My channel is about all forms of gold prospecting and gold mining. I use my videos to teach panning, drywashing, high banking, dredging and metal detecting. i also manufacture some propecting and mining equipment that makes looking for gold just a little easier. I try to show the gold I find in videos where we are actually using the equipment and showing its operation. I have prospecting and mining gold for about 30 years and have mined in California, Arizona, Oregon, Wyoming and South Dakota. I belong to the Roarunner Prospectors Club in Arizona where I am on the board of directors. We have about 1250 members in the club and my videos are used on their website for information and training. I also do claims marking, claims maintenance and where to find gold on the claims.
My main objective with my channel is to teach where to find gold and how to use the equipment to find it. I do this by using the equipment myself and telling what I am doing and why. Then show the results .

How Gold Prospectors Start a Camp Fire in Rain and Snow
We typically will prospect for gold when is wet, snowy or cold. A lot of times it is very hard to start a small fire to keep warm. I show how to make inexpensive fire starters that ca be used in all of the above. Thanks fro watching,How gold prospectors start a camp fire in rain and snow.

Thank you sir from a fellow Roadrunner. What a coincidence i'm looking up this subject and here you go! Thanks again!!!
Thank you for searching and finding my channel. come back again.
Great idea chuck very cool thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Glad you came by and found the video useful. If the temps ever go down there will more prospecting vids.
@@CandSMINING I hear that it’s not fit out for man nor beast
@@48thstateprospecting Right on brother, unless you get up at 3am and are out in the gold field by 4am then work until 7:30 am
@@CandSMINING which is impossible for me because I start work at 3:00 am now to do concrete and try and beat the heat lol
Love my solar generators too they are great. I use them all the time out there!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Pretty cool idea
Thanks Ron glad this video was of some use for you. Found my Ferro Rod, so I may do a short video of it in action.
Very clever idea! Yes this would be very useful for starting fires. Thanks Chuck
Still trying to be creative and useful with the videos. Thanks for coming by Tom.
👍Very informative and professionally narrated. Will try this way. Thanks Chuck. Frank
Thanks Frank, glad you enjoyed and found this video useful. Come back anytime.
I just use a roadflare... any wet wood 🪵 will start 😉
sounds like a great idea. I prefer the cotton pad starters. They burn hot and waterproof in any weather
Oh man this is must see TV! Never a bad time of the year to learn this stuff! Make mine from- Dollar store cotton balls Dollar store Vaseline Dollar store Jel fire starter stuff Formula is like 75% gel liquid 25% Vaseline Bam they work great but ya know what? I going to do the same but with the lighter fluid that's a great idea and the cotton balls will soak it up the lighter fluid faster than the gel I use.
I watched your last video and it gave me the idea of the cotton pad fire starter. I use fire starters in my wood burner all winter. Thanks for watching brother. Glad you liked the video.
Pray for all in the 2024 election
Great to see the different gear and get ideas for other options.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my video. Greatly appreciated brother.
Nice setup, Chuck. It will likely serve you well. Btw, my neighbor has a LION solar power home system. He really likes it and pays no electricity bill. 💸 Adding up your load and sizing your system is good stuff.. I always double the amount I think I need. Once you begin to generate your own power, you will find more stuff to plug into the fountain of electrons. 😂 12 volts x 3 amps = 36 watts Voltage x Amperage = Watts Just in case.. 😊 Good work, sir Peace Prospector Tripp
Thanks PT, glad you enjoyed the video. I do remember that formula from my basic electricity in the military. I did a course on solar, from Siemens, when had their own panels. Never got to use that information, went into commercial electrical construction. Thanks for your support brother, stay safe and blessed.
Prospector Tripp invests a lot of knowledge and equipment in power generation. You're right Chuck, his small steps lead him to success 👍🤠
Thanks PT you were the inspiration for this one.
Sorry Peter, your post showed up as PT, ???
@@CandSMINING No Chuck, I just wanted to support your last words. I watched your video until the end, as good friends should. It's always difficult for me to write the sentences that make sense in the translator. I appreciate you.

