I did this by mistake, I checked my crab trap beneath my dock and was already barbequing and decided to throw them on the grill with minced garlic with salt and pepper, changed my life... Right in the comfort of my backyard...

Tug we got ms Sandra’s house rented for the end of September yall should come over and bust these shrimp with us. We got a place down the rd on private to go put an arrow in a doe or 2 also. Your videos got us all messed up lol we’re coming up from vero beach/ Sebastian inlet with our new 10ft shrimp nets and we got some crab traps from your buddy as well 😂 yall have too much fun!!

loved your show! made me jealous....i'm a landlocked ocean bum, uscg when 17, then florida inst of tech, then marine oil exploration until i hit key west and got married. snook rocks! in the 90s you needed a snook sticker for your license, ive lived on indian river and st lucie river...snook country like jupiter...played electrician at a place in jupiter called admirals cove. had a great place in the keys as well, open water on bay point next to sugarloaf. your tow rig is impressive, in my cg days we used double braided sampson line....on seismic boat we towed 1000 ft cable full of hyrdrophones.....thanks for the ride

On a smaller boat like yours, can you be an engineer if you only went through marine mechanics school? Or would you have to go get your engineering degree?
You would have to gain sea time in the engine room by working then take a few courses as you work. Kinda more of a on the job training.

Used to dip net Blue Crab and as far as I can remember only the females with eggs were illegal. There is also a limit on how many per day.

The meanest fish, caught by the meanest fisherman?
Time as a crew member in the Navy or Coast Guard counts toward your merchant marine card and usually results in a higher entry level.
Time on a military vessel can be used towards a rating or license yes but it does not count day for day. It does not get you a high entry level if you hold an ordinary seaman you start out cleaning toilets like everyone else.

You would still have to ship all that equipment to south Florida via less efficient method aside from using port facilities that charge more

What’s funny is lots of people don’t really know rivers can be from the sea also like a sound. Salt water river. I know this cause I grew up on one and they have tides. A river with tides. Not all rivers are fresh water at all
