  • I've used DiveR Australia fins in over 20 different countries for spearfishing and they have never let me down. Thanks to Ray Powell and DiveR for supporting me over the past decade. I use the innegra carbons in soft.

    Agree 100%. I've hammered my DiveR innegras in spearfishing comps, and they have stood up to all the punishment I've thrown at them. I also have arthritic knees and was getting sore knees with carbon fins after 2 hours of diving. I don't get any soreness in my knees anymore when diving ever since I got the innegras. I recommend them to anyone who freedives and spearfishes.

    I had a shallow water black out when my diveR inegras (first time using them) snapped on the bottom in 22m. Manufacturer blamed me for pushing off the bottom which is wild considering how flexible they claim they are! I didn’t do much research on fins and I don’t know much about them. I just bought my first carbon composite fins. I was told they are harder to break and I was advised to stay away from pure carbon fiber fins. Not for their performance reasons but their tendency to snap when scratched I believe. Anyway, like you said I’ll have the biggest upgrade of my spearfishing experience by upgrading from plastic fins.

    Honestly ive been a little disappointed with my inegras. Mine have a stress mark roughly where some people drill (no drilling on mine). No one can tell me if its safe or not and theyre "out of warranty". I originally thought I was being pedantic when i first noticed the stress mark forming but its continued to develop and is quite pronounced now. I think it's related to the layering of the fiber (ie where they have reduced the number of layers for progressiveness) but im not able to really tell. Im not convinced I'd go DiveR again

    I think it should be clear to all that there are many good carbon blade brands out there, that don’t’ break any more than DiveR’s. Fins are like masks. One company’s blades won’t necessarily be a right fit for another. Especially since there’s no standard in fin stiffness across brands. DiveR’s do make some pretty blades though.

    • @finnbismark
      @finnbismark Před 3 měsíci

      See if you can do a pool training session where you can try other peoples fins.
      The difference is huge between carbons and plastic fins if you dive often, or deep or do a lot of surface swimming they are well with the upgrade.
      I currently run a pair of soft diveR carbon fins and they are awesome (height 185cm weight 85kg).
      You can get even more of a benefit out of carbon fins if you change your kicking stroke to keep you knees a bit straighter than with plastics and do a much smaller flutter kick rather than the longer slower kicks that work better with plastic.
      Wayne Judge has done some excellent videos talking about the difference in performance and the best fining technique.

      @Lammedreng free products are not the same as paid promotion. I never promote anything I don’t use and believe in myself. I’ve had hundreds of offers over the years from many different brands and products. I chose to use DiveR fins and Polosub wetsuits which is obvious because they’ve been consistent since the start of my channel. My personal finances aren’t the concern of anyone but me.

    The fins are undoubtedly good, but the prices are insane. I mean, 750€ for a pair.... wow.

      I guess a big market is in Australia where you could buy them for the equivalent of about €440. Import tax into the EU is huge.

      Wettie has the DiveR Ineegra for $440 and they install the foot pockets which range $80 to $110. Ships to the USA for $50. I am assuming shipping is probably the same world wide. I started off with plastics many years ago and upgraded to carbon fiber. In a short while after doing rocky rock/reef entries I started to become worried that these might break because they show signs of stress. I am pretty easy on my gear, but these dive conditions are rough. I dive in California and in Costa Ricq. I am always worried about breaking these fins and being stranded with a current in some of these areas. Your on your own if something happens or you become a burden to your dive companions. I am also worried about international travel. I don’t know what it is about going to Costa Rica, but my bags get destroyed and this worries me with my fins. I just bought a pair of these Innegras and Daniel Mann was a huge influence on this purchase. As some other have said purchase once or purchase twice. Thank you!
