i am italian from tuscany. This means that my ancestors were Romans and Etruscans. Which means that 800 years before Ragnar, while the Vikings lived in the huts, we built aqueducts, cities and conquered the whole of Europe. Love the footage!! My first Norwegian relatives to land over in the states did this type of harvesting, and my greatx3 aunt left a typewritten account of her life with these folks as they were her parents. She talked about how all the kids struggled to tie up the bales efficiently, while Ole Blessum (dad straight outta Norway) did it with such ease he could keep up with the new mechanical harvesters. I always had to visualize the process before seeing this!
