Part one of my latest road trip Sea-Doo adventure, fishing of my FISHPRO Trophy in New Zealand.
With a 5am start for the car drive, towing the Trophy on the @GFABTRAILERS from Auckland up to the Far North for my base for a couple of days.
Beach launching in the harbour with a short ride out to the local fishing grounds before heading out 55 kilometres from the mainland to the deepwater fishing grounds.
Great video. Congratulations on your catches 😊
Thank you, it’s always exciting when a trip goes to plan!
Such a great watch, couldn't take my eyes away !
Cheers Simon, another video coming over the next week with some amazing on water conditions 👍
Epic episode! Thanks for sharing. That shark bit was gold you just knew it was going to happen.
Pleased you enjoyed it, the taxman alway wins! I shouldn’t have given the King so much line 👍
Great Adventure! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching, part two of this adventure will be added to my channel this week👍
Great video Andrew thanks....
Always nice to hear you guys are appreciating the vids, I’m really grateful you guys take time to comments rather than just another like to a video 👍
Epic battle!
See that Mackerel Was pulling you along at a knot or 2😂😂👍
Thoroughly enjoyed that and would love to have a go. Far removed from the UK tench fishing I'm about to embark on 😂
Thanks for watching, we are pretty grateful for our fishery here! We if we do the mile, we normally get the smiles 😄 Have you got a ski setup for fishing over there?
Salam dari indonesia salam strike
I'm excited to see what you caught! Could you send a video or pictures of how your rod holder is mounted to the seadoo pro?
Here is what I use for the heavy duty Rod, they are back in stock next week jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack
Hey Andrew. Great vid as always! Quick question please, does the rear roller on your GFAB trailer pivot or is it fixed? In the vid it looks like it is fixed (but angled). If so, no issue with beach retrieval if it is fixed? Thanks!
Hi David, yes the roller is fixed on the angle. So far so good with my retrievals…
@Stefan NZ here is the link to the Lithium Battery I used on the Daiwa Electric Reel shorturl.at/GU379
Hay is turkey❤
I didn’t know that the fish pro could have a windshield
Yes it’s easily added, it is the identical windshield from the Explorer Pro and can be installed by yourself in a few minutes. Note the original Fish Pro Road Cover will no longer fit once installed, you would require the Explorer Pro road cover.
The rod holder for the bent butt deep rod , Does it go into the seat mount ? Is there a special attachment? I just bought a new 24 Fish pro trophy and will fish offshore for tuna this may be perfect for trolling with a heavy bent butt rig . Thank you. Cool video.
Hi, it mounts to the factory position of where the factory Wake Pole attaches
@@jetskifishing So weird , im scrolling through all your videos to finally see the replies. I would think You Tube would notify you when a reply is made. Thank you Andrew !
Awesome ! What are I using to hold the electric reel !?
Hi, the electric rod and reel is located in the heavy duty triple rod holder that mounts to where the wake pole option normally fits. It’s easily secures to the factory fittings, order at jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack
We call the Barel Fish in America
soon no fish will be left with so many jet skis fishing
Gud fişh
Thanks
Hi just a quick question. What sort of fishing line do you use for fishing in the ocean not knowing what your going to catch how do you choose the write line ?.
Hi Jeff
Happy to help, for my general soft bait fishing I use a spinning reel soft bait set to catch Snapper with 20 lbs braid/line. For the deep water fish with the electric reel, I am using 80 lbs braid.
@@jetskifishing I don’t get out to the ocean living in central Canada. It’s all fresh water fishing up here. That braided line must be strong stuff. Good luck with the fishing those were cool fish you caught.
@@jeffwindrim975 I’ve fished St Laurence when in Quebec… a beautiful country you live in! The braid breaking strain is much more than nylon 👍 no stretch
What rod holder are u using for electric
I manufacture those Heavy Duty Triple Rod Holders, they are available at my website👍
Nice fish, but that gaff strap around the wrist is a bad habit to get into.. I'd much rather loose a fish and a gaff then get drug out with no way to turn it loose.. a lot of good mates have died getting their wraps wrong and not being able to let go. Get a floating gaff or carry a spare.
Enjoy the video, but I’m not sure why you guys spend all that money on a Sea-Doo when you could have a decent boat that you could walk around on and have more room seems very cramped
@@JamesWilson-lg7bx thanks for taking to comment, many of the guys who fish off a Sea-Doo, also own a boat or have owned a boat previously. The general consensus is the ski is more fun getting to and from the spots as they are extremely fun to ride and very quick! We lose a few comforts but the benefits out weigh the negatives, especially being so low to the water and in touch with nature. In New Zealand, boating has got very expensive, the FISH PRO ticks many boxes and makes for great value bang for buck 👍
