In terms of story, I got super invested in the environmental story telling about Link and Zelda's relationship in Breath of the Wild. How Zelda initially hated Link, but over time grew to appreciate then, seemingly against her better judgement, love him. Then we get to TotK and they seemed to reset that emotional relationship back to protector and ward. That was very disappointing. Even if it wasn't an explicit story beat, give me a bit of confirmation in the world that they loved each other and it wasn't just protector and ward. After the loneliness of BotW and with TotK being so much about relationships, the emotional connection of the two characters being explored more would've added miles of depth.

I really hoped TOTK was gonna have darknuts. They could have made them Zonai warriors. The goat face could look similar to the windwaker dog faces and the shape of their bodies is very long torsoed like the Zonai..... Would have loved to see them back again. There's a statue in one cave in TOTK that jumpscared me and then I got disappointed that there was no darknut

I was always skeptical about open world games, and the, "perceived" freedom they gave players, so I got Zelda Tears of Kingdom thinking Nintendo of all companies could pull it off, with their quality control being so crazy and all, turns out Nintendo made it a nuts n' bolts, shame shame shame, I'm going to need those 728 hours back Nintendo

You're completely right about Ballad of the Goddess being known by people who don't even know what Skyward Sword is.

i still get chills listening to the colgera fight music, but none of the other boss fights ever gave me that same wow factor during my playthrough of totk. i feel like "disappointing masterpiece" is such a perfect way to describe how the team got so many things right and missing a lot of other things all while still making such a lovable game. i also really resonated with the monotony of the "sage meets ancestor" cutscenes and the potential for new characters to develop connections to.

Making all the 4 attributes equally weighted simplifies the scoring, but I think it would be fairer if her magical abilities and intelligence had more weight in this ranking. These two attributes are much more important for this character than her physical abilities or equipment, since she represents the wisdom facet of the triforce, afterall. It's like if a mage character on an RPG had an insanely high STR stat and equiped a really powerful sword. It's kind of irrelevant because he would cast spells anyway... Maybe take this into consideration on next ranking? Just a suggestion, of course.

The Great Temple theme is better, and I think more people played, or at least bought Smash Bros Brawl than Melee, where the Great Temple theme was default.

1:11:20 The Goron storyline is another one ruined by freedom, because if you take the main road, you’ll find a gate where 2 gorons slowly tiptoe toward you with zombies, asking if you have rupees(?) I was scared to see that, and was hesitant to talk to them, but upon looking for streamers with the same experience, a lot of them ended up paragliding way past said gate.

I think the english version is just misleading due to how it inverted the quote from "You are Zelda's..." to "Zelda is your..." I feel like the original one isn't that mysterious, it could just be "you're the princess' last hope" or something like that.

I think you did twilight Princess Zelda dirty. She has so much knowledge and the only person who really knew what was going on whereas the rest of hyrule fumbles around in the dark. She stood up to Zant and the only reason she didn’t fight was because if she lost her soldiers and people would be killed. the Zelda timeline will never end until the curse is lifted. so long as the curse of Demise is in effect, the timeline will always continue.

I think if we're talking about Adventure of Link's Zelda in terms of leadership, I think her backstory of being trusted by the king with the location of the triforce of Courage should have been factored in.
