Monique Vaughan, MD improving surgery outcomes in women for pelvic floor disorders such as prolapse.
Monique Vaughan, MD, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Transcript:
Over the last 10 to 20 years, there's been an increased emphasis on team science and biomedical research. And this really refers to the concept of creating building a unique and multidisciplinary team, where each member of the team uses his or her unique knowledge, skills and expertise to solve medical problems and improve the care we deliver to patients.
I'm Monique Vaughn, I'm an assistant professor here in the department of ObGyn at UVA, and I'm specifically a uro gynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon, which means that I treat women who have pelvic floor disorders.
We know that approximately 25% of all women and 50% of women who have had children will go on to develop a pelvic floor disorder in her lifetime, such as prolapse. And we know that many of our prolapse surgeries could be improved by in terms of success and complications. And that's really what my research aims to do. And I anticipate that the new Institute of Biotechnology will serve as a hub for collaboration to help refine new therapies and prepare them for the process toward FDA approval.

It is a great feeling to be in God’s world; however, the accreditation process of Virginia is accepted as a contract against God’s World. There is a table difference in choice and decision in all life and the power of love is not Virginia for attraction or scholarship over time. I know this as an American Citizen born 11/25/1952. Control will never accept Virginia no matter how much blood is spilled.

In the regular age, a person that has a good family and proper religious instruction would easily say “As I look at my adult life, I sure thank the church and teachers” that just is not going to happen from anything VIRGINIA is. The policies of the United States are dramatically assistive throughout the world. It is only VIRGINIA that America needs to avoid to be a superior nation. The lowest will fall out on its own. Virginia is the only state that lifts the lowest over its head. No body that is American wins with Virginia at any level. It is the lowest Pyramid against success that has ever been known. A better world has no contact intentionally with Virginia in any contract or real estate. Virginia is a thief population and ranked birth defects of children that never grew up. There is no cure for what love or money has no effect on. Condemned on paper is as local as prison; Virginia is little people that fail with enthusiasm all known life.
