dehumidifier coming for upstairs loft conversion. I'll be running the two and will put up another review on that one for interest.

from my experience it fells like there should be rubber seal between the lid and the bucket . The lid clips on a side are a bit loose. If you add rubber seal ( f.e. the ones for door/window drafts) the seal between the lid and bucket will be tighter and the clips will be tight as well
Hi Wayne very helpful video, thank you Starter was slow and was making a slow scratchy noise Then just a loud click and no other noises And now no noise at all guessing I’m doing this myself
Would it be any good for heating the kitchen until I get a fire going?
definitely!!
How did you secure the cradle as I've got the same size stereo to put in but it just sat there lost in the space the old one took up 🤔
Stereo has a bolt hole at the back in the cente. You can get a leg bracket in some kits that can lock on a metal support in some cars as you slide stereo in. I think I used a L bracket with a block of wood to support the stereo rear. This is a bit trial and error getting the correct size for support. I've also used strong string in the past, fixed at the back of stereo to the rear bolt and run sting up over something behind dash, then when pulling string it lifts the rear of stereo to get it in. Just cut off strings when it's in. You can also fix some wood or plastic packers to the rear of opening to support rear of the stereo. Whatever works to support the stereo rear. The cage has wings you puch out that hold it in
Have a like👍👍[PC2017]
Hey! I just did a video over this as well! HAHAHAHA Pretty nice for the price!
Why didn’t you just buy a plastic replacement
Which bit? The dashboard centre console? If you are referring to that bit then it was not worth it on an old works van. Well for me anyway.

Is this a good permanent solution? Unfortunately we are losing our cat soon and my kids need visual reminders of our cat removed when he's gone. Im struggling to find something online to block it.
Yes I guess. Could add blu tack or small blob of silicone to hold it on. Or get the entire panel replaced. Used to be around £50 to buy one a few years back for DIY. You can trim to size. Or get one fitted but will cost more.
Hello my friend,Do you recommend that razor?
For a cheap razor yeah. I like it on number 1 for a mild shave. It's good if you are new to DE razors.
Thank you very much Wayne for this generous gift of your time and expertise. The Velux picture instructions were incomprehensible, while yours gave much more of an idea of what to do. My morning has been 2 hours trying to understand, then 20 minutes to actually fit. Very helpful to tell us to remove and throw away those mystery wooden blocks.
Hi can this be used rather then getting a plasterer in?
Yes
Hi Wayne, is there a way to increase the volume when receiving a telephone call???? As its too low as standard...
Bluetooth volume on the phone should be up high. Then turn the stereo down. Have you tried that?
Tell me WHY LOCATION needs to be turned ON for a more accurate reading. What BS! I always have my LOCATION turned off on my mobile phone. None of their effing business what my location is.

Ha. I never put much effort into masking the video. Glad it worked for you though. Strimmer works well now with the 1.5mm wire

Yes. Bags can be bigger without any problem
@@waynehendry9782 thank you my friend.
When using giraffe sander over skimmed walls (using something like knauf proroll or similar) or taped and filled drywall, for more extended periods of time (say 2-3 hours) - you don't find the extractor overheats and/or the bag gets clogged and you lose suction? By the way - sad to see PPS disappear, a huge amount of useful data up in smoke.
Hi. I don't use it for that long, but if I did I'd get a relief valve to let air in the vac pipe, this will keep air flow through the machine to help cool. Re pps. Yeah. Find the old gang on new forum if you haven't already. 😁
Hi, Would you say it's noisy when running?
No. Very quiet.
It connects to the ignition relay and is the switched electronics feed to the BCM. Having looked at the diagrams it is pretty much the only choice for a switched live. I looked at the power roof as I don’t have one but that isn’t switched as it relies on the power saver to disconnect it. Using this wire would be an issue on a head unit that actually draws power through the switched live but otherwise fine. It is fused by a 20A fuse (F41) in the engine fuse box which if blown or disconnected causes the immobiliser to arm so bear this in mind again if you have a switched live that draws power on your head unit.
Thanks for this. The only trade I've ever paid for is plastering, hopefully no longer once I've had a try of this and got that Eze spat or a speedskim.
The wire should be at b+ b- NOT at out- out+.
You got a link to the iso adapter
Just look up stereo Iso adapter for ford transit or whatever your car/ van is. Iso is the standard one end of the cable then your vehicle will be specific connector type plugs
how come you have the wet filter on ?
It's a sponge so i leave on just incase something gets past bag and then sucked in the motor causing damage. Sponge may prevent that. On or off It makes no difference to the suction.
@@waynehendry9782 regardless isnt the white filter for dust etc im just wondering as ive missused mine so many times now
@@oimpaa It's the dust getting in motor that kills It. Bags really need to be HEPA rated. Have a look at mirka vacs for drywall dust and other brands
@@waynehendry9782 so you reccomend to use over branded bags and not to go to screw fix and buy bulk cheapos
