Dude, Nintendo actually had the most qualified Zelda content creator do the demo. It’s crazy how much better this video is than other demo/gameplay impression videos.
Exactly. Other people are trying to understand the controls and fumbling around. Zeltik immediately tries whistle sprinting. 😂👍🏻

I just love how the single frame of "Zonai charge" during Aonuma's gameplay made Zelda theorists lose their minds, and now we're seeing "Zonai" literally all over the menu navigation 😂
I love how Nintendo saw players making flying machines in BotW, and decided to make it an actual mechanic
Then probably sued the players for stealing the idea

In a recent trailer I saw Link riding a hose while spinning a spear... If I'm not wrong this is a know glitch on BotW (that give huge amount of damage against enemys) that they seem to have added as a actual mechanic of horse battle!

NOTE: If you have already watched Nintendo's TOTK preview videos, you're not going to see anything new of consequence in Zeltik's vid. I think Zeltik's video is helpful, and he narrates clearly & honestly throughout. Nothing is really given away here (NO STORY AT ALL); mostly he just goes through some of Link's available abilities and comments on them. I think the Ascend ability will be used in platforming sections on the sky islands. I really hope that there will be lots of surprises with Ascend, such as thinking you’re going to the top of a mountain, and instead discovering a secret mini dungeon
There's one island that's like a stacked tower. That's a perfect candidate for it
If Ascend is not one of the main abilities used for dungeon exploration in this game, I'm gonna hate it over a huge lost opportunity. Ascend is my favourite ability so far because it alone legitimizes the reuse of the old map, if done correctly.

I like the zonai pachinko machine idea. You seem to get a good amount of random material from it from simply killing constructs, which there are a lot of, so this gear will help with killing more constructs making a creative gameplay loop. In this situation, I like the randomness because it means the player has to get creative
Agreed, but that is not a pachinko machine. That's a capsule vending machine like a Gachapon, similar to a gumball machine. I am surprised Zeltik still hasn't corrected this after responses from his earlier videos talking about this machine.

Been watching your vids since 800 subs, so happy to see you getting pre release gameplay straight from Nintendo. You’ve come so far 🙏
The three purple hands ability could be some sort of copy & paste or duplication tool, since Zeltik said that it "streamlines the building process." It also has three hands, rather than just one hand as an icon which could possibly indicate duplication.
I'm thinking it let's you save blueprints.
I bet it's probably called something like "Multihand"
@@Matthew10950 you're right, someone on the ign video was able to read it
I thought it would be something from the ability to Recruit Allies, but it would be very rare that it was an ability and not just an option
Could be an online blueprint sharing feature maybe?
At 5:55 you'll also notice how there's a spot for a new ability not yet aquired alongside the one he wasn't able to talk about, which is interesting because it means there's another ability we get to use. Even with this super small glimpse there's so much new here, and we haven't even seen like 10% of it. Really excited to see the full game and explore all the stuff we haven't seen
I didn't see a camera icon, so it's probably after getting the new sheika slate. Camera or something similar maybe, unless it has a dedicated button to it which I doubt.
@@xShadowbane451 there's an ability named map with the minimap icon, if we can't access the map with - button perhaps it might go there
It’s a surprise tool that will help us later.
Maybe the ability to call Allies?
They could even potentially expand the ring to more than 8 slots later, like some games do to make it a surprise when you get more abilities / key items after thinking you found everything important already.
Love your videos man!! Thank you for always giving good content!! ❤
Im starting to worry that fusing is going to become tedious and not as fun as I thought. Great vid. I'm hoping I'm gonna be playing and enjoying the complete game. Not always having to do an ability.

Congrats on the opportunity, and thanks for sharing it with us!
It's crazy to think that the Zonai went from being a big theory, and a group that we thought would never be integral to the story, to basically being the MAIN theme of the next game. They're definitely far more than the "savage" tribe described in BotW, so it will be interesting to see in the story how they ended up with that title (when in reality they were extremely advanced in technology). I love when sequels expand upon smaller elements from the previous game, and make it something huge. It feels like they really honored the fans who took the time to look into the micro in such a massive game.
Looks absolutely amazing and can't wait to play.
My theory on them from what we've seen is that they were essentially a third counterpart to the sheikah and yiga who worshipped the spirit of courage instead of the avatar of wisdom or power (the blood of the goddess and the descendants of the demon tribe curse).
The Sheikah used blue magic and technology primarily, and the yiga used red, representing hylia who the sheikah worshipped and demise who the yiga worshipped. The Zonai all seem to have a greeen aesthetic, which is the color of Farore, the goddess of courage, and the color associated with the spirit of the hero.
Last game had a great emphasis on the sheikah and blue, with link and zelda's traditional canonical outfits being replaced with the blue garb, and the primary crux of the story in the memories being about Zelda awakening her goddess powers while Link's aptitude seemed to come naturally, and now we're getting much more emphasis on Link, with a palette shift to match
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 Makes a ton of sense, had similar ideas as well. The good ol' war crime committing royal family probably banished them for not fully aligning with them, and maybe some of them found a way past the cloud barrier and began developing advanced tech.
@@nobuwashere That's a great point. From what we've seen from TotK, the "warlike" and "savage" title doesn't make any sense from the previous game.
It seems like it was given to them rather than actually describing who they are. The only other reason I could think of is that half of them ended up past the cloud barrier somehow (and developed advanced tech), while the others remained on the ground, and was in fact more "savage."
Other explanation is they all did start off on the ground and were not technologically skilled, and then something happened sealing them all in the sky (maybe the fight against ganondorf in the ancient past?). After this happened, they found ancient tech in the sky islands, and overhauled their culture, learning how to creating hyper advanced tools.
OMG!! No way! Congrats! ❤ you deserved being invited!

