quadriplegic means 4 limbs affected (not necessarily full paralyzed). You can clearly see her hands are affected, so she's a quadriplegic.

Well they say that infrared can help with pain but I cannot say after 1 session. I was at the Therme in Bucharest, Romania and there they have a lot of relaxation things, so I cannot say if it helped me or not.

@@SandraHwheelchair 1 session probably not enough. Since you provided the name, I looked it up. Wow. That's one fancy sauna/spa resort. Pictures of it were amazing.

@lj8902 yes, they say it's the biggest wellness of Europe. And I'm surprised it's located in Romania. But accessibility for wheelchair is not the best. I have some other pictures and videos from there. Maybe I can make a video to show more of it.

@@SandraHwheelchair Very extravagant looking place. Pity about the accessibility issues though. Too bad there isn't some sort of "across borders" set of standards for WC users and others requiring assistive technologies. Here in US, accessibility is provided (even if poorly designed) across all states. Then again is one country and not many. A vid or pics should you choose to do so would be nice. It is available with financial assistance. Otherwise, it is not to pay. It is possible to also loan, but then it is not personalised on your sizes, and you can have it for a period of 6 months. Transfer it is a challenge...the wc has to be against a wall or something otherwise it is not possible for me.

Hi there! I do not totally agree with you. So far, the other people that participated did not have any autonomic dysreflexia issues, so it'a not bad as you see it. Everything had been done under supervising of professionals.

@@SandraHwheelchair I'm a C4-C6 quad..and I have AD and know what triggers it. Cold water or a shock to the system is a trigger. Agree or disagree...it's not really about that.

@morgancalvi6675 Well, it is possible that if you regularly have AD to easily get it from cold water or ice. We are all different. I rarely have AD, so for me, the chance is lower, but that doesn't mean that for every person with spinal cord injury is bad

@@SandraHwheelchair right...but if AD is a problem (and it could kill you), the ice cold water treatment isn't for everyone.

I do not know, but they are also testing on people with other disabilities so maybe in the future you will read somewhere about.

Hi there! Thank you for your message! Well it's for them also everything new so they do not know exactly how much time of so but that's what they want to found out. Like for know they do 7 weeks, but I think it is not enough, so it probably will be again an experiment with a longer period. My spasms weren't so intense afterwards and also inside the bath because the breathing exercises that we do the moment we enter the bath really help. Hypothermia should be possible, but til now, no one has experienced that. The benefit I noticed for myself with cold sessions is that my blood pressure goes a bit up, which is good in my case with my lower blood pressure.

@@SandraHwheelchair I can understand that it would elevate blood pressure. But, I don't understand how it works on spasms. I've seen vids a few times of people doing submersion in icy water for whatever reason. As long as it works for you, then all is good. It must take some time to get used to the ice baths though. Is something not for me 😄. Have a blessed day...

I believe it can help to reduce spasms because when you enter cold water or an ice bath, all your muscles will tense up, and theoretically, the spasms should decrease after you get out because the muscles are somewhat "fatigued". However, nothing comes easy, including an ice bath. It requires time and preparation for everything in life. Have a blessed day!
