New to Hobonichi and I'm loving my planner! I love your use of layouts--where did you get that ruler from? I searched scalloped edged ruler and I'm just getting awful looking paper tearing rulers.

I loved how minimal and functional the spread is❤ I started using hobonichi weeks for work this year and I still havent reached a stage where I like it and your video really inspired me to try new things I also dont know how I feel about the Alister method. I like the idea of having my all to dos for the week that arent assigned to a specific day written on the right section but I dont ever cross them out until I review the list at the end of the week so it feels kinda unused. Excited to see how you will develop the right section in the next video❤

A very nice and functional spread as usual. 👍I bought a scalloped edge ruler after seeing you use it, the scalloped lines add such a nice touch. 〰💛I appreciate that you also share what didn't work. (Also, the audio issues from the last video are gone. 🔈✅) Alastair method never really clicked for me either, so now I just write tasks into the daily boxes or put the first few letters of the day next to a completed task. I do this only if it is important to know what day a certain task was done, as I've realised that for a lot of tasks I don't really need this information.

I wanted to comment on your channel and specifically this video to thank you for such exceptional content!! I have been watching multiple you tube videos on planning, using a planner, and ways to use the Hobonichi. Your layouts have provided much needed guidance on how to use the weekly as a powerful tool for professional growth. Thank you for helping become more focused and using the tools available in the planner for more than just stickers and photos!!! I just spent the afternoon, using the spare pages of my current work weekly to document different layouts. I have a new job starting in two weeks, and I thought this would be a good time to use the extra week pages and note pages of my weekly to document layouts that I’ve not used, but might want to share with my kids (they all use planners, now) or myself, should the need arise. Then I saw this video about mid year goal review, and it was like a firecracker went off in my head!! I’d never used your trackers on my weekly layouts, but as I was making them in my “maybe someday” templates, I started to think and write down ways to use them for my work “goals”, and your goal review session was the best one I have seen in many CZcams videos. I’ve always preferred your layouts and other planning videos because you seemed to come from a much more practical approach than many other planner content creators. Thank you for helping me grow, and I truly hope you are thriving in your world. I only see 5 comments on this video, and I am stunned, as I felt awakened and inspired by the ease at which I can use this to reach my someday goals.

You could use a sticky lint roller on your Ane pouch to remove the fur. I use it all the time on my bags and planner covers that collect lint and dust.

I do not judge others with their planners, there are different type of planners out there. There are functional planners who use pen and color inks only; there are journal writers; there are the snickering fanatics that like to fill books with weekly sticker kits; or like you that use stickers and washi tape sparingly. Then there are those who use common place books, and bullet journals. To each their own. Just as long as someone is not spending what they do not have, and they are happy with their system, i think it is okay. I do have empty planners from the past, and guess what if you google ‘when can I use YYYY calendar again?’ You can get the next year that planner is usable,and your financial situation may have changed, your favorite planner company went belly up… you never know. However, since 2024 is a leap year, it is a long wait, until 2052ish. So, I made sure to gift the overstock of ones I decided not to use to my sister and grown nieces who are studying. There is a family member that had a stroke and I gave them some old Hobonichi A6 books to practice their handwriting in for therapy. I like to compartmentalize my planners, so I have 5. I took out 3 weeks this year, to put two in a TN Standard size notebook inserts. The health and Fitness one and my financial planner. Then my Hon cousin with the cat cover is for work, in the 1000 Sunny leather cover. Since I hope to start looking soon, which is after my husband returns to DK and I look for work here in the US. Then I have two TN notebooks, the A6 I have running task lists going in it. I do not care if I am carrying over tasks from day to day, they will sink in they have to be done or deleted after a few days, and the B6 I am using for my common place book. I also bought a second cousin this year in the Avec to try memory planning. If that falls off, I will sell the 2nd half in the spring, or give it to one of my family members. I also got the Hon for One Piece, may use that as a reading diary of the manga that I read. I have a 2 almost 3 year old Inuyasha weeks that I use for my Nintendo play diary. Right now I am playing Fae Farm.
