What would be the recommended gas to run?
heard already the sound from your grasshopper 729t great sound great power to mow the grass
Super 👍👍👍
Do you have concrete or asphalt? Does the bucket scar up any of it? Or could you put the loader in float would that work or would it hit on an uneven part?
I have asphalt. Best I remember floating wants to ride up and get on top of snow unless you tilt bucket down then you have a danger of it hitting uneven pavement
You can mail me your batteries😊
What are the boring heads you referenced? The arrow tipped ones?
Not sure if it matters that much, but I use a torque wrench when putting my blades back on, I think in the manual it is 55-60ftlb. There are fiber glass washers between the blade and spindle that act as clutches, when you hit a rock, the blade will stop and prevent damage to the spindle. I have blown up one of those fiber glass washers hitting a rock, so they do work well.
I've always wondered if it had double wheels like the ventrac how it would do. I prefer the front mount deck grasshopper because if the hills to steep I can always push the deck up the hill and cut it . The mid mounts you can't. I also prefer a 52 or 61 deck wouldn't have a 72 . Those are made for flat ground.
Which fan would you recommend
I’m assuming you’re talking about the 20v dewalt fan or the 18v Milwaukee? The dewalt is variable speed, has a dial. The Milwaukee has three speeds. I probably like the DeWalt fan better also seems not as loud.
Hope everything is well. I read some comments about your troubles but just wanted to put this idea out there. I would love to see ideas even like this just about design and property management in the first place. I realize you won’t actually be doing construction work but these type of videos are very interesting. Once again hope you all the best!
That could be a possibility
5:45 let it eat
WHERE ARE YOUR KNEE PADS!!!
I know I sure needed them.
Why arnt you leaving a expansion gap along walls
I surly did somewhere along the wall because it’s laying perfectly and never had I had a problem with the flooring.
How are you able to maintain uniform depth? If it was me, that bevel would never be so uniform, so whats the technique?
I’ve actually never used it. Only the guys that work for me have used it and this guy is s very good friend of mine that called me and asked if I had one. But the plate it rides on, you set the depth by it and lock that plate. Thanks for your comment.
Still so cool! Thank you for making these videos. You are awesome, hope to see you again soon
USE A JETTER !
Guy that has run both told me in the 100hp range said they John Deere AC was better We have a M7060 kubota and John Deere 5325 cab tractors in the family. The John Deere air conditioner is much better in these two tractors in both these situations here is why. Those kubotas AC is on the steering column the John Deere is in the roof. Some big John Deere have the AC on the column also I think from my experience the roof is just better
How is the floor after 5 years? I'm preparing a kitchen to install currently
Floor is still good. It’s in a rental house as you know sometimes tenants don’t take care of it but it’s still looks good.
May god bless you! Thank you, gentlemen
Outstanding real time review Daithi , (Irish for David) 😂 I’m getting the Dewalt as I’ve a stack of batteries already. Plus if it’s anything like the Strimmers I’ll be happy. The Milwaukee certainly has some better advantages. Always pros v cons. Thanks for sharing 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Thanks for your comment
This is sickening and it's happening more and more
Come out better with a grinder
I no a few people that use cardboard for walls or just cover the old sheetrock cause it is full of holes and cardboard is cheap but very nice if done right
2 hands in the wrong direction
I suspect that the "uncomfortable" feelings you were having on the steeper part will become non-existent as your experience and confidence increases. Enjoy.
Sideways is normal. Think gravity and weight transfer. Basic science.
What he said. If it was turned around you wouldnt notice it much . But unlike your other mower its pretty long. I used them on steep stuff and never had issues it just taks some getting use to. I think there one of the best mowers and have ran alot of them including a grasshopper built woods! Run a scag now but going to get me one soon!
Glad you went with the gas engine. The diesel engine is having a ton of problems.
I’m didn’t know that
What kinda problems? The 725 or 900d?
@@jakeblaha9233 900D mainly cam bearing issues
I love this router!! It is beautiful.
It does a great job
All glory to God.
I have had a grasshopper mid mount diesel since 2009 and I am very pleased with it. 1100 hours and counting. Only battery life is short. Take a hot battery for cranking them
I would find a different way to mow that slope. Looks too dangerous. Also, why didn't you get a diesel?
Friend of mine has the same mower and he likes his so I got a gas also. I’m pleased with it. Lots of power but loves gas. Wish it had a larger gas tank. Thanks for commenting.
It gets a little sketchy sometimes. I’ve gotten to where I mow it up and down and not across it. Thank for commenting
Hi David, I wonder if the dealer has an option for locks on the rear tires? I’ve heard of rear swivel lockers so the slope could be a little bit more stable / straighter. Ideally you could engage / disengage as needed from the seat.I would ask your grasshopper dealer. Thank you for the video. I would love to trade in my Ferris 3zx 52” stander for a grasshopper out front. Would want a 48 or 52, not sure if that is possible..
Appreciate your footage, nice job! Would you say it’s not really a ‘finishing’ mower? Looks like the perfect mower for larger fields (other than the colors :) ) . But not sure it would work for a fine cut. Am I wrong?
