We visited our good friends in Scottsville and they treated us to a delicious fried fish dinner This Beer Battered Fish Fry recipe is one to DEFINITELY try at home.

Fresh water Striper an Hybrid are a strong fish here in TN. Been eating some since the 90s . Strong is taste for most . Soak them in cheap apple juice over night or another day. Season them with Don Prudomme Cajun blackened seasoning. Melt whole butter roll the chunks an out into pan an let sit till butter is hard an throw them into a white cast iron skillet an stand back when the butter hits the skillet. Flip after couple mins an there won't be one left in the lake bro. Or boil chunks in Sprite the soda liter bottle an make yourself a dip. We called that poor man's shrimp here in TN. I have been deep frying panfish in beer batter for as long as i remember. No better way of doing it. And beer battered Crappie are excellent.

Wow, Scottsville!? I live 25 miles north of Scottsville in Glasgow Ky (Barren county), so close LOL! Hope you didn't get to bored there, it has a dollar store a McDonalds and a sonic LOL thats pretty much it. That fish looked killer!

We have lots of hybrids here in the lakes in Kansas. We call them Wipers. White bass/striped bass hybrid. Never thought about eating them. This preparation may change my mind. Unlike the smallmouth and largemouth bass, they can't reproduce.
