This epic battle on my favourite Daiwa rod and reel set I use for big Snapper.
Reel - Daiwa Morethan Branzino
Rod - Daiwa Saltist Coastal 70H
Braid - 20 lbs
Leader - 30 lbs Daiwa J Thread
Bait - Gulp 7" King Shrimp, Pumpkin Seed
One of the toughest Jetskifishing battles I've encountered yet, hope you enjoy my latest the full length video with the uncut fight (excuse all the puffing and grunting, this is what keeps us hooked on these adrenalin fueled fights)

Such a buzz hearing the singing braid 👍 I should have redone the knots after that as the leader frayed and busted my gear on a smaller fish 😩

Cheers for watching, it sure started off like a Shark and it took a while to get up and go. It’s a new personal best for me on a Softbait, it weighed in at 18.95kg, was a solid fish 👍

Hi, if I tie the Catch Bag down, I use either of the cleats on the side of the bow and strap it to the rear seat grab handle…
Andrew great content what are the orange reel protective bags made of & where to purchase them, my trophy is coming soon? Did you install a bilge pump w a float switch? What was the 7" soft bait?
The Orange reel bags are my “Ultimate Reel Covers” they are available on my website in various colours. They help protect reels from salt water spray that damages reels and the covers easily secure the rods so they don’t fall out of the rod holder. The bait is a Gulp 7” King Shrimp. My Trophy has the standard bilge system, it’s sufficient for my adventures👍

Hi. Keen to find out, do use the rod holder on the cooler box when fishing with the electric reel? Is it strong enough?
For my electric reel fishing it’s very heavy gear. I use it on my stainless rod holder, it’s made tough and better suited for the load. They are currently out of stock but I will have more available in 10 days jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack

I recently managed my first kingi on my fishpro, 76cm and then a 10.5kg kingi on the next drop, how heaving did this fish go?
The Kingfish sure are exciting, this one went 18.95kg, 1145mm length 👍

Hi Stu, the particular rod and reel spec is listed in the video description, it’s a Morethan Branzino. The reel is very high end, you can get similar sized Daiwa reels that will meet your expectations for softbaiting, look at the Saltist series.
