Thanks for watching 'The Sea Treader - Studying Subnautica's Smallest Leviathan!' - Hry
The Sea Treaders are really cool. I built a small base there to gather the materials they dig up, which has helped me a lot building a lot! I think they are cool. I wish they were in more bioms, but it makes sense that they are, where they are. Great Video yet again Aletho!
Thanks Kirby, I bet it was cool seeing them out the window all the time!
I should do that next time I play!
@@iAlethothe sea treader is as long as an ampeel and a crabsnake, wouldn't that mean that they would both be classified as a small leviathan?
how do you get power down there?
@@Mark-wr8tdprob bioreactor or nuclear reactor
This is the channel to go to whenever you want to learn something about subnautica
Thanks Robin!
I couldn’t agree more😄
Can I learn how to get my sea moth back from the aurora when a reaper leviathan is right where I need to go and I saw its tail sticking out of the water? Should I just make another sea moth, ditch that with the reaper, get my original sea moth back, and book it back to my escape pod?
Fr this man knows everything
@@BeaIsBi it's gone bro.. lol those reapers show no love
While they may not look that big when looking at them from a first person perspective and from above, if you look at a size comparison they are absolutely massive, and very much deserve the title of leviathan. Also, these animals make getting shale outcrops completely trivial. I'm more in need of titanium than those most of the time
Yeah being roughly 4 times the size of an elephant is definitely no pip squeak! xD
Go see them in VR. Oh god just do anything you can in VR, it's incredible. Even the seamoth feels like an absolute beast of a machine in that perspective. It's also so weird seeing the seaglide or even the scanner. Suddenly you realize the seaglide is the size of your entire body, and the scanner is literally the size of your head.
Sea treader is most definitely my favorite leviathan. Provides resources, relatively chill, and smart enough to keep their kids protected at all times? YES. I imagine their main predators are warpers and the occasional ghost leviathan that wants a break from filter feeding
I wish the sea treader was nessasary for something. Maybe not the main progression. But some cool optional base upgrades would be cool.
Let's GOOO. My favorite Leviathan right there, a mineral farm.
It was one of my most requested creatures to cover!
The first time I encountered these guys, they scared the living daylight out of me. I didn’t know if they were hostile or not. Once I realized they were peaceful and even dropped materials, I quickly grew comfortable around them
it's also the one of 3 creature in the crater to walk around instead of swimming, with the others being Cave and Blood Crawlers.
Legs really aren't fashionable on 4546B are they!
* sad rockpuncher noises *
he said in the Crater
@@oxtheox494 those are in different biome, but they're from a terrible game (and not as memorable).
totally forgot they existed until now lol.
@@vizthex yep, ik they are from a different game just didn't read the comment properly thought it said in subnautica instead of just the crater. also below zero isn't a particularly bad game, it just isn't better than subnautica. if it released first then people wouldn't think it was bad, they would just think subnautica is better.
The sea treader has always been one of my favorites. By calling them a leviathan they made the title surprisingly attainable, just going by size alone they really aren't that big, many whales would be considered leviathan class organisms, and since most of their size comes from the length of their legs I imagine they can't be particularly heavy, so if you added mass into the equation you might be able to fit even more earth creatures into leviathan class
This just gave me an idea for a sea base. Build one by the Sea Treaders Path and then fuel it with their waste. Plus have easy access to shale outcroppings too. But I wonder what would happen if a base was built to block the path. Would they attack it, go around it, or just walk through it?
At least it has green...? brown? Energy!
probably go around it? I know it's possible to trap a sea treader with base components
such a nice channel honestly deserves much more. good quality some good information and some backstory its just perfect :D
Thanks Zero!
*I found them and i made the beacon name "Your friends" My friend kevin didnt know about SUB And when he found the Sea Treaders I told him "Dont forget to say thank You" it was funni lol*
I love all your videos, they are all so engaging and colorful, keep up the good work and you will go far.
Thanks Remington! I always try to make the best video possible for you to enjoy, each shot is filmed deliberately for what I'm talking about at the time!
