My Etsy store was suspended permanently in June after 4 years of hard work! I got 1,500 great review & 5,000 orders! Now I really really really hate Etsy. I have moved my store to eBay and Amazon now.

You think the Chinese aren't taking YOUR money you give them selling THEIR pod products?? To takeover global economic domination over the USA ur very naive. I spent a whole week researching trying to find a pod MUG for etsy.ALLLLL mugs are from china. China is doing what they said they would...that u can't find, buy or sell ANYTHING that is not made in china. China has usa located companies with American names and you sell their stuff ,,,without asking them to know...ur selling CHINESE products...giving money to fuel communism.. china is actually like the mafia.

WE sellers in POD china products in printify and give the Chinese communists our money. THEN china makes TEMU manufactures that UNDERSELL our freedom free markets companies....ddddaaaa we did it to ourselves. China told the world they will take us over economically then totally. There are VERY FEW NON china made in products pod sights, redbubble too i asked are ALL chinese products. So if u care about your country...and freedom ...look what u are selling (helping and giving money too).. WAKE UP SELLERS for your profit you most likely giving money to our enemy.

??? Im in Australia. Been looking into Etsy and read/heard so much conflicting information. Im techno challenged and not sure that I would know how to do it all. Basically, is there any point on listing hand made vintage ornamental books, but there would only be five or more to start with ?. Some people say you have to have lots of items and others say no you can just list 2 items. Im very confused. I dont want to make a fortune, just to find an outlet for my creations (apart from Marketplace). TIA

We moved from Utah to Mississippi 2 years ago, but left my business operations in Utah. We are an LLC. The past couple of months we have been working to move the business also to Mississippi since the cost of operating is much cheaper. I wanted to make sure I did not have to change my EIN to avoid any issues with Etsy. I did have to hire a lawyer to do it, but there is a way to move an LLC from another states. It is called domesticating (I think). I am sure it is just a bit of extra paperwork rather than just closing the LLC in one state and forming a new one in another, but to me it was worth every penny to avoid any issues with Etsy.

Handmade sellers are complaining about Alibaba stuff. Specifically - sellers coaiming to be handmade - or production partner - that are neither and underpricing the genuine handmade ( handmade cannot compete with mass produced pricing). They are selling shirts ( finised products ) for less than the fabruc costs me. The other thing happening - is Chinese producers are stealing Etsy handmade sellers photos and selling fakes, then the Etsy AI tags the handmade seller as a liar ( because their photos are on Alibaba ). Sellers are having a terrible time catching the people selling fakes and getting their photos taken down. Miss one, and Etsy could close you shop....which is final and no one will talk to you. Just Done. I have had an item removed - for violating a standard - it did not violate. I sent pics, explanation of everything. They said - decisions are final. If a human had spoken to me I could have explained the ridiculousness of it all. It wasn't a great seller anyway - but it might be the next time..

It's his attempt to help mas production sellers. He's not helping handmade. Every year they f*ck the platform up right before the holidays. The video made me angry. Cheshire cat smiling liar. Removed "handmade" in the filters. You can now only filter to All or Vintage. How does that "help" handmade sellers. " Keep commerce human" - bs when sellers cant even talk to a human ( the old customer service # no longer works). Sellers get no support. "Commitment to Creativity"... By helping mass production sellers. He uses the words original, unique, creative. He's not said the word Handmade. Etsy was born as a handmade platform. Now - nope. Buyers I have talked to go to etsy for handmade. They are upset to find crap on there.

It’s crazy seeing Josh after all these years. I worked with him when he was a mere business student intern (with a full head of dark hair). He gave me a houseplant when he left. Sweet. I have an Etsy shop selling POD and feel more confident that I fit into ‘designed by’ category. Now, I just need more eyeballs on my products. I hope the ‘gift mode’ era has ended.

If I use a design from Crative Fabrica, or another source, but change for example, the colour of the font, of put some different texture on the design will it be ok? Or do I need to change the elements such as fonts, or include some more drawings etc?

I sold jewelry designed by myself for years successfully on Etsy. I took a break after caretaking for my sick father and instead started selling things on ebay that I found and flipped wherever since I didn't have time to hand design jewelry. I plan to come back to Etsy now that I have the time. I source beads and finding from everywhere including old pieces that I find and breakdown for the parts. Some of the items used in my designs are vintage, new, and used. Some of my beads are handmade blown glass from another designer. Some are imported from other countries. How should I categorized my jewelry? Do I exclusively use the phrased "designed by me" or is it handmade by me?

Yes I was recently at a $100 budget and some days I would spend 20 dollars but no sales or spend 8 dollars and get a sale. I use AI as a base. Then it is finished in Photoshop and or Kittl. Sometimes I use Procreate to add embellishments. So I consider my designs a mixed media type of digital design. I don't see that as an option.

I think the image policy for personalized items is about the clearest thing Etsy has ever said. I am confused about some other things but this policy is not confusing to me at all. Regardless of what they meant to say, they clearly said your image just needs to be an example of a finished product that has the customization you are offering. I don't see any ambiguity in the words at all. "your first image must feature a finished, customized item similar to what buyers will receive. This helps buyers visualize what their custom-made item will look like when completed. It is prohibited to use a photo of the blank product or a mockup with placeholder text (e.g. “Your Text Here”) as the main image." If you are offering to customize a mug with a person's name, you could use a mock-up (in line with their mock-up policies) with the name "Ann" on it, regardless of what name your customer wants you to put on their mug. It's just an example. I think that's what the words "similar to" are there for.
