Still got an hour left and looking forward to the rest but commenting early because I just have to say how amazing the cats look, and also share the frustration when it comes to being able to sell pets. I'm wondering if its because its an apartment lot and not residential? One of my mod ideas is to "add the ability to use the sell/give pet interaction on other lots like community lots or when you're playing as another household and have made the sim selectable" so perhaps that would need applying to apartments too, but its interesting that you did have the give pet interaction available🤔

I think when you want to sell a pet to another sim, it will show up under "Sales..." in the pie menu, but giving pet away for free is under propose? At least from what I can remember

Ooooh, I have to get those cat whiskers! Also, there hardly being any people out because it's cold seems pretty realistic, at least as far as the library/store goes. That's pretty much how it goes here in Norway, unless it's a ski-trip or a bar and then there's no such thing as bad weather 😂😅

love all your videos, i binged this whole series and the downtown videos too this spring. you have a knack for storytelling and i love how you come up with backstories for all the sims. btw i think it was a good call to make lucy a bit younger! also both lilith and angela are popularity sims, aren't they?

do they usually not have whiskers...how did i not notice. so many cats, i love them! i adopted a cat for a sim family recently and didn't notice it was an elder so the grim reaper coming out of nowhere was a surprise... normally i age them down so i get more time with them. I love kittens and puppies in this game they are so tiny. lmao bella in the hospital gown, she needs to party. i really like the bar/club lot.

As I was rewatching this I just wanted to note that you can make the rotatable driveways work with the park in the car park mod. They just can’t be in your downloads folder at the same time. So, when you build, you put only the rotatable driveways in, and when you’re done, you just swap it for the park in the car park mod. This way you can have rotated driveways and the sims will still park in them! Also I think someone on MTS made the vanilla garage doors rotatable as well

I’ve been binge watching this series all day and absolutely love it! 1. Your builds are GORGEOUS - all of them, the homes, the ‘business’ lots, everything 2. I love the way you’re playing with the nursery and schools - I couldn’t do it because I’m way too impatient and can’t be bothered to go to the effort but I’m loving watching you play this way! It’s really refreshing. 3. I have no idea how your game didn’t crash, my game starts to throw a wobbly when I get more than 8 sims on my lots (and most of the time, even getting to a community lot!) I can’t wait to continue binge watching 🤩

I didn't expect Cyd and his dog to be coming up at this point (I was having bets of them being last to be honest. Guess I need to reroll to see which family will be last...) But it was a pleasant surprise. Our single man who'd rather take a dog over a person. I can relate to that a lot.

No need to apologise for recording without sound, it happens you recovered it excellently, I dread the day it happens to me! Cyd seems like an interesting guy, feel like I’ve missed out not playing him yet! Well, not properly at least, he was actually the very first sim I ever experienced playing with, a friend showed me the game for the first time with Cyd, we didn't even speak the same language at the time so we really muddled through but it was enough to make me fall in love with the game and want it for myself! So I guess I have a bit of a soft spot for him. I love the idea of him training other peoples dogs. Btw, Simler90 has a ‘Chinese Food Eat Faster Mod’ under their ‘Food Mods’ because yeah its weirdly slow otherwise😂

Cyd is a fun guy haha I love the idea of the daycare, it would be great for the dogs to have dog friends, and sims who own pets to get to know eachother. Maybe it can have a small pet shop attached with some simple pet items. I'm very on board with this :D

You know its so strange, I’m typically not that into machinma series, I think because I usually watch CZcams while I’m eating, I struggle to give undivided attention to the subtitles for very long, yet they’re the highlight of these episodes for me❤ I also really like how you portray and play around Lilith’s vibe. God it annoys me so much that they stop interactions when their fun need is full, the more fun mod is absolutely essential for me! I always love to see you work around little issues you have like the hilarious situation of Dirk not being able to sit down then squeezing in the middle😂 excited for the next as always ❤

Ohh, the drama major/fitness enthusiasm makes me think that he could be a professional stuntman who specializes in dogs training for cop movies like "Commissar Rex" or something. The main character there even looks kinda similar 🐕‍🦺👮 Porthos is not much of a police dog though 🤣

I really liked this episode. Don't think to much about the mute part, it happens, you managed it. But I know the dissapoinment of playing a day again because of game crashing without a resent save. Cyd and Portos are a great pair to play, looking forward to your point of doing it. I really like the idea of the community lot for dogtraining. here in germany these places are called "hundesportplatz" like dogs-sport-place. And you can go there with your own dog and train it yourself, but there are specialist there to guide you or answer your questions/help you out. Great episode as always!

Sims get interest points based on what hobby they do. Cyd was cooking/eating so that's why he got some cuisine. Free time hobbies affect interests.