BotW had frame rate drops during high action sequences too. I still hate fighting the Lynel in the colosseum because the flame blade during a flurry rush makes the game slow down to less than 10fps
I watched a video from gamexplain and de FPS are more fluid, maybe was the record who drops the frame
@@Nintendofan91 facts it was pretty bad. Im a little bit more optimistic on TOTK simply bc the wii u isn’t in the picture anymore. I tend to forget BOTW was a wii u game first that was ported to switch. I’m not super picky about graphics but them frames are important.
This video was so informative and really enjoyed your transparency 🙂
Happy you got to get a hands on preview thank you for showing us this great gameplay and commentary.
The game looks INCREDIBLE. I hope from a technical standpoint it holds up. There were a few frame rate drops & pop-in. Pop-in I’m concerned about because in the sky islands you can travel at great speed with the rockets, I hope it isn’t too bad though!
Pop in and fps drops ahoy!
Important to remember to that this game was fully built for the switch. BOTW was made for WiiU and then ported for Switch. Not to say that none of that stuff will happen, but I don’t think it will be worse then anything BOTW had.
Framerate drops are from Nintendo B-Roll footage. Game is very stable framerate wise

Same! Im hoping for some idiot proof ways to build things when they’re necessary, I’m not super amped about it like most seem to be
@@AnaPie896 Yep, it's the fact that it seems so necessary for gameplay that I'm a little bummed about. Fingers crossed Nintendo provides some different avenues such as time shifting to reach the sky islands. Because I imagine I'll get very bored building legos eventually. But we'll see!
Same! Tears of the Kingdom honestly hasn't impressed me yet. Nothing is said about locations or dungeons or puzzles or actual interaction with the world. It's all these gimmicks being blown up.
@@Thirteen13551355 BotW trailers before release mostly showcased similar gameplay mechanics (how items are dropped by enemies, how you can cut trees, use paraglider above firecamps to get elevation, shock arrows on water for greater effects, etc.) or very generic travel sessions to show how big the world was, and very few story elements just enough to give you an idea.
We already saw glimpses of new puzzles : the rotating sky island, assembling vehicles to get across water bodies or broken train tracks, etc.
Most of the iconic BotW places have been altered to some extend, which is not enough to make a full game out of it, but we didn't see a lot of the sky islands, only the main tutorial islands and glimpses of what seem to be sky dungeons or at least big shrine-like "mini-dungeons" (the big tornado, the floating water bubbles islands...). And Nintendo has shown almost nothing about the underground, I think there is less than 20s of footage of underground in all gameplay showcases. There will surely be dungeons there, and I suspect big areas to explore too.
I think there will be more interactions with the world than in BotW. They teased some kind of escort mission, companions fighting enemies with you, a troop of what seems to be recruitable NPCs with fused weapons (makes me think we recruit them and provide them with weapons, what for I have no idea). And one of the trailers show a group of armed villagers fighting monsters, I don't know if it's a random event similar to what we could encounter in BotW or if there is some kind of faction quest going on where you help inhabitants reclaim some lands. Also we saw a soldier / explorer encampment in ruined Castle town which made many Zelda content creators wonder if it will just be normal location or something you can improve with quests in a similar way to Tarrey Town in BotW.
But in the end, we will know if it's "just DLC" or Nintendo actually hid enormous chunks of the game.

