Intermittent jet to lean go up a size
I would have gotten rid of those rear fender mount brackets just to enhance the illusion of a rigid.
I have an 81 FLH that I bought new. The engine did blow up 2nd season. Was rebuilt with some better parts and 79 flywheels balanced. Has not been touched since. All original paint. I put 4 over tubes and 10inch apes on it. I would not give this bike up for anything new.
Lovely bike! Your Pop's 76 looks better. Sorry! A front fender would balance it out. The FL front fender is a style icon. Great channel, G'day from Australia.
I've got a 77 and run a short E S&S ... had it about 40 years now. Sounds like yours ids due for a battery soon. I also ran the solo cop seat with the pogo stick. No mater how i beefed it =, I still felt like I was sliding off. Went back to a frame mount. Nice job resurrecting ... one more thing I painted a similar a similar 2 tone scheme only with silver and charcoal grey. It appears we share aesthetics
Should be adjustable shocks notches to stiffen them up on the bottom. Youd need the half moon tool if so .
Nice shovel . I heard the shocks speaking. Take some spray lube and spray it down In the shock through tye top . Mine was driving me nuts . Sprayed the lube down in there real good and quiet and rides like a dream
So much better without the baffle. Love it!
Agreed
70 when the "speed limit" was 55 is fast...LOL
😂😂😂 fair point lol
It looks sweet!👍🏼👍🏼
The third photo! She's gorgeous😍
Showww this motorcycle... beautiful 😎.......🤘😎👍😎...with..song...of the Black sabbath.... kkkkkkkk 😁 👍 🇺🇸 🇧🇷 here in Brazil...my friend 🇧🇷 🇺🇸 👍
Thank you
Why not just go through the carb, get some new intake gaskets and make it right! You have taken the time and changed to another iffy carb, kicked it a million times, cursed it a few hundred times and Now your back at square one! For the next video. Hmmmm Nice bike! The faults belong to the Owner. Ride Safe. Good luck on the next round
I fixed it
@@braydonhopper figured you did! Or you put the scooter in the Corner for time out! I just read did anS&S Super E on one of my rides, hated paying lots for a kit but glad its new again! Been 20 yrs and figured it was about time. Haven't fired it yet! Did Lots of stuff! Mostly wiring had it since 1986 carb wasn't and issue but had to re do cables and controls figured just do all if it then be done for a few more years
Excellent bike. I think its perfect.
Drag pipes are the only way to go
Ive been building bikes for a fair amount of time. The bike looks nice, really nice. Only thing i see you need. Cut the fork springs 2" with a spacer. That will keep the bottom of the frame level. Keep the frame level.
Fair point
Agreed very clean!
I know this video is a year old. Did you paint that black Fat boy tank. Would you sell that tank ? Where are you located
Are you talking about the gas tanks on the shelf or the black fat boy from the other videos?
@@braydonhopper The black fatboy tank that was on the bike. The paint looked pretty good.
@@tobinlakeguideservices that tank is still on the bike
@@braydonhopper Ok. I thought you mentioned painting it so I thought I’d see if you would part with it. I am looking for a 1996 tank with that paint.
@tobinlakeguideservices I think the 96 has a different two tone pinstripe then the 98. 98 had gold and purple and 96 had gold and red. Just something to keep in mind
So, just because you took some ugly chrome pieces off of it it's a chopper now? Do you even know what the definition of chopper is?
Technically it has to be a rigid. I just titled it as such so douche bags like you would comment on the video and drive it higher in the algorithm to get me more views. So, thank you for being such a loser that you have to criticize me like a bitch just because you can hide behind the anonymity of the internet
@@braydonhopper More like Gaydonhopper
very cool transformation. I took this as some inspiration to buy and modify a night train last winter.
Great video! My Dad is a old Harley guy, he always runs a Pan/Shovel valve spring on his seat post bikes.
That is why I have electric start on my Shovelhead 😂 I'm too old for that mule
not hating this is a sick build but no front brake on throttle??? how do you get around that?
I put an after-market throttle assembly to delete the need for stock controls with a brake perch. I just like the look of no front brake
@@braydonhopper it looks sick as fuck i agree that’s why i was so curious haha
@@crackdemarco4718 appreciate ya, slick
Cool bike! What is that clutch tho?
That's a beautiful bike,,well done bud 👍 😊
Get some torque cones it should fix any backflow issue they're not very expensive and it worked on my 77' FXS lowrider with the same 2 into 1 exhaust.
Good to know. Thanks
That’s not a chopper looks like a bobber not a chop
Ok lol
Not one thing. Thanks I have a 82 Sturgis basket case I wish I knew someone could fix it for me
I know it is a old video but I like the drag bars. I'm running one inch risers with 18 inch apes.
Just subbed bro. Why don’t you have 100K FOLLOWERS. I see you blowing up just keep pushing my friend.
Appreciate ya hoss
Yeah thats the uaual dealership BS. I had a 07 with the factory extended warranty and the local dealership wouldnt work on it. Now I ride a 1988 and good luck finding anyone to work on it.
Missin my ole shovel
Looks like a heritage softail to me that you bobbed the fender. Full chopper build? Bull shit.
Hahaha get a life!
Cheak The Black Death bike out
Awesome Ride
Great channel I just subscribed…im binge watching all your videos…but im gonna need more content 😉 love that shovel I’ve got an 83 Shovel and 93 EVO
Nice bike. Finishing up a similar yet different 73 FLH. 2 into 1, lowered rear. Like your style.
i have a 1980 flh since new all original, all of a sudden it's 44 years old and i'm 74.
love this bike
This reminds me of my 1994 Electra Glide classic. I picked her up when she was 29 years old.
Another genius that sets his evo idle so slow to try to sound like a old Shit box shovel. You’re killing your motor doing that dum Dums
Don’t watch videos while you drive😂
Blow me nerd
Nice ride
That is a nice machine.
Much appreciated
Heritage too custom
Why did you keep the fork cans?
It's an aesthetic choice and functional choice. Didn't have rubber dust covers, and the fork covers give the front end a more robust expression/silhouette.
Did you end up lowering the front or rear? Looks great!
Stick front. Lowered the rear as far down as the aftermarket lowering kit would allow
That’s a sweet little chop job.
Thanks bud
And I'm running points just keep a spare set in your saddlebag or tool bag
Same!
Hey dude people rode those forever all over the country all over the world they did just fine then they had to go computerized everything I can't do any tuning or anything on my 2016 Dyna wide glide too many sensors that's why I love my old shovel heads
