Dang you are very brave! I'm in a wheelchair and I would be very nervous!

I was also nervous my first time but with practice I got to be confident

Hey there! Glad to see you posting again. That's wonderful that you had the opportunity to work with a WC skills team. Escalators, I can do. Stairs, not so well at all, always or always avoiding them completely. The wheelies, still can't do them successfully but only a very few inches momentarily. Probably need to fine tune my WC and where my center of gravity is. So, did they do that with your WC? As in adjusting your configuration on your frame for better center of gravity? Noticed the foot strap for allowing better control when on two wheels only. Bless your heart, those spasms seemed to add some an additional challenges to your skillset.

Hi there! This is a new wheelchair. With my other wheelchair I was not able to do wheelies but the gravity center of this one indeed is different. The weight is more in front. The foot strap is for my feet spasms but still if I get spasms while doing the wheelies is more difficult. With warm weather I get faster spasms in my feet.

I'm wondering if something like this exists there also. I waited like 2 years to be able to join this training...it's really popular

@@SandraHwheelchair So that's your new WC. Awesome. What brand if I may ask?

@@SandraHwheelchair I'm beginning to wonder about skills programs myself. A quick search provides resources for many online learning training but there are plenty of vids on CZcams for that. I've yet to see anything locally or even regionally with in-person training. Plenty of seating clinics to help you get what you need but none offering an obstacle course like yours. A two year wait? Wow... Does seem to be a need for more clinics like this. That vid was really cool to watch.

Oh, ok. So, it seems to be something unique. Well yes, 2 years because they do this course in different cities but 1 time a year. So Amsterdam is the closest to me. Also, when I sign up, people who live in the same city where the course takes place, they have priority. This time, I was lucky that they had someone who cancelled. It is really useful something like this.

Oh you are spasming wildly! Is it always like that? Do you take Baclofen or any other meds for it?

    • @SandraHwheelchair

No, is not always like that, when it's warmer I get more spasms. I used to take Baclofen but now I don't take anything, I'm good like this.
