The original subnautica was a masterpiece of a game and it always will be. They absolutely nailed the atmosphere and it’s impossible to replicate such a feeling. To this day, out of all my playthroughs I have still never worked up the courage to go to the Aurora without building the cyclops first even though I know what to expect lol

Imagine if they made a spear fishing/exploration game like the first Subnautica. The sheer horror of some of the areas while you're just trying to survive but with out the promise that you'll be saved. I was a bit surprised by the lack of cephalopods in the initial game in general. I was fully expecting a cuddle fish the size of a box truck for the horror/hunter aspect.

Well deserved first place. The Reaper Leviathan, no matter how many hours i have in this game, still terrifies me. With all other Leviathans i can dance around potential obstacles or out manuever them because some have the turning radius of a truck, but no matter what i just cant deal with Reapers.

This factfiles have come such a long way! They've always had some awesome info but the editing and presentation is so cool to see now :D Nice work Aletho!

I would have picked the electrogami plus shockstar, the thalassacean, the ice breaker and the crested reaper. The crested reaper feels true to subnautica's nature while giving me a somewhat realistic appearance being more animalistic and this induces me fear because I cannot find the cartoonish factor not any face patterns. It is my favorite.
