My son-in-law and I set up his 32 ft trailer exactly here, up next to the dunes, a few weeks ago on fathers day weekend.... just before tropical storm Alberto. Sunday was beautiful with white puffy clouds, choppy but relatively normal surf. The high tide was probably 100+ feet from the dunes. Monday was exactly the same. We grilled some steaks Monday night, built a small campfire and sipped a bit of Kentucky's finest. The tide line was still about 100 feet from the dunes. We went to be about 11:30 and all was well. At 2:00 am our generator quit and the AC went off, waking us up. When we looked out the door of the trailer, the tide was coming up under the trailer with every wave that came in at least 3 - 4 inches deep. It was washing all of our outdoor gear up under the trailer, washing the sand out from under the trailer and truck wheels. We were shocked. It came up so fast. After a couple of hours getting the trailer stabilized and up on some 8' 2x10s, we waited for the sun to come up. At the crack of dawn we rescued what we could, packed it up in the truck and by 9:30 we were headed through the surf back the 3.5 miles to the pavement. The moral of this story is to always keep an eye on the weather forecast and don't overstay your welcome. The beach is like the desert. Mother nature is always waiting with a surprise. Need 2-3’ chain for your anchor so it grabs at angle and also it looks like that drain for the cooler has a quick connect to drain it maybe?

Hey, sir! Great video. I fish from a 2023 wake pro 230 (crazy, right?!) I’ve learned that all you need are 2 poles, nothing more than 6’6, otherwise it gets cumbersome. I use Penn Battle 3 (one 4500 and one 6000 and heavy rod). I have to be deliberate with what I bring. Don’t be afraid to move around on the ski, they’re like water tanks!

Great vid, subscribed. I fish out of Freeport. One suggestion I would make with a worried wife and also if you value your life. Get a Garmin mini inReach. It is a satellite text messenger that tracks your location. It can send live updates to your wife or with a text message you send. Will work anywhere on the ocean. And most importantly, it has a SOS button that you can hit and rescue will come if things go south. I also carry a PLB to call for rescue as a backup. I wouldn't go on the ocean or anywhere remote without them. They are life savers.

I admire what you are doing. It is very real, and brave (from the perspective of handling the ski, video and fishing, while keeping afloat in rough waters) . Keep them coming. Just subscribed because I want to see how your pull this off (am sure you will master fishing of this thing).

I think configuring the jetski's for fishing is a terrific idea. VERY versatile. Been waiting a long time to see something like this.
