Shaving Cream

There are studies that show baby shampoo damage coral reef systems. I'm no expert myself and can't attest to their validity, but a reef safe defogger like "stream to sea" is pretty cheap and doesn't irritate your eyes. I personally own a Seadive mask with a hydrophobic coating, you do not use abrasives like toothpaste on it or it will destroy the coating, but I never need defogger with it. The coating will eventually wear off after a few hundred dives but, if you are replacing your mask every few years anyway, this is the way to go.
