I've got a 96 Heritage softail, my first HD. I'm really torn & in two minds about what to do with it. Its got a little damage from its previous life but runs beautify. I cant decide between doing it up to full Heritage spec & selling or trading it. Or, doing something like what you've done here! Most people I talk to about it say don't chop it, do it up & sell it. But I know the bike now, I know it runs great, I know all its quirks... It IS a beautiful bike, but far removed from my....stylistic inclinations hahah.... any advice or ideas??
96 is a great year with the redesigned cases. Keep it forever. You could do a Chicano style softail. 21 on the front with mini apes, le pera solo seat, and exhuast.
Make sure and get your bike license first on a boring straight bike before doin the chopper because if you take a chopper to take your test especially in the South some D bag instructor will write you a ticket and send you packin cuz of silly nonsense like licence plates and other chopper stuff the d bags dont like.
2 of my favorite songs on part 1 and 2. Good to see the younger generation enjoy motorcycles and good classic rock! Makes me proud!
Already looking well bud. 👍🏻
Thank you 🤘🤘🤘

Oh that's rad. Not many people do that
When you cut the fender, did you have to touch up the paint at all when you were done hand filing it? Great bike
Yea, I had some leftover touch up I used
Got a link to that seat?
