Edit: it's unclear whether or not the E3 2021 Construct is actually a Ranger - it could just as easily be a different, bigger version! What do you think?

The Golem and the ranger seem to be very different to me. The ranger has almost a dinosaur-ish body to me. Like a yoshi with a base instead of legs.
The golem has those earring things going on and the front view looks very different to me.
I get a mini-boss vibe from the golem one, maybe a Talus-type enemy?

What I'm thinking is that Link is on the ground and might be waking up with a ranger standing close and over him looking down, which is why it looks so much larger than what we've seen with the other on the islands. As to what knocked him out, I can only guess that it was the islands lifting or something to do with the hand.

They look like they could possibly be made of copper, the outside of which has oxidized due to long contact with rain, while the inside is still shiny orange. What a beautiful design. My personal theory is that the Zonai, while being a similar tribe to the Sheikah, is actually an older one in itself mainly devoted to the worship of the Goddess(es?) or were a tribe of lesser gods themselves. They seem more priest like in devotion (given that their architecture and land is inspired off of Japanese Shrines, while the Shiekah is more closely inspired by the Shinobi.) As said in the video, they have had this ancient advanced technology from the time Hylia fought Demise, and could have even been the ones responsible for the construction of the tower of the Gods (or even the flooding of Hyrule). The Interlopers could also have been an offshoot of the Zonai from given that the timing lines up and the design of the fused shadow is reminiscent of the design of these constructs. If anything we at least know they were responsible for constructing the 3 holy springs in BOTW, and by extension the first 3 temples in Skyward sword. I know there are a few holes in my theory considering the lore said they were a barbaric tribe, and I admit its kinda a "if we don't know who, then the Zonai did it" theory, but a lot of things seem to line up a bit too well.

That seems really funny because i have had this theory for a long time that zelda has 3 magic energies: spirit, magic/mind and body energy. Body makes up the body, spirit is the amount of mana capacity a thing has and the magic/mind provides the ability to cast magic. Think about it. Wolf link is transformed using a red/black stone to transform in wolf link. Link does have a stamina meter. The champions spirits are green but their abilities can be earned by link. The spirit defines the soul of the object, the mind its (magic) abilities and its body energy the body. Malice then would be literally body energy but it isn't red you would say. Yes its more dark pink/ purplish. Red with dark. Dark in zelda is malice like we see in skywards sword. In other words malice is hatred incarnated. It would explain why the master sword needs these tree. How the champions control the divine beasts. It would explain why the twili magic wielding people can use their technology without interfaces. How link can charge the sheikah slate but zelda not. Because i believe spirit energy is like mana it regenerates but people only have a certain amount. Hell even the enemy twili in TP have red in their heads after being transformed by Zant's power he had gotten by Ganondorf a shape shifting magician. I have been telling people for the past 3 years that likely the sheikah existed out of 3 clans. Each one focused on one of the powers. The sheikah from botw focused on the mind energy/blue sheikah energy. The Yiga whose art and combat style are drawned from the older styles of OoT and some extra are likely those who study th ody energy. And the Zonai are the ones who studied the actual magic/green spirit energy. And what is a Golem its stone brought to life with a spirit. Thats how alchemy defines it. It has a literal soul. It basically proves part of my theory.

The shiekah tech looked great, but the Zonai tech looks _incredible._ The teal-grean mosaic stone, the ring patterns laced with energy, stacking eyes and mouths like a jumbled totem pole, it's so original! Character design was always my favorite thing in the Zelda series and they're knocking this out of the park.

2:15 I do not think these two are the same. They look subtly, but noticably different to me. The one from the trailer has orange hands, has nowhere near as many neck pieces/neck is shorter, the collar looks different and in a slightly different place, the “shoulder pieces” with the white blooms on them have Sheikah eyes dangling off, and the face doesn’t protrude nearly as much. They may be the same “class” of Construct but I do not think these two things are the same.
The more I look at it, I see tiny little differences that are EXTREMELY SIMILAR but different. The two blooms on the one from gameplay can’t be seen on the trailer one. The trailer one’s collar with the symbol looks to be a stone texture in the trailer, and is a metal texture in the gameplay. The hands are visibly orange in the trailer, if they’re orange in the gameplay I can’t tell. You know what it looks like to me? It looks like these guys got changed a bit between whenever the trailer was filmed vs whenever Eiji filmed the gameplay. Either that, or maybe there are Rangers that look slightly different but are the same class? Maybe disrepair or something? It gives the impression that at the difference of the Sheika, the Zonai's technology wasn't developed to be used for weapons, but more concentrated on restoration and protection. While at the same time, considerating the similarities between both Sheikah and Zonai's cores, and difference between the designs of the constructs and guardians... it could imply that the Sheikah developed their technology by using the Zonai's as a reference.

The intentions of the Zonai doing so (housing their souls inside robots to protect their power/land), are still unknown, as well as their involvement with (maybe) sealing Ganon. @Loop_Kat Před rokem +6

I'm really starting to wonder how all the energy sources tie together, tbh. As you said, the Zonai constructs may be powered directly by Zonai life force energy or by the souls of the dead that reside in (processed) luminous stones. Considering the mystery of the Zonai's sudden disappearance and how much luminous stone is shown to be underground in Tears of the Kingdom, it really makes you wonder if _all_ those stones are the collective energy of _all_ the Zonai who died or perhaps even sacrificed themselves. Maybe all those lost souls _are_ the titular "tears of the kingdom", countless live given (or taken) for an unknown cause, the fall of an entire kingdom
And, considering the similarities between the Zonai Charge and Giant Ancient Cores, you have to wonder if Sheikah tech also utilizes the energy of the dead or, potentially, an equally dubious substitute. We've heard numerous theories about how their technology strives to mimic the sacred power of the gods, but we also know the Sheikah are no stranger to dark practices in other games such as torture or creating Redeads, as well as performing living mummification on themselves in BotW. Perhaps part of the reason Ganondorf was able to control the Guardians and Divine Beasts so easily is because they were never really "divine" to begin with
So many interesting questions and I truly hope the game doesn't shy away from giving us some unsettling answers