I've got Cyd in my Belladonna Cove; he's into surfing, and inherited an overpriced beach house on the bay - I actually turned him into a werewolf, completely forgot he came with the pets expansion when I did that haha. It makes sense, though, he gives off loner vibes in my hood, too. Losing audio, or entire video segments must be frustrating, you handled it with much more grace than I would have - but that's a part of recording - It doesn't bother me one bit, Im just happy for another episode ❤

Love your take on Cyd. In a old neighborgh that I had he was like the town jerk and ended killed by all of my playables with the cow-plant haha

Oh nice to see Cyd included in downtown! Excited to see what you do with him. I don't know if you use custom careers but there's a sims 1 to sims 2 animal care career. I've used that for him before. I swear I had an animal training one specifically but ii must have lost it somewhere... Athletic makes so much sense for him though. Cyd's little apartment turned out really nice. I've had the same struggle with that OSMP, it's so hard to grab. Porthos is flooding the ground floor apartment lmao, the sims on the ground floor are probably wondering what the smell is, perhaps Cyd won't be that popular with his new neighbours haha. An animal shelter rehabilitating animals with behavioral issues to make them adoptable maybe? I guess then the other sims could adopt them already housebroken and non destructive. Your video is making me consider a lot more options for him than when I play him myself lol. Thanks for another great video!

I know firsthand how disappointing it is when you've been talking and making some really good points only to realize... your mic is muted. You're better than I am because I would probably have just saved and done a full voice over episode 😂 It definitely didn't bother me either way so no need to apologize! I love these Downtown episodes. I may have said this before but it is so fun to see you come up with these new Sim's storylines on the fly. Cyd used to be one of my favorite Sims in an old Pleasantview save. He married Heather Huffington from SSU and they had a daughter named Meagan, she was so beautiful! Can't wait to see more of Cyd in your game. ♥

I like the doggy daycare idea! Or like a training/socialization class multiple pets go to. He could definitely work his way up through dog sitter and walker stuff on an individual basis.

i have a few episodes to catch up on but had to watch my fav girl Lilith first, Ophelia is probably a favourite too though lol so two great characters this episode! I was just playing on this house from you and noticed the stairs thing, didn't think to add a wall there to solve the problem, the Gavigan's love the house though. Ophelia's new place looks really cute, you really make the most of the small rooms! I love the girls being in a band

ophelia, my beloved! aw, i’m so happy for her and johnson. their old house was so adorable, but i’m happy to see them upgrade to something bigger! cosette is such an adorable name, and i have no doubt that she’ll be beautiful (aramis is such a cutie pie, i adore him!) lilith … *sigh* i’m rooting for her, always. so disheartening to see her struggle, but it’s very realistic! i can’t lie, i find myself getting anxious by how much she’s putting off telling angela about hope’s father. i can only imagine how anxious it makes her! i truly hope that angela can find it within herself to not be too angry with her sister; i’d really hate to see their relationship nosedive yet again! but it’d also be very understandable if she was angry. ricky did a real number on her, so it would make a world of sense for her to be upset that her sister slept with him and conceived a child from it. lilith’s obvious favoritism towards adrianna was very funny, but ophelia does make a good point. lilith didn’t have to be so harsh with the people who took the time out of their day to audition. hopefully their band and the upcoming venture they take on will be worthwhile and lucrative for them; and hopefully lilith learns to be cooperative with her bandmates. wonderful episode, as usual! i’ve always had such a soft spot for lilith and ophelia, so seeing them get a combined episode really made my day!

I am a simple man: I see Ani and Lilith in the video - I click 😅 Love seeing Lilith have a decent life having fixed those important relations, good for her! The bar/club is so grungy and rock'n'roll, simply awesome 🤟 But the pinnacle for me is the audition - OMG, it was sooo coooool 🤘🤘 Especially the aspiring kid wanting to be a rockstar, I guess Lils can sympathize with that, even if she's being a brat upfront. Though, ngl, a 10k loan looks really intimidating, this has such a great potential storywise. Can't wait to see what you do with it 👀 As for the band name, I immediately thought of the real existing band called "Drowning Pool", since in Hamlet, Ophelia ends up drowning. Lilith's name sort of resembles water lily as well. Perhaps, "Drowning Nymph"? You know, as a reference to what Hamlet called Ophelia in the story and as a poetic description of what Lilith currently goes through with all the loans and other hardships 😅

Aniiiii what can I say about this video that hasn't already been said - ahMAZING. I forget all of the fun little thoughts I had as I watched this, but here are some of the thoughts I had: - I LOVE that hospital! Such a great design, and you could easily add a third floor or half of a third floor if you needed more room for something like a maternity wing or something. Super fun! - I LOVE how many of your sims have had failed relationships haha, especially the romance sims. I feel like this is something I still need to get better at with my own gameplay - messy sim lives, messy storylines, failed relationships. Yes. The Tea is hot in Strangetown! - I really love the slightly different aesthetic you have going on in this hood compared to your Pleasantview, and how unified the designs of the houses are in the different areas. I love the idea of adding the "curious towers" to the science centre too, that was a great touch! Your builds are so good!! - That Loner boy is absolutely adorable, you're totally correct. Ajay Loner actually has some great genes. - The University mods you linked and the post you referenced are great. I'm always looking for ideas to speed up University but still kind of feel like I'm enjoying it, and even just playing one semester for each "year" on normal speed does sound like a great idea. That "no time passes on college community lots" mod does sound intriguing but I'd have to see if it works with my version of community lot time, which obviously you don't use - that would be something to look into though! Thank you for this update :) If you decided to film any of your builds for this hood and release as speed builds, I would love that, but I also totally get wanting to keep a hood a bit more "off camera" too. ❤👌
