Steve, what a gem of a '69 Topps Mantle! 🤯🤯🤯 Crisp and clean Montana rookie! Congrats on all of your sweet pickups! So glad you got to go to Strongsville, my collecting brother! 😊👊
Steve, enjoying watching all of these videos covering the Strongsville show. Sounds like a lot of great memories made there. Great pickups. '74 has some interesting photos for sure and that Palmer is a great action shot. Very cool Braves team card. Matt doesn't hold back when giving us cards! Love the '58 Furillo, I believe I got mine graded my last submission to SGC. Great finds for baseball and football. Thanks Steve!
Thanks Sammy! Show was definitely a blast! Matt is really one of the most genuine and generous people in the hobby. I just sent a Hostess Aaron he gave me last year at the National to SGC. Thanks for watching, hope the new job is going well!
Great pickups Steve. The Musial really does pop off the screen...wow, what vibrant colors. Love seeing the early 70's football too. It really brings me back to my youth.
Thank you, Mike! The Musial really does have some fantastic color! 1972 Topps Football brings me back to being an 11-year-old and anytime I see one in good shape I have a hard time not picking it up! Appreciate you watching!
Hey Steve! Good to hear you had a great time at the Strongsville show. Very productive show for your collection as well. Of course I’m partial to your Gibson’s and Musial. Loved seeing the vintage football as well. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks, Andy! I had a blast and that Musial really is a great looking card. I need to start grading more of my football cards, appreciate you watching. Have a great week!
Fantastic pickups and recap Steve! You did very well and grabbed some awesome cards. My favorite might be the Clemente Kelloggs. Those are just so cool. Congrats on a great show!
Thanks Joe! As soon as I saw the Clemente I knew I had to pick it up, planning to get it graded eventually. Always appreciate the support, hope all is well!
Thanks, Orlando, it is always a pleasure to see you and spend time together! Thanks again for your help picking which 69 Mantle I should pick up, I absolutely love it!
Hi Steve. It was great to meet you finally. You had lots of really nice pickups, both football and baseball. That 69 Mantle is a real beauty. Will miss you at the National, Talk soon my friend.
Hi Steve! I saw the thumbnail of those cards and knew this would be good. It seems like a great show. I would’ve loved to have gone. I am hoping to go next year being it is about 4 hours from where I live. Hopefully, you will be there as you’re one of the guys I would most like to meet. Not surprising, I love all of your pickups. I am happy you added the 69 Topps Mantle given the memories you have of that card from childhood. Such a great looking card. The 66 Gibson with the yellow and red is my favorite card of his. It just pops. Like Mantle, I don’t think Gibson has a bad looking card in his Topps run. I won’t comment on all the cards, but I do want to mention your six football pickups. Marino and Montana are as big as it gets for 80s quarterbacks. The ultimate winner and the man who put up numbers unseen to that time. Marino’s 84 season is statistically the best ever when putting in perspective the year he did it. That would be like throwing for over 6000 yards and 70+ touchdowns today. Bradshaw and Mean Joe look fantastic. 72 is such a great design with the color choices and the team name in large letters. The Stork is a nice addition too. Glad to see you added the Deacon Jones rookie too. What a great value his cards are considering he was the best defensive end of his generation. I am sure you would have a great time at the National but I am glad you at least got to Strongsville. Thanks for sharing Steve. I always enjoy seeing your new additions.
Thank you, Terry! I was glad I went with the 69 Mantle also, every time I look at it it takes me back to that day as an eight-year-old which is priceless in my book! I agree with you on Gibson, he has one of the best-looking Topps runs! I think Elway, Marino, and Montana were three of the best who ever played the game. Marino's 84 season was definitely one for the ages, his release was amazing! You know I am a big fan of the Topps 72 football set, I was happy to pick up those cards, especially the Hendricks The Stork was an amazing football player. There was a lot of sweet vintage football at the show, I was talking to one older dealer and he told me he had a 1955 Topps All-American Don Hudson at PSA that he thought would come back in a 6 or possibly 7, how sweet would that be. Have a great week!
John it was so much fun hanging out with you and John. That Clemente is absolute Gold! That Mantle is absolutely perfect as well. You absolutely killed it at this show. Thank you for the shout out and I can’t wait to get together soon and hang out! By the way I am jealous of the Marino and Montana rookie. I know need to go get them lol!
1at time watching & like wow! All great cards. Can't go wrong with Banks &;Gibson cards. That's one of my favs is the 59T Musial AS. Great 3D Clemente card n congrats on the 69T Mantle. 1st Mantle card I ever bought. Looking to get the 61T in August. Good job!!
Thanks, Theo, I agree it was great to hang out and walk the show. Once I saw that Kelloggs' Clemente I knew I had to have it, I I I can't wait to get it in an SGC slab!
New subscriber!! Awesome pickups from Strongsville!! Sounds like the CZcamsrs had a great time. Which cards are your favorite to collect? Killebrew is my favorite player growing up in Minnesota. Enjoy your channel!! Keep up the great content!!
Thank for the subscription really appreciate it. My favorite baseball player is Henry Aaron! I grew up watching players of the 60’s and 70’s so the stars of that time are my favorites across baseball, basketball and football. Killebrew is definitely one of the guys I like to collect.
Beautiful pickups Steve. Wish you were going to the National so we could meet but maybe next year at Strongsville. awesome recap, have a great week, my friend.
Great looking cards. I picked up a 1976 Kelloggs card of Thurman Munson with the same vibrant color and centering like your Clemente for $1. Couldn’t pass it up! Keep collecting!!
It was such a good time. Great traveling with you, friend. Awesome recap -- here are the top five that are standing out to me: the Mantle (of course), the Musial (also of course), the Clemente (even though I'm not really a Kellogg fan, that one looks great), and the Hendrix and Jones RCs. Both are great photos, great designs. ... So, the buying for me continued Sunday night, lol / smh. That includes my Mr. Cub -- ugh, $20, that was an ordeal! I'll let you know when it arrives.
Hey, John really had a great time! Looking forward to seeing what Banks you picked up. Also looking forward to checking out some shows or card shows in Michigan this summer. Take care my friend, talk to you soon!

Thanks, Sammy, I wish we could have had more time to talk also, time just flew by! Unfortunately, I have a family commitment the same weekend as the National so I won't be able to be there this year
Thank you, I think vintage Football is undervalued and I enjoy collecting them. If you have not watched TJMAC Vintage Cards and collectable or Stories in Cardboard you should check them out, both share fantastic vintage football!
