Hey Josh, can you recommend me which laptop should I buy? I am a secondary student. I am really interested in Data Science. I always use Excel, Jupyter Notebook, Pycharm, but I don't play games. I need around 14 or 13 inch but not 15 that is too large. My budget is under 1000$. I think ASUS is the best laptop brand for me because of its vivobooks like S14 Oled or so on. Can you advice me with that?

I didn’t know about tilting until this video and it explains sooooo much. I’ve noticed lately that when playing a certain game, I’ll start rushing and making mistakes because I just want to win; when I come back refreshed and in the mood, the challenge becomes super easy. So, that’s my new goal: if I’m playing just to win, it’s time to step away.

Best option on a budget, as you said, is to buy a tablet and a keyboard. A samsung phone with dex and a portable monitor is too expensive.

HP laptop reliability is questionable. Would never buy again based on crappy quality. Keyboard buttons damaged, peeling off plastic and battery died less than year of use. Glad I still had 1 year warranty from warranty.

I would appreciate any input from anybody. I am going to be purchasing a new MacBook. I am coming from a 2017 MacBook Pro with an Intel chip. My main purpose is music production, and I have ran into loads of difficulty with my current specs. I run a few peripherals like a usb midi controller, an ssd, Logic Pro with 20-50 tracks running at once , and I open Google if needed. My goal is to be able to produce music seamlessly, hoping to have enough memory bandwidth to also run an hdmi cable to a monitor (this was an issue in the past) I am confident I want an m3 pro MacBook Pro. Any recommendations?

Generally only a RAM upgrade is good. But how mac uses SSD for swap always do an upgrade of RAM along with SSD upgrade to make full use of the RAM upgrade.

I immediately installed Win 11 Pro and VS Code to my Vivobook that came today. It was a breeze, no hiccups at all. It took probably less than 10 minutes all in all (including a couple of VS Code extensions); much less than taking the laptop to use in the first place.

The Ideapad line has some of the most horrid build quality. I have not seen a single one without broken hinges and a scored screen.

Hi, I know I'm late to the party on this, but I just picked up a 2023 Slim (Yoga) Pro 9i on clearance and I am looking for a portable charger for it. I don't see the links to the ones you recommend, but it looks like a Ugreen? I was hoping for a compact 65 W charger, but I'll get 100W if necessary. Also curious what cables you're using, as I've read the 9i can be picky about those as well. Thanks for the great videos!

Definitely waiting to see if Alienware up their game regarding displays in 2025. They seem to be amongst the best value at the moment, which is odd given their history, and are just being let down by the screens IMHO

As a prior Windows user, and a current and long-time Linux user, and a very soon-to-be Mac user (again) I will say that before I even watched this video I am stating everyone needs to move away from Microsoft, and especially their Windows products for computing. Everyone. Yes, every person and business. There is no reason (in 2024) to let Microsoft advertise to you, change system settings, update your computer without your permission, and worst of all IMHO steal your data, and sell it to third parties or use it for their own advertising and whatever else they use it for. It's not good, any of it. I trust Apple far more (now) than I trust Microsoft. My daily computer is desktop Linux (Mint and Arch). Mint is fantastic for things to - just work. Arch is fun if you like to tinker. Mac is great for high quality hardware and software that typically - just works, too. I am waiting for my replacement MacBook Air M3 to ship from Amazon. Come on Amazon, get it in stock to ship to me pleaseeeeee. Oh, and yes, I game through Steam on Linux. Some tinkering may be required to get some games to work, but it's not all that difficult. There are plenty of sites/blogs/videos showing how to do it.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 900 Home and love it. I made a special carrying bag and use it for travel, but it is too big for planes. This computer is roughly a half inch too big in each direction. I am willing to risk it, but I wish it was barely smaller. I hate laptops.

Does the model in this video have a mini-LED or an IPS screen? Slightly worried that mini-LED one will have a bad battery life. But if you say this model has a respectable battery life & has a mini-LED screen, then I feel good about going with that screen type. Enjoying your channel the most of any laptop review channel Ive found! Great stuff.

Strange. Your battery life seems to defer from other reviews. They show the Q425 getting better battery life than all except Apple.

I don't think this guy put the GPU in the Nvidia dedicated mode and only had it in the auto or in the integrated mode. That's one pro and con about this laptop is that it can't be used like this.

If it's not upgadable it's not worth buying and it's anti-repair and anti-green.
