New Genesis Problem AEB Sensor

Just encountered a new problem with my Genesis. I randomly keep getting AEB sensor warning. Sensor is clean and connected and also plastic cover is clean. This happened out of nowhere while driving on sunny day. It can last for a few days and also switch to normal in minutes. Very annoying. Can not use cruise control while the alert is on. Any of you experiencing this? Please comment below.

Thanks Caneswag, the instructions were great. Just a couple of comments to help other who watch it, as the instructions for putting in back together were a little less detailed. 1. Don't forget to reattach the red to the crew on the gear housing. 2. Remember to reattach the wire to the turn signal before bolting the motor back in place.

Could be two things. If you are driving in heavy rain, it will come on due to the radar interference from the water. The other is that one of your ABS speed sensors is going bad. They are located in the hubs of your wheels.
@@CaneSwag83-01 Had the car for 3 years and is always doing this (rain or shine), dealership had no clue. I just bought a used radar sensor on eBay so I will try that first when I get it and if that doesn't work then move on to the abs sensors.
Take neg off bat terminal, turn on lights (to drain any power in capacitors or chips, wait 5 min reconnect battery. Car might idle funny for a short bit as system recalibrates. Should fix
Thanks for the reply. My issues was a bad abs hub. Replaced and everything went back to normal.
Thank you so much for this video. My abs /aeb light was on, did a diag at the dealer - bought the part from 1A auto and had my mechanic fix it. He replaced the Front left hub assembly. Alert went away 👏👏 no more alerts in dashboard.

I am so grateful for this video - thanks - detailed professional and easy to follow.I just completed the job in under 3 hours - if the passeneger mirror does the same thing, I think I can halve that now I know what to do. The best tip was keeping everything separated, so I knew which screws needed to go back where when putting things back together. I was also quoted $1000 +++ by dealership as I needed a new complete Mirror Housing, apparently!!!!! Thanks again.

Hello to you all. I had my rack and pinion replaced and took it to Firestone which pulled the codes… 168787, 162587. Do you think a ABS sensor replacement would resolve this? I have a 2015 as well
I was told wheel speed sensors may be the issue.
After replacing passenger side mirror gears, mirror could not fold, I just hear "1click" sound, what could be the problem?

Picked up my new G70 about a month ago. Driving home from the dealer, 18 km on the odometer, dry and sunny out, nothing on the road ahead of me, three times, a few minutes apart, the AEB flashed a collision warning and applied the brakes. Disabled the system as soon as I got home as I have zero interest in the car deciding when to apply the brakes. Cruise control is now malfunctioning with the same AEB warning. Taking it back for service shortly.
Sounds like a bad ABS sensor in the wheel.

I also followed the video and replaced the broken retracting gear today. Gear was slipping on shaft. I Did break a retainer tab on the mirror mount but it works okay. I'm not sure how you get around that. Took three hours. Reassembly went quicker than I expected. Tried screwing motor ground wire into wrong hole. I'm taking my wife to Whataburger to celebrate $1000+ savings!

Good afternoon, Would you happen to know the exact name or part number for the phillip head tip that connects the inner window molding to the door frame? While doing this project for the mirror, I noticed that I'm missing those screws on both doors, and my OCD is now drovong me crazy.
If it's the plastic one that you first pull out, you might be able to replace it with a regular push pin.

Hey there, love the video! I'm having this issue with my passenger mirror and Hyundai has quoted me $1800.00 because they said the whole assembly needs to be changed. Would you think that the motor shown in the video will solve that issue? My blind side detection is gone as well and the dealership has said that they wont be able to diagnose it until the mirror is fixed because they are connected. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Is your gear broken? I'm not sure about the BSD.
@CaneSwag83-01 they said that the mirror isnt getting any power. I just purchased the gear on amazon and am going to give it a shot.

Did you end up resolving your Blind spot detection issue? My dealer is telling me the same thing but I don't want to buy the whole assembly if I don't have to.

Try yanking on the arm rest pretty hard a few times. Others have had this issue, and it got easier over time. Look on genesisowners forum.com

TY. I never work on my own car. Watched and couldn't of been easier. I appreciate the 411. That hard to reach clip was left undone when I was replacing the filter. Did what you suggested and easily clipped all 4 spots. Did learn a lesson, broke a few plastic rivets and will have them delivered tomorrow. Oh well, almost without a mistake! Lol.

hello sir just watched all ur videos related to genesis, great instructions, i have a genesis g80 the auto dimming of the driver side mirror has stopped , i don't think it is the fuse because there is no light or something the mirror tilts and move what do u think does the mirror part needs to be replaced or is it some sensor itself
Did you recently tint your windows? If yes, that could be what is going on.

Do you have a sunroof? Did you have to go thru a recalibration process for that since the battery was disconnected?
No recalibration needed.