I'm sure it's saqusash. My 'bota L3450 has an AC system that can make you nipples cut glass. I personally rather mechanical 4wd and have heat come thru the linkage hole then have electric 4wd failures.
DeWalt used to be a quality company but over the past few years their "customer service" has gone to hell. I will NEVER buy another DeWalt tool again in my life.
How you been? Why no new videos?
I had total knee replacement in October 23 then January 10th I feel 10 feet from a ladder and shattered my right wrist (my dominant hand) - 6 pines and one screw and I’m still in therapy from that. I will not ever gain full motion to my hand. I also fell on a table and cut my head, major concussion I didn’t know where i was for almost 9 hrs. I’m just now getting out but I’m not doing any physical work and probably will not do much anymore. Thank you for asking. Ive been thinking i need to make a video and let people know what happened. I just feel funny about putting a social media video out. I never posted anything on FB or instagram about it, but I’ve had a few people asking the same question so i probably will make one. Thanks again.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!! Prayers
Hello, David, from Ian here in BONNY SCOTLAND! Edinburgh to be precise. I really enjoyed your video. I have the Dewalt trimmer on order already. Should have it in a few days and found your demonstration and thoughts on it very much reassured me in my choice. Keep up the good work! 😃
Thank you for your kind word. I believe you will enjoy your new trimmers!! Thanks for commenting. Have a blessed day.
What is that material made of
It’s a hard plastic
WOW man, where are the new videos? It's tool time
lol thanks for asking. I had total knee replacement first of October 23 and haven’t done much since. Then Jan 10th 24 i feel 10 feet from a ladder and that about finished me and I’m just now starting to do a few things. Ive told my wife couple of times i needed to make a video about where I’ve been and what’s been going on. Have a blessed day and thanks again for asking.
Oh my! I thought you had hit the lottery. That's a heckuva story, I'm glad to hear you're still with us. I haven't had a ladder fall but I'm so paranoid about it I kinda stay off of them when I can. Anywho, take it easy man, take your time, we're just a bunch of tool nuts. We'll be here! Blessings to you and yours.
First off, all you guys referring too it as a "pressure" washer have too high of expectations for it. Even DeWalt refers too it as a "power" washer. Sure its not going too compare too a gas or big electric pressure washer, but i like mine too throw in the RV especially when intravel down too the Az. desert for winter. Its great for rinsing off the truck, bike, awning etc from the desert sand and dust. I already have batteries from other tools i carry so the convenience of it is awesome. I use a 7 gal. water jug i carry an even if a hose spigot isnt available, im good too go. Suits my needs just fine. I do have a more powerful electric "pressure" washer at home for the bigger jobs if i want too drag out the cords an hose, but like he said, this is ideal for quicker, smaller jobs.👍
Counter clockwise for exterior cuts Clockwise for interior cuts - as my teacher would say
Very informative video ... thank you
Thank you
Last time I've seen a soil this red, I was in Prince Edward Island!
lol!! Lots of clay soil in this lawn
We all start like that, even before we share in the web. 😂
Id like to see that grasshopper with tweel tires on it, like you had on the Feriss. I think it would hold better imo
I have mixed emotions since I had them, after awhile I said they wasn’t worth what they cost. The Ferris actually held better with the factory tires. When I traded it in the sales guy said he wouldn’t have given me as much in trade if I hadn’t had the factory tires. He said it’s getting to where the commercial mowers don’t care for them as much if their mowing hills.
@@DavidFDay Hello how are you liking the Ghopper and how is the Kubota in terms of issues and fuel usage. thnxs
I like the grass hopper. I like the Kubota tractor. Ive has several kubotas over the years and have had no problems. Only the on the Grand L cab is the rubber that seals off the 4+4 lever has broke off and i have to keep a rag over that area because you can see the ground through that area.
@@DavidFDay ok thnxs 👍 im deciding on a 729 gas or a 325d.
Long blade hedge trimmer + one handed hedge trimmer + manual pruner/cordless pruner/hatchet/one handed recip saw would be my loadout. Hand pruner can take care of what the one handed trimmer can't get in the odd spots without much effort. I prefer the m12 trimmer on 2ft-3ft~ diameter round bushes and tight/odd areas.
I'm currently a full month into the process of attempting to enter a warranty claim with Dewalt, and I can't even explain the level of frustration with them. Their ServiceNow portal is so buggy that I can't even get the claim started. There have been approximately 15 email exchanges with Dewalt support, with no resolution. Nobody expects any consumer brand to be perfect - sometimes tools fail. All we ask is that the tool companies step up to the plate and offer a reliable warranty services for what they sell instead of giving customers such a run-around that they finally just give up and go to a different brand. If anybody out there is needing Dewalt warranty support, all I can say is "May God have mercy on your soul".
My brother let me use his because I need a clean out every year with the tree roots . It is a beast and great machine . I wouldn’t waste my time with the drum style . 1 1/4 cable will not let you down . Love it . Great video. Well worth the $3500 on this great machine
Thanks for your kind comments
That turbo tip as you call it is for use on patios / concrete , not paintwork 😂
How are things buddy?
I’m doing good. Thanks for asking. Don’t work much anymore.
