My friend get off of the Californian stuff! I've been in the trucking industry and now retired. FedEx before that was Viking freight. Part of Silicon Valley and many of the electronic devices, and advances,you use are devised and created here in California. That cell phone and everything else you seem to use, and appreciate California gets its mark. I guarantee you I won't move to Oklahoma. As much as people complain about our fires here and costing money, I'm tired of building homes a blow away every year. All that advance items that you use now not having to call dispatch and everything else with your GPS was probably a fixation started here in California. I guarantee you it didn't start in Oklahoma

Wow, I just love the fact i got to see life before and after CZcams. I been driving professionally for over 30 years, driven tankers, dry vans, flatbed, but this is my first time ever seeing how double and triples are hooked and unhooked. Thank you Chuck for making this video and CZcams for allowing chuck to share this with the masses.

Hi Chuck! I know you don’t really do the CZcams videos anymore but I’d like to thank you! You and my brother inspired me to take the leap and I just got hired on at Estes and will be going thru the dock to driver program!

With a sleeper cab and 53 ft trailer is very hard to blind side backing up a truck

Those pallet jacks are nice, we used to carry a pallet drag. Most customers had a 5 gallon bucket full of chain settin by the door. That back winder sure helps on the blindsidin.

Yup that is true… I did the dock and they send me to their school for Cdl.. Estes is a great company..

What time do you go to work?

Doing LTL P&D in Boston,MA or in MA in general makes you want to unalive yourself. Too much BS to deal with and too risky. I went back OTR

Thankfully all our gears have the handle to turn and don’t have to really lift them as much. But hey good job driver. Sometimes they can be stubborn to hookup especially if you get a bad glad hand connection. We have several that are so old it ain’t funny

Backing was hard in Laredo tx it made a backer out of me at those shippers and receivers there