Zeltik ALWAYS coming in clutch with the video I need to see!!!!
Thank you Zeltik, this was a fun watch, it makes me even more excited to get the game :D
9:49 this is f’ing EPIC! I’m sure a hot air balloon was actually a more likely thought by Nintendo than one might think, but I’m very curious to see what other unexpected builds people come up with that work as more than they first appear.
it's amazing how much the developers are able to utilize the players' intuition rather than explicit tutorials, feels like it will make experimenting with the mechanics a lot more satisfying

Seems like these devs actually play their games AS a player, and not as a dev. And I know they’ve talked about taking periodic time for everyone to just play what they’ve built so far. So they’re not just using a command panel and giving themselves extra items / utilities. They get “make this thing look suspicious / interesting and the player will go there without us telling them to”
My initial theory for the mystery ability is that it will function like a "garage", allowing you to save designs for machines.
Then again, this doesn't seem like something that they would want to keep a huge secret, so I don't know.
From what I've seen, the gameplay is just expertly crafted. everything has a reason and ties to something else, it's a small amount of tools but a lot of possibilities. as a game dev wanna be, this is sick.
This is an unbiased opinion rather than an advertisement and this is what TRULY sold me
Zeltik is on a whole new level with his Zelda coverage 🎉
This looks incredible. The amount of thought that went into the crafting system, the combat, the freedom to make literally anything?!?! I think it's safe to say this will be one of the best Zelda games ever made
Well said! 👏
Also, is it just me or does the menu/map screen look really cool?
Elden Ring takes the cake over this game. This is nothing more than an expansion.
Korok Seeds are back! Wow!
Same Hyrule world with floating islands and possibly caves to explore.....
They will most likely have Shrines again and super lame dungeons.
They are using the same music....which the music was already lacking.
Literally the only thing going for this game are new game mechanics to traverse the sky, which these mechanics also assist in combat.
The game is literally a physics/Minecraft simulator....I guess that's an upgrade from BotW, which was a rock climbing simulator.
Definitely not worth $70! Stop giving Nintendo your money.

@@Bob-fh3yk What made you think that it is a good idea to write so much about an opinion no one cares anymore after the final trailer dropped? 😂Most skeptics are converted and excited! 😁
So glad zeltik got to visit Nintendo and get a taste of this game he's so anticipated. when it comes out don't be super worried about cranking content out make sure to stop smell the roses and indulge the part of you the grew to love Zelda so much in the first place, we will all be ready to watch your wonderful take on it when your ready, best wishes
One of the first videos I've seen by you, but you're a phenomenal previewer/reviewer. Don't even have to look at other content to know this is cream of the crop.
With a name like Great Sky Island, I'm now 100% sure that it's supposed to be the parallel to the Great Plateau. Congrats on the invitation!
Hate that I’m so desperate to play this game that I’m watching this even though I don’t wanna see anything 😂
Edit: also super happy for you being invited to Nintendo, that must be such a great experience
This is the exact mix of emotions I’m feeling. Like I’m soooooo hyped for this game and I want to inhale every scrap of information out there, but at the same time I want to be surprised and I don’t want to spoil it all for myself before I can even get my hands on it.
Same
I'm glad that I'm not the only one feeling this, lol.
Awesome preview! 😊👍

Yo, congrats to Zeltik. This is such a fantastic achievement for him and his channel; a full opportunity to preview a headline Nintendo game is wild!
Very excited for this, but also nervous about the frame rate drops. The forest glade in BotW was really rough and I'm hoping that it's not as bad as it looks in some of the combat footage here
A newer Switch model could solve this, if they plan on doing one
The bit I'm most nervous about is that there might be a new console soon(ish) and you'll almost certainly have to buy the game all over again to be able to play it on the new console, if only for the better performance.
that's what I'm really worried about... i don't know if it's a video editing issue, but the combat section at the tower looked really really choppy... I hope they implement dynamic resolution scaling at the very least
Korok Forest*
Yeah this is a problem. I don't get why Nintendo limits themselves so much with their hardware, but then want to make giant deeply detailed software like these new Zelda games. It literally makes no sense and is SO FRUSTRATING. Like dude, if you want to make these amazing huge games, just fucking make a console that is capable of more than PS3 level performance.
When you look at the state of gaming in every circle other than Nintendo, you wonder why they insist on making such shitty consoles....
That's amazing man! Thank you for sharing it with us!
This is amazing and I can’t wait for the game to be released this video really gives us a feel for the new abilities and gameplay of the game and the different aspects to “completing” it ❤ I hope for more storyline like botw to,with perhaps cutscenes and interesting new occurring events as we already know there will be
I've seen a lot of people making videos about their experience with this demo, however I can confidently say yours is not only the most polished and streamlined, as well as the most fun to watch!! I wish I could subscribe again to you!!
Completely agree! This was an extremely professional video.
definitely a work made with lots of love ❤
The new abilities look awesome! I do find myself wondering what I am going to do without the bomb rune. Running away from groups of silver bokoblins and dropping bombs to cover my trail was how I got through many combat encounters.
Imagine bomb flowers come back
@@Glitchyy07I hope so that would be insane
@@Glitchyy07 they are back! I read your comment then went over to Nintendo primes channel and they went to the same type of demo event and fused them to an arrow
