Awesome! I'm inspired!!
@TheMysticalFruit wanted to tag you because you always encourage my artwork.
I really enjoyed this! Thank you. What a great way to learn - very inspiring.
Thank you so much. I'm delighted you enjoyed the video 😊
Looks like good quality smooth paper. What sketchbook manufacture are you using please?
It is a Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook, and the paper is really smooth. I really like this brand because it handles watercolour really well. You can also do mixed media well on this paper. See this :) czcams.com/video/0mEZn0cEMPs/video.html
Best off, but not a beginners sketchbook... I love it!
Thank you so much :)
Exquisite!!! And Refreshing! Thank you so very Much 😊 God Bless you!
Really good and it gives me hope to sketch more ❤ Danke sehr 🙏
Thank you so much 😊👍
Hey Your paintings are awesome keep going. Strange only a few people liked it❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊🙏🙏. I really appreciate the comment.
excellent demonstration
Id rather drawings with heart like yours on my wall than realism. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Great idea to increase learning with a spread of the same subject. Thank you for another helpful video!
Amazing Machan
I have always been intimidated by oil pastels. You make it look easy 😊
I love the drawing - the colours work so well with each other. And a very helpful video! Thank you very much🙏🏼
Beautiful. Can you show us how to do it?
Hi Ana, thank you for the comment. Absolutely, I've been trying to create videos to share the techniques I use. I've posted two ink and wash videos. This could be useful 🙂 czcams.com/video/hXrGzLvF4MU/video.html
Excellent drawing ✍️ beautiful tree ✍️👍
Thanks very much 😊😊
A beautiful sketch! I love how you use colour. A very helpful tutorial - thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it :)
I love these sketches - the initial outline peaking through gives them such life and energy! It’s so nice to see pencils used to make marks and textures, rather than just treated as paint. Thank you very much for sharing your approach!
Beautiful!
so pretty 🤩
Thank you. Love it....
Beautiful artwork.
Thank you very much 😊😊😊
Terrible soundtrack, totally unfitting.
I agree, I've tried to change background music in my recent videos 🙂
Would you mind sharing a link to your reference? I really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting.
Thank you very much, Dale. Here's the link to the reference: pin.it/61jCZ2SOW
nice 👍
Looks great. What sketchbook are you using? Is it watercolor paper? Thanks
Thank you so much. This is a Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook, quite commonly used here in the UK. Paper is thick and can handle watercolour well.
Beautiful cartoon tree drawings!☺️
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the comment 😊
So inspring. Gonna start drawing again first thing tomorrow. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. I'm delighted to hear that the video gave some inspiration 🙂🙂🙂
@kaliopinikitas5821 Started ink and wash again :). I wonder if you do line and wash watercolour!
I love it! Yes, I definitely do line and wash watercolour, I have a sketchbook just for that. It's one of my favourite because it really is an easy process and makes any elevates the look of any sketch. Great tips that you gave, as always!
Incidentally, what size pen did you use? It looks like you used a Pigma micron, if I'm not mistaken, and perhaps a Posca pen for the white accents? Do you have a favourite type of pen or size you use?
@@kaliopinikitas5821 Yes, I used a micron pen, size 8. Posca pen (standard size) for white accents. I really like micron size 8. Sometimes I use uniPen size 10 for thicker lines and shades.
Yooo that is soooo beautiful! True art true passion true beauty!!!!! 👾💕🦐🌈
Thank you so much 😊😊😊
Thank you for the video, it was great. Loved your art!😊
Thank you so much 😊
Very nice work. May I ask, why do you use Derwent inktense pencils for this kind of work? They are water-soluble ink pencils. Have you tried Derwent procolor or Lightfast, or Caran D'Ache Pablo or Luminance pencils f ex.?
Yes, I used Derwent Inktense pencils for this. I like them because we can create really dark values using Derwent Inktense pencils. Never used procolor, light fast or Caren D'Ache 🙂. What would you recommend for creating dark values?
@@chamilrathnayake dark indigo from either Derwent Lightfast or my favorite Caran D'Ache Luminece. You can bye it separately and try out. Wax/oil based
If you happen to drop water on inktence, they will bleed as watercolour.
I realised that by accident actually :) @@hannemarielorenzen3428
Thank you so much. I'll definitely try. I use only a few colours. So, it is great I can buy them separately.@@hannemarielorenzen3428
Beautiful colored pencil still life with grapes and pear, Chamil!!
Gorgeous tiger, Chamil!
admire your progress and creativity
I love your style and embrace of the texture of the pencils and paper.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the comment :). I like loose 'painterly' art. I think colour pencils are an easy medium for loose painting. Mixed media work with watercolour and colour pencils are fantastic too :) See this: czcams.com/video/0mEZn0cEMPs/video.html
@kaliopinikitas5821 I just wanted to tag you because I had to reupload the video. Realised that I had made a spelling mistake in the title in the beginning of the video 😊😊😊 Thank you so much for your very kind words. That's really encouraging for a small channel like mine. I am really glad you enjoyed the videos. That gives me motivation to continue drawing. Thanks again!
I totally agree with you, drawing the same subject from different angles is such a fantastic exercise and helps really understand the subject. I love your choice of the fox! Beautifully done and I really enjoyed watching your process, what you did and in which order. Thanks for another great video! 🦊🖌🎨
Thank you so much 😊. I really enjoyed this exercise.
Nice sketchbook! Good tips, but I'd rather hear your voice than read and listen to music.
Thank you so much. I have to admit. I've been too shy to record my voice. But this is something I want to do (and I know will greatly enhance the videos). I have another sketchbook nearing completion. I'm going to give it a try next time :)
Pencil p🍐rn. Love it, thanks, new sub.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏 I really appreciate it 🙂
@chamilrathnayake i followed your instructions and it came out quite painterly. Great tutorial!
I would love to see your work :). I'm still learning too. :) @@raerae6422
Great way to increase learning to have different colours for the underpainting. I like your comments about going slow and enjoying/noticing the sensations along the way.
Another beautiful and inspiring tutorial, thank you. I painted some tomatoes in watercolour yesterday... I think I'm going to try them again today but using the watercolour as the underpainting as per your example. Thanks again!
Thanks for breaking this down into steps. So fresh and inspiring. I love your channel because you are different from the rest.
Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. I've never had formal any training in art. May be that's why my work is different 😊
Fantastic! I'm trying this tomorrow.
Chamil your bold and strong lined portrait of a shoe in colored pencil is stunning! I love this style you have created. Really beautiful and powerful.
Thank you so much, Dena. I really appreciate the comment. This is one of my favourite approaches. Thought I should share it 🙂
@kaliopinikitas5821 Just wanted to tag you in this week's video :)
Thanks for tagging me, Chamil! Great video and love your strong lines! I'll be trying this out later today. Love the final touch of the soft background. Perfect!
Another great video! I paused the video, grabbed my sketchbook and coloured pencils, and joined you! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the comment. I'm delighted to hear that the video is useful 😊 I am planning to do a few more loose drawing videos.
Wow 😍
Try colourpencils over watercolour You will get amazing results .
I'll definitely give it a try! 😊
