Sounds like a lot of conjecture to be honest. I don't remember the source, maybe Alien Colonial Marines technical manual, but I remember reading something about how a ship is shunted into a tachyon bubble inside which one time moves much faster, which is why hypersleep is necessary and why androids are used to maintain the ship, E.g. it takes a ship weeks to get to a destination, but inside the bubble and on the ship years pass instead of weeks.

Edit: Sorry for the wall of text 🥺 So the facehuggers have always bothered me from a Biology point of view as they just don’t make sense they are a waste of resources and from a biological evolution standpoint waste is always removed. So I my problem is Xenomorph life-cycle starts with the making of the egg that makes the facehugger then stops so the facehugger can lay another egg this time inside of a host, ok it’s more of a live birthing this time into the host lifeform were it carry’s on its development into a chestburster and again we have something odd from a nature standpoint, the facehugger dosnt attempt to eat its host like most parasitic life forms that are injected into a live host stuff like the tarantula wasp (and meny other types of wasps) that inject the host with an egg that hatch and eat the host as they grow or in a slightly different version the wasp will lay an egg in a tree hollow then go out and sting grubs to paralysis them and stack the hollow with still living grubs before sealing the hole with resin, after the wasp grub hatch’s it will then eat its way though it’s still living larder then pupae into a adult wasp and Chew its way out of the resin seal. Basically the egg idea is fine but it shouldn’t be a facehugger that comes out of it, it should be what we call a chestburster but a lifecycle having both the egg the FH and the CB is too meny steps in the chains, one of the three should have been evolved out at some point. So there is one explanation but it’s a bit of a stretch and it removes the need for a nest, the queen would need to be more mobile and no where near as dangerous as she is, basically she would sneak up close to the desired target host and lay an egg or two not to meny as they could be destroyed if found then with the trap set the queen retreats and waits for the new burns to return to the nest then when the colony is large enough we can then switch to laying eggs that become hatch new xenos aka what we call the chestburster only it’s not bursting chests anymore. The other option is the queen has a sting or other means of implanting an egg into a host again forgoing the need for an egg and FH. I think we saw something like this in a film I never watched but I’ve seen the clip where the alien latches onto a pregnant woman’s face and starts pumping eggs into her womb which of course is silly because wrong hole! That’s not how human anatomy works.

We still know so little about the brain I mean according to science dreams shouldn’t exist! There is no scientific explanation for why we dream but we do. Then in the more unscientific fields there is info that shows that some people have information from a former life they can have no possible way of knowing, kids that are able to describe how where and when the person they claim to be passed away with no possible way they could have learned about this stuff, people that have skills they never learned. In a similar field you have people that have near death experience and come back with skills they didn’t have before like suddenly been and expert painter. Maybe it isn’t just the xeno that have genetic memory’s?

Didnt Ridley say that they (the Engineers) sent Jesus? Also a creators creators creator (a species created the Engineers, who created humans who created androids etc) would just be a constant regression never really answering anything, but instead just moving the goal posts/answer further away. But i still really like your idea the Space Jockey is a superior race to the Engineers. That the Engineers found, stole or inherrited the tech, then copied, improved or reverse engineered it is a cool idea too.

The androids or synthetics must have ran long side the construction of earlier Tyrell replicants and kept around after nexus models fell out of favor in 2049...In addition the synths ended up doing exactly what the replicants did in 2022 and after 2049. The blade runner and aliens time lines line up so well.

I have an Dark Horse Comics 6 book alien series and the Engineers/ Aliens in the comic book look Just Like That it’s NOT a suit. Also I have a Space Jockey vinyl model from 1992 and the box describes the machine the jockey is sitting behind is a Space Navigating Telescope. Remember their technology is different than ours.

Another thing that bothered me was the type of technology used in both ships. Prometheus and Covenant had too advanced technology compared to what was seen on the Nostromo that even if it is a cargo ship, they do not coincide. And that was many years after the prequels.

EXACTLY!!!! The juggernaut ship it’s slightly rounded shape and the original derelict ship looks bigger and “U” shaped.

Easy fix to this video is to eliminate the screeching, distracting and annoying sound effects in the background. It adds nothing, only distracts.

The author H.G.Wells had wanted the story of WotW to be a comment on the way the British had invaded Tasmania and eradicated the local population. In one of the first sentences of WotW he writes that the Martians had observed humanity like 'bacteria under a microscope.' The metaphor cannot be lost on anyone. Elsewhere, he tells about how the Martians had eradicated all microbal life on Mars while they themselves developed into a sort of superorganism which was 'all brain'.

The derelict looked bio-mechanical because it had been taken over by the xenomorphs and they were doing their own version of terra-forming to make it hospitable for their queen to lay the eggs. This came to me when watching the colonial marines entering the sub basement of the power station the first time. It looks very industrial to start. Metal piping, metal stairs, metal everywhere. Then as they reach the outer area of the nest, the industrial look transforms over to the bio-mechanical look in the derelict.

Before this video I was just okay with the idea that some ships were just more advanced than others or built by different companies or contractors with a whole different design aesthetic. But for those who just have to rail on about retro-futurism versus sleek futurism this video helps with that. I appreciate what this video accomplishes by way of an explanation but I don't think it is as big of an issue as some "fans" claim it is and that to my earlier statement there should be room for various design approaches.
