'Jara', 'Jeran' in Continental Germanic, means 'Year'.
This song is about this Rune symbol, Jeran; the cycle of the Sun through the year, focusing on the Summer solstice and happy, fruitful harvest period which follows it.

Just to reply on your first comment: yes I was thinking of our own ancestors who in the not so distant past lived much closer to nature, and who often spent their entire lives working very hard! Jara, along with Solringen and Dagr, is one of my three favourite Wardruna songs. Saw them live in London last year and they were fantastic. Love the red Jara rune superimposed over the top of the imagery here. Superbly done Yannick20 :)

Love the footage!! My first Norwegian relatives to land over in the states did this type of harvesting, and my greatx3 aunt left a typewritten account of her life with these folks as they were her parents. She talked about how all the kids struggled to tie up the bales efficiently, while Ole Blessum (dad straight outta Norway) did it with such ease he could keep up with the new mechanical harvesters. I always had to visualize the process before seeing this!