Lovin' your content and I love the way you do outros that always lead to other videos, it's always lively with you
Keep up the good work, I hope your channel continues to get lots of love
Thanks CourtlySeaDog! As long as I make videos you enjoy then that's what's important :) stay awesome!
It's a good thing to know something threatening is approaching, especially when you're the size of a building and move as fast as one
YES! I was excited for this! I have another request if you consider it. Maybe the crabsquid next? Or (if you ever plan on it) the chelicerates!
One of these might be correct ;)
@@iAletho oooo. Can't wait!
Your videos are just AMAZING!! You are such an underrated CZcamsr
Thanks Babib3l3l!
One of the most alien-looking of Subnautica's fauna. Things like this really remind us that we're on another planet with a whole different ecosystem. Subnautica's devs combined vivid imagination with scientific logic.
This is cool. Good job!
Thanks Mats!
:)
my notifs gave me this one a bit late, but NEW ALETHO VID! ❤
Good to see you as always muslimgamer!
Great vid!
Love the video once again. Man you put so much effort in your videos. Can't wait for subnautica 3!!!!! 😂
Thanks Stardrive! I always try to make the best video I can for you :)
@@iAletho :D
The only creature in Subnautica that can poo, I think..
Otherwise cool levivathan! Awesome video!
Yep pretty sure they are James!
Never seen one as going farther than grand reef's lost river entrance is something i would never do and the transition from sparse reef looks like the void to me usually
Love these little dudes, kinda wish I was the kind of person to seriously work on mods - would love to see a huge one just circling around the crater in the Void.
The only guy that can make me watch 7 subnautica videos at 6 in the morning 😂
You should do more non leviathan creatures
“Sea treaders move and live in herds”
_Shows a sad sea treader walking alone_
Honestly, give this thing a Heat-Ray and allow it to walk on land, and you’ve got yourself the next War Of the Worlds film!
I gotta say, this series is charming (the subtle hint to watch the next episodes included, haha). It reminds me of, like, Johnathon Bird, Steve Irwin, the Kratt brothers, etc.
You should make a subnautica animation, your drawings are SO good!
Honestly the sea trader pace is the best place for a base(maybe). Just trap them first with I compartments(that will take a lot of resources though), use their waste for bioreactors, and use the materials they dig up for your base.
I built a really cool Base in the Sea treaders path It's a crossroads or Toll Stop. With a glass bridge spanning over an area that The Leviathan's pass under.
they are such silly goobers i love them
Big silly sea geese Gaby?
Nice to see these guys getting some love.
These guys were one of my most requested leviathans to cover Fulgrim!
These guys always reminded me of the Striders from HL2, they even kinda sound like them too
The Sea Treader was the only creature in Subnautica is didn't encounter during my only playthrough of the game, which sucks because these guys are really cool looking.
i love subnautica so much im excited for subnautica 3
These are the kind of videos I want to watch in my Bio class
"The Biology of Alien Life"
“Well of they’re leviathan class organisms that must mean that they are one of the largest species on the planet right?”
“Well yes, but actually no.”
Honestly,i forgot that these leviathans exist
Imma go see if you have a gargantuan leviathan video
Do one on the sea emporer, call it subnauticas damsel in distress
It coming Chris!
I hope Subnautica never dies so that this channel will always strive
We're doing it Milan!
They always reminded me of striders from half life 2, which is interesting considering that striders might've been some sea creature before combine modifications
My fav Subnautica youtuber
Ah thank you x3nd3r!
i loved this video
I did some research as part of my method of spawning things and seeing what they do, and found out these things.
A. 0 sense of self preservation. I spawned a whole herd, and they marched straight into the void.
B. These things will keep walking till they can’t no more
Probably not the canon reason, but I find it interesting to believe the sparse reef might be barren due to sea treaders clearing out all the plant life.
I suppose they have niche quite similar to boars in Europe in ploving seafloor they help in movement of nutrients.
