Really nice video! Footage fitting the song really well.. also, small detail, but should note it's not Old Norse lyrics, but Norwegian. Just so people don't get the wrong impression :) Again; awesome work!

sometimes I think I am singing in Danish only to find out later that it is swedish. So thanks for that. How do you differentiate Old Norse from Icelandic when you only have Lyrics on a screen to go by?

I know of no accounts like this from history. Would they really sacrifice a young strong able-bodied warrior of our own when they had all those thralls?

Allegedly, I think it was Adam of Bremen but I could be mistaken, anyway, one of the Christian missionaries who visited Scandinavia said that every nine years nine of all species were sacrificed, including nine men.
It's possible he was exaggerating or simply didn't understand exactly what he was told since I don't think he attended the sacrifices himself but then again, these were the people who performed blood eagles, raided everything and everyone they could find and who would mock one of their fellow raiders for sparing the children. (this is an account about a raider who was called what would translate roughly as "the children's-man" since he wouldn't kill children in his raids.)
This was considered enough of an anomaly that they felt the need to make a nickname out of it so you know...
People back then hardly had the same standards of squeamishness as we do today.
I the end we can't know for sure one way or the other but I would say it's a safer bet, human sacrifices were not uncommon, neither in Europe nor elsewhere for much of history.
The Scandinavians were isolated from many of the developments of mainland Europe for a long time so it's possible they continued practices that had fallen out of favor in mainland Europe through the influence of the Romans.

@@le-chevalier-renaud Not Romans, but influence of Christians is how human sacrifice fell out of favor.
Every other vice you can think of would go on, though. Better for these Whites to stop worshipping demons and practising black magic, if fucking their friends and neighbours can't be helped.
