New tool Tuesday--Milwaukee sewer

On this New Tool Tuesday I use the Milwaukee M18 sectional machine for the first time.

Nice job David and Jeff I know sewage lines can be difficult I bought one of those jetters joe my pressure washer and it does a good job the bigger the pressure washer the better just wanted to throw it out there keep up the good work guy thanks for posting

Those snake sections connect really easy. Not afraid they will disconnect just as easy in the pipe leaving a souvenir?
No they actually lock in and you have a key to unlock them. They can break or get stuck. I have a retriever spring that is supposed to pull a cable or bit out. If that does happen.
I do have a backhoe to dig a section up if I had to get a cable or bit. Thanks for commenting.

“temporary “ repair clamp on the water main! I couldn’t tell what type of material that line was made of but you’ll be back to fix it again buddy.
The water company here gave that to me, they said that’s what they use. I didn’t want to dig the sidewalk up to put a new pipe in.
Great jib as usual my friend. I was thinking about buying that same drain machine because I love the fact it feeds itself and pulls cables back on those really long runs. Please tell me what you really think of the machine or do you need time to beat it up some more.
Since this is the first time I had even turned the machine on and wasn’t real familiar with exactly how everything operates and this isn’t the most difficult clogged I’ve ever unclogged I can’t give 100%. The machine worked great, operated great. I liked the feed & retrieval of the cable as well. On this first use I liked everything about it and the way it transports. I am interested in getting it into a more difficult clog to actually see the power capability of the machine that’s my main concern is when I get into a tuff root situation how will it perform. It seems to have good power.
What are the boring heads you referenced? The arrow tipped ones?

90ft or so where it clogged up before. So wouldn’t it be a headache saver just to dig the line up there and replace the problem section? Asking a serious question. Just for future is why I ask. Them snake machines are nice tho.
You are absolutely correct. I’ve been wanting to do that for sometime now but I’ve just not taken the time to do that. I’ve had several remodeling jobs last 2 or 3 years and just haven’t gotten to it. Thanks for commenting

I found the Milwaukee with 200 feet of cable and a set for all the cable bits for $999 at baileys discount store in Indiana. Still didn’t buy because nothing beats 120v power 🤷♂️
What cable size is that and where do you buy it?

Im thinking about finally buying a sewer machine. How's the power and the battery life? How does it compare to your Ridgid sectional?
First off I don’t do commercial work i only work for myself. I have 30 rental properties. Ive said the Milwaukee is one of the best investments I’ve made because my clogs have slowed down since i bought it. Lol all kidding aside I’ve actually only used it that one time and it worked great. I wish i could tell you more.
How does this compare to the rigid k1500? I own some rentals as well and I’m trying to decide which to buy, I already own Milwaukee tools as well so I have that battery system
I’ve only used it one time. I’ve said it’s been the best sewer machine I’ve purchased because since I’ve bought it I’ve only had one sewer stop up!! Lol it worked just fine on this stoppage. I’ve not sold the ridged k1500 yet because I was waiting to use it one more time possibly on some good roots to really test it. When I bought the Milwaukee I said if it performs as well as the ridged I would sell the ridged. Thanks for commenting. I also own the ridged flex shafts there awesome.
It doesn't.The rigid has much more power.This machine is garbage.I used it and it's failed me every time.Its only good for light clogs.

I’ve personally never used a jetter but they seem to work really well. I guess it would just be a personal preference. Thanks for commenting.
@@DavidFDay jetting is really good for built up food grease stuck around the pipes. I used to use the machine to unclog the pipes and then use the jet
