I've been in his home and his office and there are a number of interesting stories about him including a gunfight with a rival and the fact that he sold out rather cheaply to Pepsico and later Pepsi gave him more money to keep him as the face of the company. Worth a deeper dive on him.

You don't actually posit that eloquence and decorum, notably in dress, are/were somehow indigenous to the North Atlantic? Both women and men wore hats. Dress was more formal; expected to be of a higher level than the quite relaxed state of media nowadays . . . Forgive me, but being "British" has nothing to do with it. That is your frame of reference, so that informs your reaction, yet I guarantee you the United States didn't/doesn't look to the United Kingdom for its cues . . . Be well.

This era of TV was for the most part very prim and proper. The show was interesting though. I've seen reruns of it properly on a channel called TV Land. Chickens do more or less leap about it for a time after you remove their heads. 😂 I also love the show Who's Line Is It Anyway, BP1. I also agree that Ronald McDonald is a scary mother******. 😅😂 I hate clowns in general.

I watch this show when I was a little girl.

The strap is called Flank Strap, it makes the bull buck. The bull knows if it twists and buck it’ll get the rider off and the strap will be removed. I forgot, the bull riders can choose between wearing a helmet or his hat, it’s their choice.

The best manners on any game show ever! The panel was comprised of very sophisticated New Yorkers from the worlds of book publishing, journalism, and Broadway. They met people from ALL walks of life on this show...many of whom didn't at all fit the stereotypical image of their profession. Which made it all the more fun and challenging. There were very elegant ladies who might have been pig farmers or bald gentlemen who made wigs. Lots of cheeky humor but everyone was treated with the utmost respect.

Those were the good old days.

I love this show. Dorothy Killgallen has a very interesting life.

I know this is from 2 years ago but I have to say yes you have to watch Breaking Bad If you haven't already it's so good. I find most TV shows to be trash, sp I rarely watch it but this is definitely worth your time

Remember it took time for the building to fall and newspaper and tv and reporter where already on the scene to discover what was happening and many ran with people away from the falling buildings. More people have died from the smoke exposure since 9/11 than people who died on 9/11/2001. 💔 all of the victims and first responders deserve to never be forgotten. Highly recommend watching the naudet brother’s documentary on 9/11. They were in the city to make a documentary on the NY fire department but caught the first plane on video and went into the tower with the firemen. I think it’s important to know what was really happening in there and remember all the lives lost that day. 🤍

The amount of time and resources spent on producing these kinds of videos must be truly immense. Some decent vocals. I enjoyed it overall. The harmonies between singing and rap kept it fresh throughout. But, I would like to hear more singing and slightly less rap.

Another 9/11 story that many people don't know about is about the Canadian town Gander. When they grounded all planes, the small town airport took 38 commercial flights. their small town exploded in population and the town took them in. took them into their homes, cooked them food, gave them their own beds to sleep in. I lived in Madison, Wisconsin, USA when 9/11 happened. I lived just down the road and directly in a flight path to our small, Regional Airport! It was so eerie to see all the airplanes just parked all over the runways, near the gates and along the fences (we maybe had 10 or so official gates at the time,) and not have the routine drone of a plane flying directly over our house. For the first time, I could converse on the phone without closing windows or going to the basement! I didn’t work for several days following because I worked in Plasma collection and folks switched to donating whole blood, which meant they had to wait at least 6 weeks to donate plasma.
