Not sure i agree with you. The ipad won’t be ahead again of the macbook because the macs will transition too to the m4. The m4 is the ai focused platform, the ipad will just make the jump first on a hardware side because i also don’t think they will announce any new ios feature before wwdc! So basically all new hardware will more or less make the ai jump on the same time

Got my base Mac studio for 1799, so no brainer.

The prices of the New IPads will probably keep sales low because of inflation and households not having the extra cash to spend now days … now if they can drop prices of other iPads from Air down that would boost sales to offset of Ipad pros … $150 to $175 would be a good place for price drops.

I just got mine last week and I am absolutely loving this watch! The battery life is incredible, the display can actually be used and you can actually see what’s what. I took the 800.00 dollar plunge and I don’t regret it. Get it!

Seems like in terms of performance and form factor the more apt comparison would have been against the 13 inch Macbook Air. I'd like to see that comparison, although I suspect the value proposition of the iPad Pro would fare even worse against the Macbook Air, so maybe not worth it.

I think the iPad event will focus on the hardware improvement, while Apple's AI announcement would still be done in WWDC, as I think they would reveal the AI features for the entire Apple ecosystem rather than just a product segment.

Have been hearing about the near-Pro capabilities of Air for years now. Have finally decided to give one a try (arriving today). What sold me was someone else's review that said if you don't have graphic design or intensive video needs, the Air will suit you fine. Of course, your video offers worthy perspectives as well. Bro. You’re kidding me. I’ve had my AirPod Max about 3 years also. The biggest disappointment is blue tooth connectivity. I’m surprised that you didn’t mention that pain in the ass. My Beats connect flawlessly. However the plastic pieces fall apart like a cheap watch.

Just been through this. I simply don't need the sustained performance (don't video edit) - mainly use it for software dev/console server access and writing docs, have a USB hub for the rare occasions I need additional ports, don't listen to music on it much (have an Alexa and airpods if I want better sound). Suffice to say, I'm typing this on my new M3 Air.

Yeah, I got one I went and did the demo I was blown away. I had to walk out of the Apple Store have two cigarettes and call my boss and my aunt. They all said you have the money what’s the problem? It is the best purchase I ever got I haven’t even touched my computer since, my money and did and I love it. No regrets.

I came from the 12 pro max , to a 15 plus. It is better quality, view for the screen. I am picture person , so taking it back tomorrow for the 15 pro max . Awesome video !!

Great video dude! I have just purchased one of these and have these weird smudge/marks I can see when the screen is black? Is this normal? Kinda looks like when you get some bubbles in a screen protector. Mac is like 2 weeks old if that.

It seems to me Apple wants to sell Computer Games and Apple TV, videos and Films. A passive device for entertainment. Apple then relies on hired software that ends up exceeding the cost of the hardware each year. Put Tim Cook in charge of software, and make it number one priority. Upgrade pages to Publisher. Give writers, teachers, illustrators and graphic designers a professional App. I find Microsoft archaic, and for nerds, not artists and visual thinkers. I left Microsoft for Apple, and desktop for touch screen, because it naturally works better for visual design. Give us a simple to use Pro Device.

Maybe I'll stop listening to guesses of what might be, and wait for reality. Will Apple give me a free graphic upgrade to pages, so I can again do what I used to with my older iPad Pros using Apples free Publisher. We keep getting hardware upgrades and the software goes backwards.

It could have a rocket engine and cost $10,000 and it would make no difference without MacOS upgrade, except it's just an expensive piece of hardware. Apple makes its profits from selling hardware but it's software has been lagging in current years so the total value for the higher price is no longer a good deal right now.

Agree with some comments. Unless there's full MacOS support, I'm not interested. Imagine an iPad that you can use as a regular Mac. Use it as a tablet when disconnected from a keyboard/mouse, use it as a Mac when connected. Plus be able to fully utilize an external monitor. And please no weird SSD/file transfer speed limitations.

I tried the Beats, and the Transparency mode is so trash, compared to AirPods Pro Gen 1 and 2. It will make it hard to hear anything and everything.

A bit surprising...they would normally release those new chips with a macbook or mac. Probably will not be much more powerful than the M3...just with this AI feature stuff.

The advantage of Siri running on device or I should say Siri AI is that with the M4 chip it’ll run almost twice as fast because of the NPU so Apple is going to let loose their AI assistant next week but if you get an iPad Air. It’s gonna run half as fast because it has half the size NPU which means it’s running the same size NPU that’s in the iPhone 15 Pro Max

Each M series chip runs the previous iPhone chip neural processing unit. That’s why they have to go with the M4 because it’s using the previous generations neural processing unit. Apple is going to announce on device AI in June and how embarrassing would it be if on device runs faster on the iPhone to release in September than it does on the M3 chips which are technically a generation ahead but worse NPU
