Baron certainly reaps the benefits of the fertile comedy ground that is the film’s premise and there are some excellent belly-laugh-inducing lines, one of my favourites being, “Three is a pattern, five is a racial fetish”. Even getting the baby to cry on cue like that at the end? She's a star in the making as well!! The writing was brilliant, the acting, cinematography, everything. Spot on!! 🤣🤣👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
EDIT: Some more things I just HAVE to point out. The sound cues and timing was excellent, the way the shots progress the story instead of everything being explained outright, (the transitions between scenes) the way James was introduced at the end with the expectation subversion. The interpretation of the ending being open to anyone's subjective view. I think the review in the description said it best, "our extraordinary ability to sabotage the happiest parts of our lives..." Did I mention this had excellent writing? The acting was superb as well. I can't applaud this short enough. This will live on as one of my favorites.

How many times are we going to see Amit Shah get type cast as the awkward lover boy desperate for validation….
Women and men liking a particular ethnicity (or someone from another culture) is a real phenomenon. I think it was a nice concept, but creating such a childishly behaving character (him) rather than asking about it maturely and then accepting if she had such a preference led to a downvote from me.
But the whole entire point of the short was that the character didn't handle it perfectly...
You're watching a comedy short. Not real life. You're the exact critic I hate reading, you make everything about real life and your own opinions. Comedies don't care about your opinions. It's a work of fiction, that's tackled quite a nuanced thing.
