    This week for your consideration, we have a vintage Nylint Road Grader.
    This grader is in "played with" condition. Flaking paint and a little rust. I can imagine all the roads a child built with this old girl back in the day. It's time for an upgraded paint scheme and a few new parts, so we can put this old workhorse in the hands of another child, possibly in an "older" child's collection. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the restoration! RS

    BEAUTIFUL JOB! Looks better than new. Just sorry you didn't show your work to repair the bent cab frame. I always enjoy seeing the "body work" when needed. THANKS.

    Do you ever have to watch the disassembly part of the video to figure out where some of the bits came from?

    • @RustyShepherd
      @RustyShepherd  Před 4 lety +2

      Colin, not on this one. This one was pretty simple. On some of the others I had to reference the tear down video to figure out which way some pieces went. RS

    That looks like a much newer one than mine. Its almost like they copied the Tonka design a little bit. I don't like the crummy detents for the blade angle. Also there are repro's of the rubber exhaust available, but I like the improvised version. I also think you did an excellent job on the decals!

      @@RustyShepherd I was a bit more curious about this version. Looks like yours came out around 1970 as this is the first time it shows up in a Sears or JC penny catalog. Mine is from 1955 czcams.com/video/1zd3E5ZM4bI/video.html

    You're the second person to get the blade color wrong,when you buy this new it doesn't have a chrome blade it has a Catapiller yellow blade, or are you color blind also like the other guy 🤔 & if you can't get the color right then don't bother restoring it,I hate it when people restore toys they get & don't paint them the original color

    • @RustyShepherd
      @RustyShepherd  Před rokem

      I appreciate your opinion, but the customer I restored it for, wanted the blade chrome. He knew what the original color was, but he liked the chrome accent as it will be sitting up on his mantle with the rest of his vast collection of vintage steel toys. Thanks!
