That Nick Murray, he needs to do an update of this video.
Ah the man himself!!! Great video and thanks for sharing the insights into your home :) we enjoyed your video, always reach out if you need some British Friends to chat with :) watched your Porsche videos as well.. good job and good channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧
He's paying for the neighborhood. That's a very upscale family area in Fairfield. 30 minutes away in a more secluded area. Half the price!
In another video about his house, he showed the basement. It is unfinished, but extremely large. It could be finished and make the house much bigger. The stairs to the attic also shows a large unfinished space. That, too, can be finished. This house is larger than the average house in the US. It is also new with all of the latest features. It appears that this man has a nice income!
I wish he showed the hug basement and the 3rd floor.
That house is a "Mil" in Connecticut, but would be about 650-800k in my area of the USA>
There’s a show called “House Hunters” where a a new potential home buyer & real estate agent looks at 3 different home throughout the U.S. & then chooses at the end which one they chose. It’s a good show to because it details each home’s size, the number of bed/bath, specific needs/wants of the buyer & price. It’s also less than 30 minutes without commercials. You’ll see people looking at homes to studio apartments, from Alaska to NYC & everything in between.
I don’t care what other people are commenting…but to live in this part of the country is not reality you have to have A lot of money to live that life style
Yet those houses are common in Cali
It is reality for people who live here. There is no “typical” American home. To say it is not reality is silly. I live in a small southern town and there are houses like this and very small house for low income people and everything in between
Nosey house peepers. LOL!!
Oh yeah lol 😂
You need to watch the followup video. It has been nicely redecorated. He also tours the huge attic and very huge basement.
His garage is a standard 2 car sized. This is common even in much smaller homes.
The shrubs are like that from deer eating them. lol
I'm thinking the big plush monkeys are less decoration and more a trick to keep the dogs from tearing up the leather furniture maybe.
What you keep calling “paneling” is wainscoting. It’s a desirable feature in American homes.
Ah yes ok 👌 we call it panelling :)
I love this!! I hope Nick sees it!
Just shows that depending where you live in USA has big bearing on what $1,000,000 buys.
exactly..this house is in Connecticut and only 45 minutes from NYC. This same house is similar to many houses in the midwest of the US and it would cost half the cost in Nebraska-Kansas than in Connecticut.
It’s hard for Brits to understand what’s normal housing and what isn’t. This house is really no big deal. But,Because it’s a million as he said makes it seem not average. It’s a million because of where it’s located. You can see what we would call a mini mansion for 350/400 in parts of the south. It would definitely make that house look average.
Lived in Connecticut most of my life. Moved to Oklahoma about 9 years ago. Believe it or not I am happier with the weather in Oklahoma as well as being less expensive to live here vs Connecticut.
He has an earlier video tour with before and after pics. The amazing part he omitted here was a tour of the basement and attic. The attic is huge but the basement looks bigger than the house itself. He could put in another house in his basement.
My daughter has 3 boys and they decided to move the washer and dryer upstairs. It works since laundry originates from clothing, bedding and baths upstairs. Unless you are downstairs in the kitchen or watching TV when the machines stop, upstairs.
Vivaldi was Italian. LOL
Nice reaction guys.
If you watch older videos from that fellow he shows the basement and attic. They are huge spaces which only need finishing.
You mean watch his new video of the redecorated house.
I’ve seen another tour of his house that included the basement and attic which are both huge! That’s quite a large house, especially for a single person, and is probably why it’s as expensive as it it…3,500 sq ft and also in Connecticut near NYC.
Beautiful home ! Too much for me to take care of.
You should check his other house tour video where he shows the basement, WHICH IS HUGE, and the unfinished attic which is far from being small. ✌️
This is over a million dollar house. Most people can’t afford a house like that.
I enjoyed this guy's narration and his sense of humor.
Connecticut is one of the most expensive states to live in partly because of its proximity to New York City.
What a million dollars will buy for housing varies greatly.
Not just state to state but also within each state. In some states including most of Pennsylvania, a million dollars would come with a lot more land to it and a larger home.
Most 'new construction' which started in the late 1980s is very much a cookie-cutter design.
Around here we call them Lego houses or Smurf Villages after the cartoon.
From a construction viewpoint, new construction wooden frame homes are built with incredibly cheap materials yet they're more expensive than ever before.
They are the enemy of firefighters.
More firefighters are seriously injured or die in new construction homes than in older homes by far.
Due to the type of constructional design and materials used.
In certain states like Florida, many homes are built with block or cement because they do to being better in hot humid climates and more protection against storm damage.
It's very rare to find true brick or stone newly built homes.😊
As usual a great comment and informative, wouldn’t have realised that about older vs newer so good point FFC
And he didn't actually show you how huge the basement and attic are. In most American homes, one or the other would be turned into a "Man Cave".
Connecticut is a pretty pricy area of the country and real estate is steep. You coud get the same house with the same (or a bit more) square footage for about half the cost, in certain states. On the flip side, in other parts of the US, it could cost you a million $$ or more, just for the land without any structure on it. As they say in the real estate business, it's all about 3 things... location, location, location! Nice reaction!
That's fun! Too much house for me.
Nice house.
This is not a middle class house in any region of the US. It is definitely at the lower end of the upper class. This would be true in any of the 14 states I have lived in. Certainly is a beautiful house.
Ummm..I live in Brooklyn in Ditmas park in a middle class neighborhood and all the houses look or are much bigger than
Connecticut near New York houses are high priced.
No offense intended here, but you guys were hilarious paying such close attention to all the details he was showing, like the things on the shelves. 🤣
Garden space is never a waste! You all in the UK must not have yards to speak of, but here we (most) live in them. This same house would be 500k-700k where I am in Florida. The NE metro areas are more expensive than the majority of the country, just like the West Coast is more expensive than most areas.
New Zealand, not Australia.
Not sure if he had a bbq grill on his patio.
This house in my state would probably be between 500k and 600k. The northern states are much more expensive.
Why is he filming waist high? Too funny "a laundry room upstairs"
That house wouldn't cost a million dollars where I live in North Carolina.
Not much of an entertainer with only outdoor seating for about three.
look like average home in Midwest USA 300k
Damn. Now I want a 'F*ck off' stamp. Just imagine how much fun I could have if I switched it with the official PO stamp... 😇
I also really want a house like that, to be fair. * curses current shoebox *
Hahahaha
😜😂🤪
I'm imagining the faces of your customers as you wield that stamp.
@@firefighterchick the stamp represents my unspoken words 🤣🤣🤣
No American I know would call his yard a garden. A garden to us grows vegetables. If you have a lawn and shrubs, that's not a garden in America. Don't know where that guy is from.
Well obviously he’s from another country due to the very obvious accent!
I know I just posted but he is bragging..with no need he need to learn America
You also need to look into spicing up your staple foods you eat; seems a bit bland.
this house would probably cost half that… if that.. where i live lol
