I travel around making videos of all kinds of trains. I am from Central Pennsylvania but travel around the Northeast and occasionally across America. Lately I try my best to tell a story from the events I see so I can share them with you. I take a lot of inspiration from producers like 7ideaproductions and Distant Signal and several others.

Last Operating ALCO Century 630 - Rare Mileage & Bee Line Service Explained
On May 9, 2009, the RCT&HS ran excursion trains featuring Reading C630 5308 and NW2 103, where we'll follow along and talk about Reading's innovative Bee Line Service. Reading 5308 is the last American built ALCO Century 630 operating in the United States. MLW variants still exist in operating condition as well. 5308 wears the "Bee Line Service" scheme, restored into such by the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society in 1987.

Amazing Winter Snow Trains
zhlédnutí 13KPřed 5 měsíci
A collection of some of my favorite winter snow scenes from over the years (2009-2022), several of which have never been seen before on this channel, others are dug up and remastered from older videos. While winter railfanning is difficult (I got stuck for an hour on my way home after the first scene because it was snowing 3" per hour and the road become invisible in the short time I was out af...
Reading & Northern 425: Journey of an Autumn Steam Train Part 2 - Last Dash to Jim Thorpe
zhlédnutí 14KPřed 7 měsíci
On the first Saturday of November 2022, 425 made the last full round trip from Outer Station to Jim Thorpe and back before being taken out of service for the 1472 day inspection. When 425 will be back in service remains unknown, but no doubt the Reading & Northern will take great care and pride with the upkeep. Late season fall foliage still clings to the hillsides as we make the most of the si...

Remembering Retired Locomotives: General Electric Dash 9-40C - The C40-9 "Top Hats"
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 10 měsíci
The General Electric C40-9 was a first generation Dash 9 built specifically for Norfolk Southern who requested their first order without wide cabs - and was the only railroad to do so. Nicknamed "Top Hats" by railfans, these locomotives were in service from 1995 until 2015-18 when they were gradually retired and sent into the AC44C6M rebuild program. None remain in service today or have been pr...
Railroad CEO Takes His Train to Dinner! Streamlined Diesels on the Reading & Northern

We stumbled upon the Reading & Northern F Units in Outer Station while out railfanning one Saturday at the end of May 2021 shortly after catching freight train NRFF at Mohrsville. It turns out, it was a private trip for CEO Andy Muller Jr and guests to head to dinner at the Tamaqua Station Restaurant. The former Reading Railroad station was fully restored by 2004 and is featured in the Spring 2...

We follow around Reading & Northern's YJNR (Yard Job North Reading) doing miscellaneous switching duties and heading to customers. But on one day in 2023, a trio of end cab switchers left the yard to grab a coal train and take it down the mainline, a throwback to a different era of railroading once common in this part of Pennsylvania. EMD SW variants and MP15DC locomotives were a mainstay in th...

The Murphy Branch arguably has the craziest track profile in all of North America, including the steepest continuous mainline grades over two mountain passes. This video has been an at least daily ritual for our two young boys. They absolutely love it
I'm not sure exactly when the last boilers were cut over to Natural Gas but it was around 2019-2020 and since then all coal Eastman receives is used for plastic feedstock not power generation. They use the carbon in the coal for plastic instead of petroleum for almost all of the products they make there. Great video!
3:12 8616 was sold to FCCA and renumbered 1021, it was operative until May 2023.
I’m riding that train to Chicago to see my sis I can’t wait
a beautiful loco indeed!
I used to be a railroader.... But then I took a fire to the axle.
Double trouble😂
The lead Norfolk Southern locomotives: “Yippee!!!!” The Last Norfolk Southern Locomotive: “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!”
can you go in a Acela that goes hi ho
WOW BEAUTIFUL VIDEO
I don’t know why but these types of videos make me sleepy 😴
This is why I always wait for the crossing gate to go all the way up. I'm sorry if I'm holding anyone up on their way to work, but that is how less issues like this happen.
great catches and video of this long distance train agin with a CSX coal train too
great catches and video of this Limited catches with some good horn action as well as a little race with one of the Capitol racing a CSX unit on a power move
Its the RS5T's little Brother 😂
The fact that CP SD40-2s could be seen hauling intermodals in Pennsylvania just 12 years ago does not compute in my brain
Back in the1990s metro north railroad had some EMD F10s (built from F3s) that they had used on their Waterbury ct branch and they had leslie S5T horns. Sounded very good.
Awesome video
Great video! Really, you took a lunch break during prime time switching at the plant? C'mon.
I know the feeling… and the smell. These trains pass by Roselle Park NJT station at night whenever I’m rail fanning. It’s stinks like hell!
I like ns 8105 and 1069
sweet video
What was the interlocking name where the meet happened?
this video is apart of my childhood for some reason
The cinematography in this video is exceptionally beautiful. The scenery and all the little details in each shot truly bring this work to life. My three-year-old son and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, as he loves steam trains.

Could those GP38-2s have been used on the PRSL?
p3s are legendary 💕
At 5:44, it was SO DAMN GOOD to see A REAL CABOOSE, AND NOT THAT WORTHLESS FLASHING RED LIGHT!! It reminded me of the red cabooses that were on the end of the Southern Railroad freight trains.❤❤❤😊😊😊 I miss them.
Awesome video!
Train #1 ready or not hear I come Train #2 wait for me you got a headstart
I love your film. Best one on the internet.
If I had to convert several locomotives into scrap, without a doubt, I would choose these, because this way, the planet Earth is less polluted.
Beautiful cute gorgeous engine the blue colour is a rocker
Does that trackage have freight too? Or just excursion?
Freight between NS interchange at Laurel Jct in Temple and Leesport only. Car storage above there sometimes. There hasn't been an excursion since this one 15 years ago, sadly.
6:41 Sounds familiar………OH YEAH RAILS UNLIMITED K5LA FROM THE BUDD METROLINER
La cloche résonne tres biens le bruit du moteur pas mieux surtout a l arrêt la sonorités grandioses tres belles locomotive raçé very magnifique$.
NS 8384 sounds like Harry Potter but they should keep the the dash 8s his horn is extremely fouled they paint NS 8384 in a Harry Potter Heritage scheme but now they scrap them or they put them in the storage
love my bee line service reading lines alco s
Nice seeing a whole train without any graffiti…!!!
Every US canadian train i will ever see will remind me of Hobo Shoestring
They must have gotten a fantastic deal on that house with the train tracks so close to the front door.
I wonder if 5308 can still run again along with 5513 in the future?
1225 Père Marquette un grand Plaisir au regard magnifique$.
Why have they stopped these excursions?
I honestly don't have that answer, I know there has been talks of running again soon but I think the motive power needs more maintenance and that requires money and you know how that can go. Plus R&N owns the tracks, not the museum, so they need permission to run again when/if they do.
I am old enough to remember when Alco 630s were commonly used on the non electric commuter trains on the Long Island Railroad back in the 1960s. We lived 2 blocks from the Long Island Railroad mainline to Manhattan. Those locomotives gave off a lot of smoke like a steam locomotive. Especially when they pulled up from a station. 😊
Nice to see some ALCSs still running.

Norfolk southern what’s a function
I love the circus elephants.
