Good effort and total desperation trying to spear a scorpion fish . This sea looks lifeless but the movie in interesting enough to capture the attention .

I am from croatia, and it is even harder to fish here. I swear I have seen dentex that would get better grades in school than me, they are that smart and cautious. Luckily I have seen some population increase in those areas, a few years ago finding dentex and dusky grouper was like searching for veins of gold, nearly impossible to get some but now it seems like the situation is getting better

Im a new spearo and I am wondering if you can do a vid on currents, what to watch out for and the causes, such as topography, it’s the main thing that worries me going out too far and I am finding little info on it. At the moment I don’t go out of bays but would like some more things to help me notice if it’s safe or not.

It’s a difficult subject as it changes so much in all the different places of the world. You can see tidal flow on the navionics app in some places.

I think it can be more painful that a lion fish. Similar effect. Very painful. Especially when you are struck when it is living

Hey brother, love your videos, but I wonder why won’t you do some color correction ?
Being a diver myself I know that in reality the colors underwater are pretty much the same to what’s seen in your videos, but I think it’s more esthetically appealing when you add some heat and tint in post production, what is your take on that ?
Only so much you can push a GoPro/Osmo camera underwater with colour correction. I’ve done plenty of underwater stuff which is like you mention with larger camera setups. Also, all the shots are graded underwater to my liking, I guess it’s personal preference. I don’t like it looking too fake from what you’re seeing in reality.

Im surprised that for this kind of fish on the thole you sont have à MATC Trident I spear fish à lot on normandy on Shipwreck Abd wé usé it à lot to prevent spear to tangle on the rocks 😊 but you cant shoot that far with it I guess this Is why you sont usé it !
For loup de mer for sure it can work but probably not ideal for big groupers. Also sometimes you are fishing out of the holes in the same dive for snappers or sea breams.

Hey Dan im going to greece in July from the Uk and i wanna take my gear with me im flying with Tui and they just said im not allowed to take it as sports equipment do you have any recommendations and have you ever flight with Tui with your gear?
I've never flown with Tui but it doesn't say that spearguns are excluded on their checked baggage. www.tui.co.uk/destinations/info/luggage-guidelines
I'd just pack the sportube and if they ask it's fishing equipment. Never mention the word speargun or gun in an airport! "Underwater fishing equipment" at best.
Did you have ever had any problem flying with diving knifes? I have to the hook for ropes and the normal one its my first time flying with Spearfishing equipment so im a bit lost here 😂
@@danilofilipe8894 never with a knife but keep it in a sheath and it obviously has to go in the checked baggage.

These videos never fail to lighten up my day! You've inspired me to start spearfishing this summer, and I was wondering how deep you would have to dive to find dentex, amberjack and grouper in Zakynthos? (I know its probably not the best place to get started)
Hi Oscar, I shot a nice amberjack around 6kg in zakynthos diving just under the surface. I have a video on it. But if you can dive 10m and look in holes you will surely find some fish.