While I like he genral idea and design of the sea traders, they really should have a differerent trump separated from their legs. Sure feeding limbs do exist in anture but they're usually pretty dedicated for that specififc role. I could be wrong but mouth legs don't strike as really structuraly sound, y'know ? For a leg you want solid structure capable of suppoting the animal weight (and that's a big carapaced boy so you want lots of support), for a mouth and oesopahgus, you want an empty tube, and given the quantity of food that thing had to gobble, probaly a big one., and dedicated mucles to make your food move through that long tube. Doesn't quite fit with what we see.
My favorite creatures. They power my base and let me have access to rare resources
You Know You're Damned When The Smallest Leaviathan Is 20 Meters Long
Bro when I first saw the sea treaders dung I thought it was a crash fish lol
I want the next one to be about the ice worm
maybe they're the reason the Sparse Reef is so sparse...
That could very well be true, the PDA does say that damage to plant life on the Sea Treader path is due to them!
These things terrified me when i first came across them
It takes courage to approach them the first time ruben!
Sea Treader is one of the boring but also interesting kinda creature for me.
It's an under rated gem Warduxe!
Just discovered them. What majestic creatures. And big poop.
Squidsharks are considered a leviathan-class organism if I recall
no
They look like they are related to the shuttlebug
It's definitely possible, at least they both have legs xD
What’s a leviathan you want to see in subnautica 3 ?
I'd quite like to see a giant squid like creature!
Best leviathan 😎
I love sea treaders
Fun fact the squid shark is actually the smallest leviathan it even says it’s a small class leviathan creature
the Sea Treaders don't attack anymore
I met sea theaders once only when when I was swimming away from ghost leviathans spawn location in a grand reef 😂
Out of the frying pan and into the fire Tom!?
The sea treaders I was following must've been constipated or smth cuz i aint got any shit from em
I remember having no idea what to do with the feces and i tried to put it in a growbed
when it didnt work i dropped it in the middle of the ocean and left
Their heads look like a bird skull to me
first comment ?? also good video keep up the good work aletho 👍
You did it Yassen! first comment complete!
The sea treaders might be the thing i see the least i never find them
They're hiding on their path swindle!
THIS IS WHAT IVE BERN WATING FOR!
This is what its all about Turg!
@@iAletho WOOOOO!
can you do the peeper please
Just commenting to help the algorithm
average aletho banger11!11!1
typical epic MDRUM comment!
I remember playing this game and never seeing these leviathans, Why? Cuz' i had no idea where they were
I don't think I saw them on my first play through either to be honest!
Can you do some below zero videos like this maybe on the shadow leviathan or something.
Thats the plan oxtheox! I plan on covering all the interesting creatures :)
‘They suffer from road rage.’
Make that two of us. No one in the U.S. can drive, and it makes me real mad.
I don't think anyone can where I am from either xD
Mosquito experiment gone wrong...
in my first thruplay i didn't know that they exist
Me neither xD or they might not have been in the game, thats also possible :D
@@iAletho it can't be the last one because i played the game my first time like four months ago
Did anyone else noticed that it has 12 eyes? Just me okay.
Never even seen this creature
5$ that the next leviathan he covers is the Chelicerate/Chelly.
We will have to wait and see Phoenix! ;)
its the chameleos of leviathans
I use them as my lithium slaves
Free lithium for all!
Such a goober
The AT-AP
The cutest leviathan
why are they so cutieful
I usually drive around these things
Atleast with all the noise they make you won't miss them breadpencil!
@@iAletho oh okie, I'll let you know if I rammed into them accidentally
0:25 would the frozen leviathan from below zero count
i really wanna know how they're immune to the Stasis Rifle.
Something something space aliens?
how it ate
These are some of my fav animals in subnautica. I use them as my slaves- i mean friends
Like extra large guard dogs! xD
Do the emperor😊
Its on the list duolingo!
so sea treaders are the unstoppable force in subnautica until they hate you or they need to shit
They'd walk straight through mountains if they could! xD
Hey compound eyes are normal and so are all types of eyes
Except malfunctioning eyes
I prefer the name "snout Walker"
i thought stalkers were the smallest leviathans
