Hi Rusty, I have one of these gumball machines that my grandfather gave me about 8 years ago. Sadly he is no longer able to tell me anything about it and I need help getting it back into working order. Where did you get the globe and gasket? I ordered a new globe but mine won’t go on easily like yours. I’m not even sure if the machine works.

Hey, I was just wondering - was this one made in USA, Mexico, or China? I can tell it was made somewhere between 1997 and 2012. It's hard to tell the exact year because the only real changes made were the stickers, and the original ones were long gone! They were changed in 2005, and again in 2007, and maybe one more time? Also, those are actually the wrong stickers - the cab ones you put on there are 1995-96 stickers, and the ones on the excavator cab are 1983-91 stickers. But it still looks cool with those - I actually think they look better than the correct stickers for this truck!

Looking for inspiration to go fiddle with my old lanterns. Thanks, I'm on my way. A couple of tips if I may. One, grease the wick before inserting. I just pinch a dab of axle grease into the first inch or so. Two, paint. I've been using automotive engine enamel on mine with good results. No primer, just paint. A cool color to try is old Pontiac blue. Metallic powder blue.

Little late but Trim the wick it will burn better, cleaner, brighter, just trim to match the burner head. Half moon shape.

I've used that undercoat. The metal rusted under it and eventually rust stains bleed through it.

Where did you find all the rivets? I just found one in our scrap pile at work and would like to restore it

The serial number is no 205359 i would like to know what year it is plus it says 6v battery not aure if its a 30s lamp or a 50s or 60s lamps , btw nicely done on the restoration on ur lamp , infact i was going to fix mine and yse it for my old 57 roll fast middle weight bicycle. I hope to gear from you soon about the year on my lamp just curious to know

looks nice painted as original but what have all you guys got this fedish with the little wire brushes bead blast them not sand saves half the time and cleans a whole lot better

I watched mesmerised as I had this exact T9 dozer in 1974 as a kid in Boston. I had to leave it there when my family moved to the UK in 1975. To this day it’s my favourite toy ever and I have a photo of me with it that I treasure. ThNk you for the video. Took me back to happy times 🙏😊

How do you do the decals

I have one painted and ready to reassemble. I have had the hardest time finding rivets for the arm. What metal stock did you use to thread for the acorn nuts. I havent been able to find long tubular rivets or a tool

You're the second person to get the blade color wrong,when you buy this new it doesn't have a chrome blade it has a Catapiller yellow blade, or are you color blind also like the other guy 🤔 & if you can't get the color right then don't bother restoring it,I hate it when people restore toys they get & don't paint them the original color
