Well produced and shot but the actual storyline is infantile. There’s no perceived benefit for the government to do this scheme apart from organ harvesting but that only comes after the first couple of operations anyway. Plus the whole premise of inmates being human beings who deserve human rights shouldn’t be groundbreaking. I think this movie just coasts on the shock factor of torture and the shot of him holding up his arm with no hand as a “watch out kids” moment just felt like visually stigmatising disabilities - like his amputations should be some kind of visual jump scare? Honestly I feel dumber for having watched this.
