Love these kinds of vids. I would have bet my Munson in a 6 that the Munson that got a 4 would have had a qualifier of some sort for the bottom edge having the big bulge under the L and M. I'd keep the 3, even with the little ding bottom left.

I’m sure you heard but the post Mantle and Maria with the ad back were next to each other in an insert for LIFE magazine. The full insert is cool, I’ve actually priced the complete magazine before. The 61 had the cards on the back of the cereal box but also you could get sheets through the mail, the sheets through the mail are the perforated ones. Great stuff guys! Love that John worked the dealer with a free advertisement on the show, love it! 😂

Hi FYI the Maris with the ad was inserted free in a Life magazine with the Mantle card. The one you have has been trimmed down and would probably get a trimmed or altered if graded. The other one that is graded a 3 from PSA is from a mail in promotion for the Yankees team set and they were perforated to tear apart. Non-perforated cards were on the back of store boxes of Post cereal where kids would cut out. Nice cards of both.

Nice job adding a Maris for $25. I like that you both were an able to get cards when Maris was at his peak in the 60 to 62 timeframe. John really showed off his negotiation skills. I don’t own any Post cards but I like the look of them. You should do well with Brett at $30.

I’ve been looking at a Nate Thurmond for a little while. I love the 71 set and you found a great card and a steal for $3. I wish Vintage basketball got more love. Oh well, more for you and me! The Spahn Red Man was a beauty. The Tiger was awesome. I do the same motion after I drain a put for a triple bogey, haha. I’ll need to check out that antique mall out. We spend a lot of time in St. Joseph, MI.

Hi Steve, What a great variety of cards! I haven't seen that Orr before-who issued it? It's interesting that it's a reverse negative. Orr is definitely on the Mount Rushmore of hockey players. I don't have any Topps Supers, but I think they look fantastic. I love the colorful backgrounds. The Red Man Warren Spahn is a real beauty. The artwork on those cards can be hit or miss, but they nailed it with the Spahn. The cropping on the '65 Philadelphia Deacon Jones is fascinating; it really gives the impression that he's lunging right at you. I love details like that. The '68 Topps Reggie Smith is my favorite card of his. I read an ESPN article a few days ago that ranked him as one of the 10 best hitters of the '70s. A strong case can be made for that, though I wish he could have stayed healthy. Thanks for sharing!

Really cool seeing so many different sports, I appreciate that. That Thurmond is a steal and I really like the Lanier rc. That's just wax residue on the Reggie Smith 2nd year. Just wipe it gently with a super thin dress sock or panty hose. Should be some videos here to show how. Also, if you are ever in the Muskegon area, there's a great antique mall called "Anything and Everything". I believe you can even sometimes see what their vendors are selling through their social media. Great stuff!

Steve, I NEVER find good cards at an antique story. You're lucky. I love that Deacon Jones card. I've never seen it before. I remember Nate Thurmond. He stood up well against Wilt Chamberlain too. I never knew that Kareem said that about him. What a compliment! I think that Warren Spahn card is my favorite. It looks great! I thought I was the only one who thought trading Pedro was a good idea. hahaha. At the time DeShields was the missing piece of the puzzle. Man, was I wrong there. Thanks for sharing so many fun cards!!