👍Nice RV set up Chuck you do have some awesome toys. Always good to have a solar generator as they call them in case of emergencies. Great video have a good week.
Thanks for dropping in Frank. It seems like all of the toys create work.
Those are nice.
Thanks Ron, a little pricey but have long lives. They can run the equipment.
Been hot and muggy here but not that bad. No time to make a trip
June in Arizona was the hottest since 1800's. July is starting out just as bad.
Really good idea. We got a small lithium battery for ours but definitely like this one better. Great video.
I was envious of that Lithium battery that you use. Still have the group 27, but don't want to use it.
Thank you for always thinking of us “normal” prospectors and giving hints and tricks we may not think of. Blessings to you and Sheryal!
Not sure thee is any such thing as a normal prospector, but you two are as close as you can get to normal

I hate scrapers they are just dumb! I saw a scraper get 400 bucks for a truck load of new heavy equipment pins worth $40+ each maybe $20k in pins "smart">>>scrap the tripod but save the transit? Makes scenes we have a thinker here. You dummys find things worth 10 times the scrap price yet you take them apart and separate matched sets and get 20cents for an item that was worth hundreds. This is why you live in dumpsters.
So interesting to watch your videos! Almost like the TV show “How It’s Made”! Keep them coming!!
Too hot to prospect, so I take things apart and keep things out of the landfill. Thanks for watching Julie.
Very interesting. Hope someone takes it. Stay cool
Hey Tom been over 100 every day for a week. So I don't know about staying cool. Thanks for coming by Tom. How is the camper coming along?

Thanks for watching, I really don't want to scrap it if someone else would like it.
@@CandSMINING I wonder what the shipping costs would be to Nova Scotia Canada?
@@AMProspecting I would need at least a zip for Nova Scotia where you live
I reckon I’m the only one besides you that watches your channel, that would know how to operate it lol. (If not speak up please 😬) I learned on a transit before they made laser levels and most of the laser levels can’t shoot a 90 degree angle like a transit can. And all the newer ones have fiberglass legs I haven’t seen Wooden legs forever. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼 p.s. what diameter are those wooden dowels?
Thanks for the continued support. Most people now can't operate either one. Thanks again for showing up and commenting.

hey Frank, glad you stopped by. I really don't care if I ever remove plastic again.

You might be into some beryllium there!
maybe, the one insulator broke but no dust 🤔
Learn how to spell.
Very interesting video and supposedly (hard to find a straight answer) they sometimes mix beryllium with the ceramic insulators and they are the pink ones. However it’s always better to believe all of them are beryllium and be cautious while breaking them down so you don’t break the insulator and possibly expose yourself. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Thanks for watching and commenting on this one. All you said is right on. I know another scrapper who wraps the insulators with painters tape as a precaution.
👍Chuck you have a wealth of knowledge on types of metal. Learn something with each video. Thanks. Frank
Thanks Frank, I have learned much over the years. Time to share and try to make it interesting.

Great video. Good brass and easy copper. Nice work.
Thanks Tom. Not a lot of red brass around anymore. Red brass has more copper mixed with the yellow brass, so it's more costly. Thanks for watching.

Great scrapping Chuck!
Thanks again for coming by and watching the video.
This isn't true, the most money is not to do it as the time spent is not worth the money you make.
I guess I must disagree. The material is free and the little time it takes is my free time anyhow. Plus we keep mountains of long term scrap out of the landfills. WIN WIN WIN.
Be wary of the capacitors they hold charge and bite hello from Australia, the cyclotrons make for interesting projects in resonance ,don't try this at home good folks.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on this video. You are correct that capacitors hold a charge and for a long time. Discharge to the metal frame to be safe
Right on! Im guessing all is recylable minus the glass?
Right you are, glass and the scrappers worst enemy, PLASTIC
