Try a short section of chain that attaches directly to the anchor. Then attach the rope to the other end of the chain. The chain helps keep the shank down so the flukes can dig in.

Grappling anchors(especially one that small) wont hold much on a sandy bottom. Better to just get a fluke style anchor.

Need 2-3’ chain for your anchor so it grabs at angle and also it looks like that drain for the cooler has a quick connect to drain it maybe?

When backing off your trailer, turn the handlebars opposite of what you would think. It is different than backing a car. To get the rear to go left, push down with your right hand and visa versa to get the rear to go right. Took me a few times to realize what I was doing wrong. Hope this helps.

Can I suggest you check out Andrew Hill from New Zealand. He had imput into the design of these skis due to his extensive knowledge and experience on jetski fishing. He also sells accessories for jetski fishing, like real covers to keep saltwater off your reals, these also help secure your rods in the holders when using small bungee. I'm sure as you go out more you will get more use to the ski, it takes time like anything else. All the mate and stay safe on the water.

He can show you so much. It doesn't matter what vehicle you use to fish. Pay for a trip. He will get you tuned up on fishing skills. This will make you successful, swallow your pride and open your ears. Call him, he is so easy to talk to, down to earth. Because I care. Your welcome.

One thing about shallow water, it's a minimum of 3 feet, BUT that said, I've ran through 6 inches of water on a plane NO PROBLEM. If you are on a full plane, like 25 knots or more, you won't suck up any rocks or anything. You will suck them up when you start it in shallow water though, not moving. thanks for the video. We run them in Alaska and Mexico, we have two in each stgate

  • @freeforall825

Different types of anchors are meant for different types of bottom conditions. If you're in sandy bottom waters you need a fluke syle anchor. The one you have is meant more for bottoms with debris that it can catch on. It would work fine on the river or lake.

I would imagine your fuel expense is far less with that than it would be with a boat.
I used to do the overnight Tuna trips out of Port A. Sometimes we would stop at the nearshore rigs to catch bait on the way out. I would slay fish off the back with little 1-2 oz jigs while they worked bait in the front. Bull Reds, Red Snapper, Bonita, Bluefish... not anything worth keeping or legal to keep at the time but still a ton of fun on lighter tackle

Did you consider buying a jetski with the base platform and kitting it out yourself? Im really on the fence on buying the fishpro or buying the similar ski without the fishing accessories and building it how i want. I would figure a way to design a livewell like the one on bigger boats, with the sight glass. Just cause it frikkin looks amazing. Have a separate cooler for days where i dont need live bait

My question is your camera set up. Looks like you have a super rack connection and then you have a GoPro stick or something? I like how you got your footage when you were on the water.

I use a custom mount for the front that is specifically made for the seadoo to hold the camera. Then invisible selfie stick with an Insta360 x3 mounted. This gives me a 360 view and can get any direction when editing. No need for multiple gopros mounted..

I just think they could have made those more functional, like storage devices maybe? It needs a live well and a more modern chart plotter. Especially if its introduced in 2025. Seat: I understand this one as mine, me being a taller guy, feels wobbly but never tipped since you simply counter lean the waves like any normal human would.
Livewell drain: it has a drain built into it, if you didn't set it up right, that's not on Seadoo.
Anchor: Again, your using the anchor wrong. It's not a wedge anchor. Google basic operation for the anchor type along with how we settup antisnags for claw anchors.
Bumpers: this is just straight up laziness for consumerism. $20 at walmart got me 4 marine bumpers and 20ft of rope to hang off the side.
Hard to control: yeah I can't help you there. My 5yr old niece even has no issues getting it off the trailer or doing idle maneuvers with her parents or I walking her through it. It's just throttle control, point the handle where you wanna go.

Intelligent Debris Free (iDF) Pump System.iDF enables riders to free debris from clogged intakes without ever getting in the water. That means more time to enjoy the ride without getting wet.

Seems like the things that make it a fishing ski are the same things that make it a poor tool for the job... Would never own one. A decent used Bass Boat is a better option. This review reminds me of the old joke... "So, other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?"

I myself am debating this or a boat. For the price I am think 18-20ft boat is the way to go, but time will tell. Luckily I have the shop for a boat.

@@jeremyharris6635I think you should follow your gut but it would depend on what your intentions are. If you are only fishing solo, the fish pro can get places fast and in super skinny water. With that being said If you get 600 total hours out of a jet ski, you did real good. They don't last very long historically for the price point. My boats range from 1,200 - 3,500 lbs and have between 4 - 7 inch drafts. I like to take others fishing and can go just about anywhere I want to go. Top speed 35mph. If you want to go fast, buy a jet ski. If you want to fish and entertain your friends, buy a boat. God bless ya buddy. 🙏I also wanted to thank you kind sir for uploading this video. It was great. I appreciate your honest review. Good stuff. 💯
